I think Bayek is the kindest because of how nice he is to kids and just people in general but also because he helps a lot of people and because he spared the Scarab's son when he tried to kill him
There's also the side quest in Cyrene where he does leap of faiths just for some kids. Nobody would do that for the enjoyment of kids, but he took time out of his day for it
I think Connor is the kindest because he opened up his home to complete strangers and trusted others and showed compassion towards people and the world around him so much so as to put his own life on the line to save others and fight in a war purely based off that fact
"Life's hardest choices are the ones that force you to question your own moral code. My choices lead me here, standing against those I once called brothers. History may brand me traitor....rebel....or renegade. But in the end it doesn't matter how history remembers me, what matters is that I followed my own creed" -Shay Patrick Cormac
Homestead Connor is the kindest. He basically carried everyones problems on his back and smiled And since Homestead Connor is real Connor he is the kindest
@@TheFatNerd SHOW his character.Thats how he is He is reserved and stoic cause he feels like an outsider. At the homestead he lets himself go and drop his guard, this shield he has when he is in this strange colonial world that he doesnt understand due to how differenr the Mohawks were The actual development of his character is that he stops being so naive and idealistic and understands the ugly reality of the world and people but unlike Haytham he chooses to keep fighting and remain hopeful nontheless. He started out thinking he can just change the world on his own and that the revolution will nake everything alright. By the end when he sees his people having been forced to leave their home he learns the hard way how wrong he was. Fans were not ready for a story with such real elements, thats why they critisized it.But its by far the most real and painful story, thats why its also not as flacy or pleasant as the others. Its not a coinsidence that the story and protagonist gets more and more praise as fans grow older and more mature, its literally like fine wine.
While playing as Ezio, I made a really conscious effort to only use my fists as much as I could when taking down guards who were "just doing their jobs" (e.g., the guards who gave me fair warning for running around on rooftops). It just seemed to be in character for him. Could just be me though LOL!
Honestly. The first time I played the ezio trilogy I was a walking death machine. But after maturing and playing through brotherhood and ac2 a couple more times. I definitely just use my fists and unarmed combat to 1. Be nicer and kinder. But also 2. Give me more of a challenge in open combat.
I was a ruthless killing machine in all my play throughs. I'd go around killing guards and innocents for fun. I'd throw people into water where they'd drown, and when I got to the kill limit I'd punch them or "accidentally" shove them into water while sprinting. I'd throw archers off rooves and make sure they know they're about to die, I'd almost always kill pickpockets and Borgia messengers, if guards surrendered and begged for mercy or ran away I chased them down and killed them anyway. Then in revelations I'd use bombs and see how many people I can get away with killing without being desynced. Killing was so much fun
I didn’t think other people would play like that too 😂 when I play as Bayek I just use sleep darts and my fists to knock people out. Once I’ve been discovered though, I’ll use weapons. If I’ve been discovered but have already completed my mission, I’ll smoke bomb and flee.
I love Bayek so much and see myself replaying Origins many times through the years thanks to him. As you mentioned, as a Medjay he's pledged to help the people of Egypt and does so all the time, but specifically you see his love and kindness any time he speaks to a child; it melts my heart because it you know every child reminds him of the son he lost. His heart rending screaming Shadya lives rent free in my brain...
Gotta go with Conner hands down. Despite everything he went thru and endured, he continuously opened his home, his livelyhood and even his life to complete strangers. Good vid
It's Bayek by a wide margin, Aivor being his closest competitor. As pointed out he's a Medjay so anyone who sees the badge treats him like a hero and he holds himself to that standard. In Siwa it's even more pronounced, kids look up to him, he freely offers his time to run errands for the elderly and the town healer. Anyone foolish enough to try to exploit Siwa got dealt with, he was basically Captain Egypt.
He basically was captain Egypt 😂 That’s basically what made me choose him over Connor. Connor and him are similar in the way they help, but the scale at which Bayek did it is so much greater. Also, it just feels like helping others is a primary function of Bayek, just as much as being the first Hidden One.
Bayek was predominantly kind of everyone who didn't hurt his family. Ezio killed innocents in Cappadocia and was essentially a walking war crime in Revelations. The only ones I could ever consider for this category would be Bayek, Evie, and Connor
Evie in the second mission of syndicate, when she sees an innocent man about to be killed. "What a pity. But no diversions from the mission." Nice? Evie? What planet are you on.
Bayek and Connor are both similar in the sense that they can extremely ruthless and tenacious when it comes to achieving their goals but in reality have an extremely kind heart forces into hiding.
I agree with you about Ezio. He went through so much in his life but he still tried to be good to others even enemies at times when he saw that they were suffering. And his bond with Yusuf was special for Revelations. It honestly warms my heart when I see Ezio in his trilogy. I've also read the first book of his trilogy too so I may be a little bias. But Ezio is someone I could see being friends with and knowing that I would be safe. Also his friendship with Leonardo was amazing to see throughout his games as well.
I don’t really Ezio the kindest of the three. To say the kindest of assassins is that they must show kindness ABOVE what normal assassins do. Ezio just.. helps a lot of people? Just like many other assassins have. He certainly doesn’t damage most lives unless you consider him not choosing to kill Borgia. Ezio is the most charismatic and socially likable assassin but that doesn’t mean he’s a contender for kindness. If anything it’s Connor and Bayek. Connor’s naivety and innocence stems from a goodwill nature he has, he believes strictly morally good, and, most importantly, he’s like an emotional philosopher whenever you hear him talk. Personally, the thing you said about him being ruthless if you are on his bad side really doesn’t check out. It’s not like any of these assassins haven’t killed people or haven’t had anyone killed because of them. But Connor and Bayek are the most people’s persons here. And for that I’d say it’s hard to argue only on their behalfs as to who is kinder. My money is personally on Connor since Bayek is a bit more of a vengeful person than Connor is.
Connor for sure. He gave others a home at the homestead when they had nowhere else to go. Did I mention playing bocce with George Washington, despite their complicated friendship?
One of the kinds of side content in Syndicate is freeing children from workhouses, and Jacob immediately calls off his alliance with Maxwell Roth upon learning children are endangered. He has a sense of kindness to him, he just needs the personal development the game’s timeframe couldn’t afford him to temper his impulsiveness. Edward doesn’t display the racism he might have given the period. He defers to Adewale’s skill and is only the captain because the rest of the crew do have the racism not to accept Adewale as captain. His whole motivation for becoming a privateer is to afford to put and keep Caroline in the manner he believes she should be in, rather than on a farm. Even his selfishness has kind motives, even if the way he acts on them costs him the woman he did it all for. A minor example is that he respects his daughter Jennifer in her decision to keep her mother’s name, so that she’s Jennifer Scott and not Kenway.
I think bayek is the kindest. I actually just finished the game today, yeah I know I’m very late. But the side quests, that part at the end where bayek guides the kid home and even holds his hand, and how he treated shadya just make me thinks he’s the kindest. That ending kinda sucked in my opinion because bayek basically has no one left besides his assassins.
Seong Mi-Na: “Cool style for an Assassin. Just who are you?” Ezio: “Only the most interesting man you ever met.” Seong Mi-Na: 😆 “Oh please.” Note: Seong Mi-Na is from Soul Calibur, and Ezio was a guest character in one of the games.
My answer will be Connor. Ezio may be the most likeable? But the thing is you cannot mistake Kindness for *Charisma,* Yes, he brought armies of the overlooked people to bear against his enemies, but mainly? Hes highly manipulative, and will usually do deeds for them just to get their support, kindness would be to simply do for the people and not expect anything in return. Now that doesnt mean he isnt kind, he's only kind to a fault. Connor understands a more respectable view, he is living in a time where natives are mainly despised upon, seen as murderous savages. Yet despite all that, he still provided for his fellow neighbor, of course threaten his friends lives and he'll instantly feed you your blood, but he shows kindness in what he does for a lot of the game, even when hunting he shows a great appreciation and respect for the game he has taken.
@Toxic Madman maybe i'm biased as i've played Rogue before Ac3 so i got to know Connor as someone who killed a person close to my fav protagonist Shay . I meant no disrespect towards Connor's fans :)
@@ilonafaint I mean tbf shay did kill Arno’s Dad. It’s understandable for his cause but bro really when out like that. I do think Connor is naturally kind hearted but takes the anger he’s bolstered and let’s it rain on those deserving. He also breaks the mold for assassins in a way
@@ilonafainti know it's late but haytham kind of coerced connor into killing him.try to remember the scene before the kill.connor was saying smth like "surrender and i will spare your life".then haytham pinned him down keeping his hidden blade arm open so that he gets killed because he could neither get himself together to kill his son nor join connor against the templars.in a way,he killed himself.however, even if we say connor killed him in impulse i wish he showed more repentance and wishing he didn’t need to do that.imo, the writing to ac 3 is really poor which affects connor's character writing vastly.both connor and shay are my favorites but their games did them dirty.
I completely agree that these three are the kindest assassins. But somehow, I would put Bayek in front of Ezio. It is a very close one for me as well, but the way Bayek plays with kids and amd that he puts himself in all kinds of dangers to help just random people is really kind. But As I said, Ezio is very close behind Bayek for me. I think he's a really respectful guy, even with his enemies, but he doesn't really do any side quests. So, for me, Bayek is a tiny bit ahead of Ezio in kindness.
At some point we have to exclude Ezio from these rankings because of fans and favoritism. He has good qualities, but because everyone is blinded by nostalgia he is ALWAYS top 3. Connor doesn't get as much love, nor does Edward. It's always gonna be a an italian man with a silver tounge.
You can argue the connor is the sweetest because he's a one man trying to make a whole nation free. He failed to protect his mother. Failed to protect his best friend. Failed to turn his father. And all of those who he aided turned their backs away and yet he never gave up hope on the nation one day becoming free.
It's literally shown on Ac2 trailer, that Ezio never kills if it's not necessary, when he knocked down the solder he just kinda smiled and go for the Templar man.
I think it’s Bayek. I believe Ezio is more charismatic than kind and that he is very good to his friends and family, but doesn’t go out of his way to help random innocent people the way Connor and Bayek do.
I know he isn't on this list because he's a Templar, but honestly I'd say Shay is the kindest protagonist. The only character so far whose motivation doesn't include revenge or following the creed he was born into, but instead killing his friends to save innocents. Not to mention the side quests, rescuing occupied settlements during the war and the renovations he does with his own money, despite the templars not needing the resources they bring. Even convincing Haythem to spare Achilles despite his betrayal, again to ensure no one went after the boxes again, but also because he truly believed in mercy when possible.
After he defeats Kawab in the hidden ones DLC, you go next to him and you just sit in silence. Taking in the desert and the moment in with him. The way he deals with people not associated with his son's death is one of the most heartwarming things to witness.
I would have Connor as a close friend because who wouldn't want an unstoppable killing machine as a close friend? Connor's persistence and ruthlessness comes from his burning desire to save his village. Only to fail to do so. When you're Connor's friend you have the most compassionate lad to ever grace the Colonies, if you're his enemy though...uh....you hear doom music if he's nearby
I have to give it to Connor, if you play the homestead missions there’s so many examples of him helping people in need, and even in the main storyline the fact that he didn’t scalp George Washington after finding out he’s the one responsible for his mothers death shows a lot of restraint and his capacity for forgiveness. Not to mention he didn’t immediately jump to killing all Templar’s, in the beginning he tried to deal with them without killing them. He also still treated his enemy’s with respect, after you assassinate Thomas Hickey he stops General Pucman from kicking his corpse.
Adewale was the kindest in my opinion. I realize non-core characters weren't considered though. But he literally helped break people out of slavery and took time (years) out of his "mission" to do so.
I agree tbh. I was gonna say something but you can’t really even argue about that. Adewale wanted to follow the tenants of his creed through and seeing things like this would leave on uneasy or incomplete
I’m a Connor Girl, but I also love Ezio. He was the one that pulled me in and fell in love with the games. But I also love and appreciate Connor who is under appreciated…. Tie!
He killed Haytham event hough Haytham had no intention of killing him, if he wanted to kill him he would have from the very beginning, Haytham loved more Connor then Connor loved him, even though they had only met for a few months
I grew up playing ac 3 so I might be a little bit biased, but Connor always seemed like a father figure to me, like he would be a great dad and even if not a dad just a friend in general, or maybe a brother or something so I would say Connor personally
I'm conflicted between Ezio and Bayek. Ezio also talked a woman out of su1cide in brotherhood cos her husband was unfaithful or something like that, he helps out his mother and sister with different jobs, he helps with paying for renovations, kills slave masters, he beats up unfaithful husbands and spared Rodrigo. But with Bayek the way he interacts with people and children shows how much he genuinely cares for their wellbeing. There's a tonne of side quests where he simply helps people, like loading wheat into a cart, killing brutal tax collectors, finding lost people or retrieving stolen goods etc. He actually plays with the children and is nice to them, like the priests children who played hide and seek with him. He goes out of his way to help people even if it's dangerous. He spared the scarabs son and even recruited him into the hidden ones despite kawab trying to kill him. Both are pretty kind despite them both being front runners for being the most dangerous or brutal.
it's definitely between Connor and Ezio, the Homestead missions really show how kind Connor is, but Ezio fixed all of Rome with his own money, helping business and saving people who were at the mercy of the templars, and giving them a chance to fight back by joining him, kindness is in his very nature, specially to women
I would've said Connor because he became an Assassin to protect his village, plus, in Revelations Ezio got some innocent people killed in 2 situations, it wasn't intentional but still
Don’t forget Cappadocia, setting fire in a city enclosed in a cavern. When he’s on one of his last missions as an Assassin. That’s not exactly kindness when smoke inhalation is a possibility.
The Problem Is Ezio Had 3 Games The Other Assassins Only Had 1 Game So We Didn't See Them Do Anything Else After The Game Is Done What Happened To Them Etc We Followed Ezio From Novice To Master Assassin That Was An Adventure That's What The Players Wanted And Enjoyed Sadly That Is Not The Case Anymore With AC
to me it's connor, the homestead missions did it for me. Ezio is charming yes, and Bayek is also nice, but it was also his job to do good things as Medjay (of course that doesnt take away from his kindness). I jut felt like Connor's Kindness outweighed Bayeks
In the ac 4 novel edward stopped 3 dudes from taking advantage of a drunk girl even though he was drunk and knew he was gonna get his ass beat. Gotta give him props for that.
In the defence of Jacob, he was the first twins to think about fighting the blighters opression and create the rooks that actively fight against worker and child exploitation, and go in first line to fight the gang opression. He is also showned as a more kind and comprehensive person in Jack the riper DLC. But anyway, Connor is kinder to me.
I would say the kindest assassins are Bayek and Ezio, both showed great respect and understanding with people in need and especially children while fighting for virtue with the wisdom, might and duty Altair showed. Dont forget they are also the most charismatic characters in the series
Don’t forget Connor at just 14 was concerned about the future of his village, even becoming a distraction to him while he was supposed to be foraging and hunting with his friend.
I think Bayek because Ezio is very kind but his goals are for the creed, Connor is very compassionate but his goals are for the rebuilding of the creed and his personal vengeance on LEE but Bayek is a official protector of the people who's goals directly help his people he took an oath to protect plus no matter all the shit he went through still smiles and puts on a happy caring safe face to those in need, including children.
I think Connor is the kindest because out of all of the assassins if you were to randomly go up to him and ask for help with anything, even something that doesn't involve fighting or injustice he would be the most likely to drop what he is doing and help you
Connor is the type of guy that you want as friend because of his kindness, honor and respect but you don't want him as your enemy, the man is a pure menace.
for me its connor because he reminds me so much of charles smith from rdr2. and charles smith is one of the most wholesome characters I know of, and this association makes me find connor the kindest.
Ezio for me. Not because ezio fan boy blabla.. But because, he was robbed, helped Rosa get in safety without knowing her, help merchant and all, he helped and spare life, when Connor, was ruthless with his enemy, ezio wanted revenge, but instead of killing without anymore reason... He spare Rodrigo. Then yeah Cesare and all... But with the DLC of da Vinci dissappear, we see that ezio don't kill, if he doesn't need to do so.
For me, it's shay cormac. I know many won't agree with me, since he killed the Assassins, but he did it because he cared for all those who were killed in the earthquake, not because of his own personal hatred. Even the most evil people have some good in them.
My personal option is connor but for ezios case I'd like to say that he is even kind to the people he kills or at least he respects them enough to say a quote shut their eyes and wish them rest in peace
Ezio bro...Kindest at its peak. He was always even with his enemies and told them.."you have nothing to fear about brother...requires requiescat in pace"
