@@brandon1469 Reverb, yes, probably a bit of delay or overdub also - but auto-tune, are you mental? You cannot bend notes the way she does with auto-tune, you would get a step in the notes she bends between, even on milder settings.
This scene is something else... been present on the coronation of a king after seeing and learning a lot, makes you wonder, it is like the past is talking to us
this scene sent shivers down my spine, as she started singing i knew that i felt it. the soul of Assassin's Creed condensed into her beautiful song. i really hope that they will keep this direction for the series in the future.
Thanks for the upload! My game is so broken that almost none of the music work in any playthrough. It was weird because I could only hear her footsteps and her mouth was moving, but there wasn't any other sound, and my scene ended abrubtly early - at like 2minutes.
So, I came here to watch this beautiful scene again. And all I gotta say is...Guys. Chill. I'm talking to everyone in the comment section and future viewers of this video. Everyone is debating how "AC ripped off Witcher" and yadda yadda yadda. Same thing day in and day out. Look, it's true the newer ACs take inspiration from Witcher 3, but they're not carbon copies. As for this scene, yes, it is like Priscilla's song. But neither is better or worse. It's all about taste. One is an intimate song written by a performer who heard of Geralt and Yen's adventures and wanted to immortalize it in song. While the other is tied to Ireland's history with a poetess honoring the King she believes in. Just enjoy the song. If you want to make comparisons then sure! But don't be toxic about it and say, "AC sucks! Witcher is better!". Also...if you do think AC sucks then why are you here? Come on now. Why does everyone on the internet feel they need to ruin everything?
unfortunately over a minute of unnecessary dialogue and video (my opinion), but when Ciara(Julie Fowlis) starts singing is incredible, I find most Gaelic songs very haunting and captivating, this to me is probably the best scene and music in the whole game, thanks for uploading this beautiful piece, I saved the game just before she started singing, just so i could go back a few times and listen again 😋
Came here to watch this because my game was bugged (what a suprise valhalla...) and I had no music to this scene including her singing. I'm glad I was able to hear this properly now
She not only looks like Leliana from dragon age origins but sings like her too. This song reminds me of the song Lelianna sings for the Danish elves in the camp. Both are bard warriors
Believe it or not, this is quite historically accurate. The Lia Fáil still exists at the Hill of Tara, but it's not as tall as that stone/pillar. According to myth, the ground was said to shake beneath the Lia Fáil during the coronation ceremony when a legitimate High King put his hand on the stone. In the scene above, you see the stone shaking.
The one in Tara is not the real lia fáil. It was only placed there in the 19th century. If you read the tales that feature it, it is described as a flag stone
@@OverHaze yea true but like everything stuff was replaced or moved but the one one Hill of Tara dates back to BC there's even some in Scotland too Named the same name definitely more then one stone of Destiny with the same purpose to crown kings or for ceremonial rituals/ event's.
I have no idea what she was singing about but, shit I didnt want her to stop! Not gonna lie, hella caught me off guard! Theres a lot of singing in this game, which mostly just sounds like drunk Karaoke. When she started singing tho, I was literally left speechless.. and suddenly she became a lot more attractive
Just like Eivor I was laughing at her drunken singing then BAM this scene came up and I thought I died and went to heaven where the angels are welcoming me with a divine song.
Damn. I wish I could hear it playing on my TV again… my Iphone speakers just dont do it justice! Eivors face btw when she was singing= me literally except with jaw drop… Its insane! She went from being unattractive, to straight up stunning the moment she started singing
