One more thing. If an item already has a CRIT chance engraved on it and you engrave another one, why would that not work adding to the CRIT chance?

No, you can not have 2x the same engravings, it is not possible to select it in the menu if it is already on the item. So pick one without and engrave a tier 10 crit chance on your own. Double engravings only work with Warrior, Hunter and Assassin engravings to have these on the 1st and on the 4th position, this is the only exception, since the first engraving position is not counted for a double. You can definitely not have 2x Crit Chance on any item, even with different values. If someone has such an item it is from a game copy of version 1.0.6 from a torrent server.

@@ast3663 Depending on your level the engravings on your items, wont be tier 10 and have a much lower value. If you are level 99 already, then why did you click on a level 50 crit chance explanation? The video did not advertise to explain it for a level 99 character.

Never buy weapon upgrades, go and get better gear with higher levels. weapon upgrades are only useful at every first level: 31, 41, 51, 61, etc.. Because then the engravings are increased to the next tier. Sell your unnecessary gear with bad engravigs for money, do not dismantle them.

The video was showing him buying perks at the workshop which didn't seem to have anything to do with crit chance. So I didn't understand that bit either. Am I to understand that the portion of the video at the workshop was unrelated to what he was actually saying at the time other than to simply show the workshop?

Tier ten engravings are at level 91, you only have to upgrade it once to 99, But you can also do it multiple times. Then you get the tier levels matching the current level of the item.

@@Anonymos185 If you overexpend to upgrade that beyond the level you are meant to do it, then of yourse you will waste a lot of your stuff and get broke. The higher ship cost are in place to prevent you from having a fully upgraded ship early. Or below level 70. Its super cheap beyond that level.

At level 99 you will swin in money, if you keep selling your bad epics. You get like 5 million from selling 150 epic items. Dismantling is the worst thing you can do since the resources are only worth half the money than what you get for selling them. And legendaries can be recollected at level 99 in a new game+ for free.. Its almost effortless to upgrade things.

Only the fourth engraving, the one you engrave yourself can be a higher tier than your level allows. The others are tied on your level. As explained in the video.

Your Crit Chance is 55%, the 55% include the 39% already. A long way to go.

The pirate set will have 20% crit chance at max level. The engravings which are already on the item increase with their level. That was said in the video. To get it to 20% earlier you have to fully upgrade it and engrave it on your own on a piece that doesnt have it. Did you not learn anything from watching the video? @@T7PDM No, as I said I bought 10% and 20 % crit engraving and they show 10 and 20 ("learn" from workshop) but after engraving , it only shows 9 tiers, (9% and 18%) on items, I think the current version caps the tiers until level 91 ! In other words, not possible to have a 100% crit build before level 91.

@@T7PDM Hmm, I restarted every time I play, I had that 55 level build last week, played 5 to 6 times already, so 5 to 6 restarts at least, ?I even re-engraving to different bow, bracer bc they have better attributes, but every time I only get 9% and 18%; may be I can switch to the new game plus mode and try to re engrave again ! But don't get me wrong, I am not complaining, with crit build of 93 %, I can take down a well defended fort with new arriving mercenary in 1/8 of the time, and with the legendary weapons I have, I just need to use "hero strike" 2 to 3 times to kill tough leaders/captains/mercenaries, much better than before "running around, dodging and blocking and come in for a few hits, and do it many times". Thats why you dont upgrade your ship until you can afford it with ease, dude. There are 100 things in this game which are more important than your ship. You are just wasting all your money for something you rarely use and dont need. You should not upgrade your gear or upgrade your ship, save all your money and you will have enough. Any purple gear you sell at level 50 gives 2k drachme.

@@T7PDM sorry as I typed this it became a long rant, you don’t have to read nor reply, I just can’t get how weak I am and how long it takes to get strony I just gathered the 5 ostrakas, but still basic a million away from upgrade them to 100%, and seems like I’m at least 100 hours away from even remotely powerful enough to actually enjoy the game - not semi turn base counter and dodge for 10 minutes in every fight and run away like a dog if more than one merc shows up. Normally for a game like this you would think you are about powerful enough if you are getting to the end of the story and base lv cap. I can’t get it, do I really have to put into that much grind for this game, struggling in every battle on my way, just to be remotely powerful? Right now even if I crit the damage is only 20k (lv47 using big horn and all gears towards warrior damage), there’s no way to kill the enemy fast enough before they damage me and void half of my crit chance (and I already adjusted the game to easy). The grind to become powerful seems waaaaay too long for this game, doing repetitive things in repetitive environments Do I need to clear every question marks and side quests in my way? I cleared first few areas but it seems to be totally endless considering the map size so I turned to push story, but the fights are getting harder and harder and way less enjoyable as how weak I am I don’t know. All gear set videos I can find now are for lv99 new game plus which are totally useless for me (how do you people even endure to that point?), except your video here, but it still seems the different between me and others are way too large, and I’m getting weaker as enemies scale up I have plat the Witcher 3 twice and yet I never felt frustrated like this

You should sell the gear, which you dont need, but keep the good epics with the good egravings.

Forgive me, that I do not have the learning of each individual engraving in my video snippets folder. But I hope you got the idea how learning an engraving works.

You need to put one or two more mastery points into it, to get your crit chance at full health to 100%. That is everything you need. The other value is not important.
