I don't know how anyone who calls themselves a true fan of AC can dislike this game. It is an amazing game with all the best elements of Black Flag, with a story that is crucial to the main canon of AC. It also shows us a side to both the Assassins and Templars that we had never seen before. I don't want to reveal too much, but we learn that the Assassin Brotherhood, while predominantly righteous, does have a few corrupt sects; and the Templar Order, while predominantly corrupt, does have a few righteous sects.
I'm looking forward to FC4 as well so I'll be sure to check out some of this vid too. I'm pretty much in the same situation with this as I am with AC, meaning I haven't beaten FC3 yet either. lol I'm close to it though. Anyways, thanks again. Later!

Just look at some of the games coming out in the next year and then decide whether you want it or not. I don't buy games or not depending on peoples opinions or game reviews, I buy them if I like the series/they look good. I bought AC III the day it came out, and loved it. Regardless of what other people say, your opinion is what affects you the most and the one that matters most. If you want to get AC Unity, go for it. I like it, even with some glitches in SP and many in MP.
Why does the game look so crappy at moments i mean AC4 was looking great even on last gen consoles it was pretty gorgeous hell even AC3 (that looks pretty good for an 2012 game) looks better then this at moments i mean look at The women face during the cinematic at 52:36 , the eyes of Shay's friend at 52:49 are kinda strange,the animations of Achilles face at 53:00 reminded me of the late animations of the Ps2. Before i jumped to next-gen i remember some AMAZING looking games on the old systems (AC4 ; The last of Us ;GTA 5 and some other old games that were gorgeous back at the time : AC2 The Witcher 2 Heavy Rain etc.) And this is one of the last AC games if not THE last AC game on old systems so why ubi didn't you make some good goodbye kiss graphics like you did for AC4 ? But the game looks good most of the time just there are these kind of moments like i mentioned that REALLY look crappy and we feel that kinda got lazy on these parts
thats very true. Although I was expecting big things from this game, unity was always gonna be the bigger star of the two. I feel that this game is basically just af3 with irsih actors and a slightly altered story line. I know that it is a carry-on but it is awfully similar to ac3. Graphics are stunning none the less. I might not even buy this and I'm a massive ac fan. Unity unfortunately isn't on the 360 or 0s3 so I can't get it. I dont like mentioning other games but I cannot wait for shadows of mordor. It seems like that's the next big multi-platform game coming up. Rogue isn't worth the £35-45 retail price for me. I'm not much of a fan of this sea combat 😒

If you hate the idea of being a templar then go back to revelations real quick and play that level where the assassins run altair and his son out of masyaf. Then switch back to rogue and play in altairs robes, i had a loot more fun that way pretending it was altair in his years of exile.

PS3 and 360 = Garbage. This was probably the last time a company bothers to release a last gen game. If you have a 360 or a PS3 just throw it out, they're ebay garbage at this point and no new games are coming to them as they can't graphically keep up.
I completely agree, I have a two thousand dollar gaming rig and right next to it, I have my PS2 for days I'm feeling a little old school. Best of both worlds, and growing up in the 90s, I grew up in the days of Super nintendo and Sega. PSOne was my first console so I know graphics don't make the game, I of all people know that.
Man, I'm banging my head against the wall because you didn't go and do the other computers before jumping back in the Animus. Overall the modern day seems more intriguing then Unity, which is surprising. But 4 kind of fell flat, so I'm hoping this at least improves on that. Hope there's more forced moments with some more playtime.

Buy it if you're in it for the gameplay. If you want the full North American story, and have the wallet for it, buy Assassin's Creed 3, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, and Assassin's Creed: Rogue, and follow the story in chronological order of the time period: AC4, AC: Rogue, and lastly, AC3.
- Can't edit on iPad - Don't bother buying the other AC games if you're in it for the gameplay, this game isn't much different than the others, gameplay wise.
I think, and this is just my opinion, if you can get all of the games, go for it. Play it in chronological order to get the full experience of AC games. It will take a long time and could get frustrating/tedious, I loved it.
The only reason why not that much attention was directed towards AC Rogue, was because it's kinda the same as Black Flag, except like weapons and stuff. And Black Flag was just awful.
This game actually makes more sense than Black Flag!! It feels more connected to AC3 and would have made more sense to make after AC3 than Black Flag!! ;)
I bought Assassin's Creed: Rogue for my son's birthday. He was really looking forward to playing it. He is very disappointed that the DLC has not worked since launch. He has noted several other bugs and glitches in the game. He has called Ubisoft and PSN several times and no one has come up with a resolution. Worse than that an Ubisoft representative assured him he could resolve the issue if he deleted his game, the DLC, and his saved games (30+ hours of gameplay). After following these directions (per the Ubisoft rep) the issues still exist. Every one of the SEVEN! calls to Ubisoft has resulted in being forced to start a new game, spending the next two hours trying to confirm whether or not their "fix" actually worked. Ubisoft's method of using their customers as guinea pigs to test theories of resolution is not acceptable by any means.
I suggest playing with little to no hud. Makes the game that much more interesting and harder. You have no map to rely on and can't see when to counter, you have to actually stay focused and counter when needed....while performing the proper counter on the proper targets. (Dodge roll, break defense, kill counter,...etc.) It certainly brushes up on your skills and makes you THAT much better, and it's THAT much more fun to play!!
Okay so i've seen Assassin's Creed unity's problems, that doesn't put me off cause they can be patched. however why even make a game for last gen, its a copy of Black flag no doubt about it. Why deliver a shitty game Ubisoft for no reason at all. You should be encouraging them to move to this generation, don't bring out games for the sake of it.
Maybe they make a game for last gen because not everybody in the world can get next gen just like that. I have bought both unity and rogue and the first game I will be playing is rogue because I find it will show a new story on what happened during Haytham Kenway's life

II like your walkthrough on rogue man, no annoying commentary and i liked how u make sure we get to hear all the backstory when shay talks to liam on the ship. I was watching a different walkthrough the guy was just so bad at freerunning it was so frustrating, i dont expect walkthroughs to be perfect but just to be competent enough, ill be sticking with your walkthrough for rogue, thanks.
Honestly, when I first play black flag I didn't like boats but I liked everything else, next time I played it grew on me, now I wish this was on ps4 or xb1, but I might pick this up for last gen maybe
God, I was annyoed by so many things in this video: the Morrigan was in critical condition after a fight, and you chose to salvage the enemy ship instead of repairing your own; you kept attacking Samuel Smith's ship when the game repeatedly told you not to; when you were defending your ship, you were extremely slow to kill the enemy crew, and let a lot of your own crew die...
and when the ship was being attacked after he kills the guy in the mission -.- he choose to fight instead save the ship, the guy playing this is suck, I am so much better

It takes place before AC3 and after Black Flag, if it took place after AC3 then Achilles would be dead... The story isn't confusing at all, yet a lot of people seem to think so...

I've never played any of this games though they look fun and I also noticed it's about to come out for pc which is a bigger plus. But the way this company has been pooping out games left to right and some with terrible issues, they don't deserve a dollar from me. Maybe I'll get it on sale on ebay or steam for a fraction of the cost in a few months.
Ok guys let me guide you to the truth of the AC storyline. We have Altair, (AC1) during the crusades. Ezio, (AC2, AC Brotherhood, and AC Revalations) back during the Renaissance. Then Edward Kenway, (AC 4) back in like the 1730's or somethin like that. Then we have Shay, (AC Rogue) in the 1750's I thank. Then we have Connor, (AC3) during the American Revolution. Then finally we have Arno Dorian, (AC Unity) during the French Revolution. So the reason why Achilles looks younger is because he is.
Just to clarify, Assassin's Creed Rogue and Assassin's Creed Unity came out at the same time. Rogue being for PS3/360, and Unity being for PS4/XB1. Of course, both the games are for PC as well. It also helps if you actually read the guy's video description.
Ah well.. looks like I will have to wait until 2015... then I will enjoy it on PC... BUT... if the story demands Adewale's death.. I will curse Ubisoft....
Am I the only person to think that Rogue is such a bland game(I'm only halfway through and I already feel like giving up)? I didn't expect any improvements in gameplay but I just can't forgive Ubisoft for such a bland storyline and forgettable missions. Or do I feel this way because I didn't complete Black flag and Unity? Shay doesnt know Edward. And he certainly didn't know Arno. So I thought it wouldn't make a difference as I wanted to see the story unfolding through Shay's eyes.
Assassins Creed Unity is FULLY PLAYABLE. I don't understand the hate its getting. It's arguably better than AC2 in fact in my opinion it brought the series back to life. Also for people who are confused by the blood lines of the AC franchise. You don't even need lore to make sense of it. Everyone is related to everyone sooner or later. Desmond's father's grandfather's cousin's cousin's mother's uncle's cousin's sister's brother's father will sooner or later be Edward and Arno or Ezio etc etc
I wouldn't call myself the biggest assassin creed fan but played most the games excluding the ones on handhelds and Unity but I have to disagree with anyone who likes this game. I feel the game is a lesser quality game than either Black flag or AC game before that. Yes its good graphics for a last-gen game but in all its just re-skin of Black Flag. So basically a conciliation prize for those still holding last gen tech like me! The characters seemed dull and un-alive compared to Black Flag not to mention Shay was the definition of boring. There was not a single character I could relate to. The voice acting was a big flaw in my opinion and the forced Irish accents of several of the characters was a severe downgrade from the diversity of what Black Flag had. They even killed in my opinion the best supporting character in the entire AC universe! Tell me how do they make you kill a baddass like Adewale? The game story is utter crap with no substance what so ever. Just go over there and kill your former friend. What kind of bullshit is that? The whole time I was playing I was praying they kill this shit faced sociopath Shay Cormac but sadly it never came. Anybody still on the fence with this game don't waste your money like I did on a game with a empty world, useless collectable spamming, unbalanced in-game money, meaningless and inflexible character fighting moves and weapons, with empty characters with no development, and a shit story. No matter how discounted the price is don't buy it!
everyone says its basically AC 4.5, I think it looks pretty decent. Sure it looks and plays the same, but there's only so much you can do to change a game without changing the core it was built with. What else could they have added to make this something completely different? Just my opinion, though, I still think it looks decent enough to get 50$, but not 60$
I had wondered how they got out Rogue and Unity so close together. Now I know; they reused a lot of the code from AC4, just re-skinned it and did new voice actors and such. The rest is a virtual copy of AC4. ...still pretty cool, though.
Was looking forward to buying this game, but after seeing how badly ubisoft has made this franchise in the form of assassins creed unity I will never buy another AC game again. And this is coming from somebody who beat AC1 twelve times. Fuck Ubisoft.
I didnt think it was possible to see someone play AC this horribly. You should really know a game before playing. For those who dont know this game takes place after AC 4 but before AC III and concurrent with Unity.

This Ac looks surprisingly good, but God is shays voice acting bad. I'm from Ireland and I can tell his accent is really generic. The other guy Liam's VA is actually good though, it's a shame he wasn't cast to be shay

I'm a BIG fan of ac games, but seriously unity wqs a huge disappointment played it a couple of hours put it back in the case and sold it to my friend. the best ac games for me are ac 1,2 ,brotherhood, revelations, and black flag. the rest are garbage, don't know about this one tho.
i really like these new protagonist Shay and Arno. I have Unity since I sold my PS3 and could't play this but watching the videos makes me recognize Shay as pretty clever

Shay and Connor are my favorite assassins. However the side characters such as shuan,Leonardo,Kidd/Reed, axeman, and malik(my favorite) make the assassins Creed games for me
ok i love your gameplay and this is awesome, but there are a couple of times when they tell you to do something and you do the exact opposite, like for instance run away from the boats raining mortars down upon you, you looked like you were gonna fight them, or get to your ship before its smashed to smithereens by the cannons same mission, but the biggest thing that got me was when the characters are telling you, don't fire at the boat you are chasing and telling you to use your new weapon you got to destroy the mines and you just shoot at the boat, they yell at you and you continue to do so....then you try to shoot the mines with your front cannons and broadside cannons instead of the machine guns ya just got....LIKE COME ON MAN XD, but besides all that you are still doing a great job with this so far and i like it a lot, keep up the good work and listen to what the npc's say XD
