MasterAssassin Well actually ,it just feels smooth but it doesn’t feel like you’re in control ,sometimes I still get those annoying misunderstood directions of the system

Anh Minh Phạm yeah I know what you mean, I meant in control as you can kind of decide multiple different approaches by using smoke bombs, stuns, disguise, etc.. but yeah I definitely experience some difficulty in misunderstood controls

Im kinda late but, after playing Syndicate I have better appreciation for the control I had in Unity, I still play with my friend on Unity even if I already have 100% on it

neutral good It is in Oddyssey ,Oddyssey is like a mix of all the previous features

It is kind of in Unity to, they pretty much just blended high and low together and it makes a pretty smooth experience

It's not a skill the creed would teach you. The Templar side of assassination is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be... unnatural

The nice thing about AC Unity is that once you understand the mechanics, it isn’t incredibly difficult to make badass-looking shit.

How is that rare? You’ve always been able to air assassinate in Assassin’s Creed, even in AC1.

Azazel Black really. The amount of freedom, control and options AC2 gives you is unparalleled by later games. Unity’s parkour is heavily restrictive in comparison.

Azazel Black not to come off as rude, but it’s not really a matter of opinion; all of what I said is observable fact. Let’s just look at how the games play. Sprinting off an edge in AC2: you just jump off, no delay, no questions asked Sprinting off an edge in Unity: the game stops you and forces you to input again to make a jump. Back ejecting in AC2: instantaneous, at will, can animation-cancel into the action, predictable & consistent Back ejecting in Unity: have to wait until Arno decides to listen to you, cannot animation-cancel into the action, jump height changes based on the context, game will handhold by not triggering the eject immediately if you are above a dangerous drop Side ejecting in AC2: instantaneous, at will, can be animation-cancelled into, can be aimed using movement inputs, predictable & consistent Side ejecting in Unity: Non-existent. The game replaces the side eject with a contextual side hop, which cannot be performed at will, cannot be aimed, and cannot be animation-cancelled into. Manual ledge grabs in AC2: triggered by button press at any time when airborn. Holding down the button allows Ezio to manually reach out his arm in the direction of your movement inputs. Predictable & consistent. Manual ledge grabs in Unity: Non-existent. The game replaces the mechanic with a contextual ledge grab mechanic that doesn’t allow you to reach out an arm and only works if Arno hits a wall directly on a handhold. I understand that Unity’s movement looks nicer than AC2’s. But on a mechanical level, AC2’s system is superior in almost every facet. The amount of freedom and control the game gives you is so far above and beyond what Unity allows for that it’s not even close. Btw, none of this is to say that you can’t like Unity’s movement more or have your own preferences. I’m simply providing perspective on core movement gameplay mechanics in the two games and how they compare.
