In the review for Spider-Man morales they said he had the swagger of a black teenager. This comment was basically making fun of Gamespot for saying something so ridiculous.
This review is just awful. Not even once does he talk about the gameplay aspects and the things you can do around the open world. All he does is just ramble on about the story and all sorts of random crap.
Don't tell me how the story starts and ouline plot points, just review the story as a whole without specifics, and tell me about the gameplay systems and monetisation.
looks like im gonna skip and wait for deep sales like how i did with odyssey where i pick up gold edition(base game+all dlc+free assassin creed 3 remaster) on sales for $25 instead of paying full $99.
shitty thing about early reviews is that Day 1 patches might fix some bugs, so the stuff people are critical about could possibly change by the time most people play the game. Doesn't always happen, but sometimes it does. Unless the bug ruins the game completely, idc.
Some experience it some don't its just about luck. Some streamers I follow played the game for more than 20 hours and encountered 0 bug while some say it is unplayable at this stage
One of the biggest sighs of relief I have ever had came in a tailing mission on Valhalla when I got detected but it did not fail me for it. Absolutely hated tailing missions in the old AC games.
@The Cinemasins Naija I became a fan since the original Assassins creed game. And I’ll have to tell you that I agree. Each time it pulled me back to play as Desmond I would almost want to switch games because that is not what I wanted to play.
@The Cinemasins Naija This isn't about the "new fans". The modern day breaking immersion has been a thing since the beginning of the series. I've been with the series and have always heard that argument. Personally, I like the modern day but if you were really there you'd know that this isn't a new argument. People want the historical stuff, not the modern day; its what they came for. Personally though, I could care less for Layla(I find her annoying especially after Odyssey) and I wish they would just go with someone else. Perhaps Elijah Miles? Or maybe this Darcy character brought up in WD: Legion? Or maybe Callum Lynch could make a return? There are better options in my opinion. I just don't see Layla being a good main character but she could be a great side character.
@The Cinemasins Naija Nah the Desmond modern day stuff was actually interesting and relevant from AC 1 - 3. But since then, and especially with Origins/Odyssey, the modern day stuff is pointless and immersion breaking.
@@jensenanderson Nah, they sucked, last real AC was origins. Syndicate, Unity and Rogue sucked. No one wants a copy paste of one shotting people and countering smashing. AC Valhalla is fucking amazing. Probably my third fav after Brotherhood and Black Flag. And yes, I have played all AC games except revelations.
They should honestly just stop with the Animus bs, it's not smart, makes the plot more complex than it should be and doesn't add anything really to the gameplay, how about just being an assassin in a certain period of human history, plain and simple.
It's not a bad game, but certainly didn't captivate me like Odyssey did. The best ship movement/combat is still in Black Flag, by far, I would purchase a re-release of that one.
Odyssey was telling the story of the Isu more than the story of the Assassins. Both are very tied, so I found Odyssey really interesting in that regard. It would have been weird if Kassandra or Alexios already had the hidden blade, it wouldn't have made any sense.
@@SoftnappGAMEPLAY For the brotherhood yes but it is said in Odyssey and actually before that the persians had the first hidden blade as in Darius as we saw and even before that.
That’s highly subjective lol seems the majority preferred Origins. I personally got bored with both of them after approx 20 hrs, but the fool that I am will still buy this one lol
Game review scores are so inflated it's ridiculous they're so afraid to piss people off and give actual ratings that every triple a release gets at least a 7 unless it's a complete disaster like fallout 76 and even that mess will end up with a 5 or 6
My biggest gripe so far is camera angles during indoor fights. Many times a wall gets in the way and I can"t see and get killed. I can't believe camera angles are still an issue in 2020
@@cvprasad9620 any one with common sense can see this game shouldn’t be higher than miles morales . Even if you’re excluding the bugs , the voice acting and animations are so awkward in this game . The lighting and graphics isn’t even that great and the sound design is mediocre If you want to play a high quality game based around Norse mythology just play God Of War
Ubisoft ruined Assassins Creed. Assassins Creed core element was stealth and mainly well, the Templars vs the Assassins... It’s lost it’s true origin which is sad since these are rpg games now.
Seeing another medicore game get 8/10 just to later see some great title get 9/10 because amazing but not perfect. Sick and tired of crappy reviews from outlets like GS or IGN.
Maybe because it’s an 8 out of 10 game. Believe it or not, the recent Assassins Creed games have been great. Origins was amazing. This is why people like you would never be a good reviewer. Thinking a game like this is mediocre is just pathetic and laughable.
This game is far more worth the price than Spider Man Miles Morales. That’s charging £50 for a 10 hour game with no replay ability. Origins was amazing, Odyssey was good and this is great.
@@stephenbrown2512 quality over quantity. Remember hellblade?? I think it was 40 dollars at launch, and it's a 6 hr game without any replayability (unlike miles morales). And I bought it, hv no regrets whatsoever. And miles morales is 12-15 hrs including side missions and everything. Ig some people prefer playing shit forever rather than good games for a certain time.
@@stephenbrown2512 and yeah miles morales does hv some replayability, some suits are only unlockable for new game plus and some mods are also only for new game plus. New game plus in itself provides replayability becoz u can play frm the start with all your fully upgraded gear.
@@Kanuk97 yes combat felt very strange. It’s shame because I think it had a lot going for it but needed to be a lot shorter. Just got ghost of tsushima so hoping that’s good. I’ve kinda gone off big open world games but there ain’t much else to play
@@Ben-km4qy yea, I got ghost as well, I only played Valhalla first because everyone says that ghost is like assassin's Creed but much better in almost every way. Valhalla was quite disappointing though. Also considering I played RDR2 right before.

Got was a great game i own it but it had issues too. Idk if they fixed them because i beat it and haven’t touched it again but reviews and what people like are subjective.
Unless they do away with the damage sponges, I have no interest in this game whatsoever. Attacking an enemy who's a damage sponge is just so unsatisfying. That's why Ghost Of Tsushima is also great. You don't have to slash your enemies with a sword 15 times to kill them. Making your enemies damage sponges is just the devs being lazy.
I was about to buy the game on the ps store but... I'll pass... It looks like assassin's creed origins But with viking's dlc, the same way as odyssey looked like a dlc of origins, but in ancient greece I meab it's the same gameplay for the 3 games, but with different environnement. That's only my opinion of course
I agree with you a 100% they're all way too similar in combat, weapons, menu UI, even the dialogue system and the way your character folds their arms when speaking with possible side quest npc's
@@kiranohebi8804 those had distinct features and felt unique in certain ways. But after playing odyssey extensively, i can't help but see another rinse and repeat with this one, heck everything just feels reused and like a dlc to either odyssey or origins as you stated earlier
if u like a good storymode and RPG then youll like the game. they kind of strayed away from side missions being important but im not complaining. never really cared for AC side missions.
Just bought it and started the journey. Have to say I am getting quickly immersed in just the little time I've spent playing. Like all other A C worlds, I look forward to this journey.
I enjoyed this game like I did with Origins and Odyssey. On the other hand, I was utterly disappointed in Assassin's Creed Mirage, because it haven't any DLC, the map was small. Even The mission "forthy thieves" was another disappointment. Civilians are annoying because they call soldiers upon Basim. All in all I give on Valhalla 10 as my vote and Mirage a 5

Yes, there is fast travel. Yes, you can customise your outfit. Yes, you can choose between male and female Eivor at all times. Ye, this is an awful review. They didn't show half of the mechanics, but still proceded to spoil almost the entire game.
The facial expressions and overall animations and environment looks x10 better. People judged the game 5 months before release... a lot can change in that time. I always believed this game is gonna be a masterpiece and now I'm more inclined towards my point
