Me too! I literally didn't understand half the stuff he said, and the title of the video is "New Players Guide" 💀 I don't understand the engravings and like what weapons/armour to upgrade. Do I upgrade them as I go along? Or do I wait for a good set or weapons and armour and then upgrade them? And how it all ties in with the Abilities. Like I heard it's pointless not a good idea to mix for eg. Assassin damage with some weapon type or something, and that Hunter Ability pair well with Hunter bows. I might be talking nonsense so IDK, this is just how confusing I find it LOL
This is pure, refined, concentrated brilliance. Like gold in the refiner's fire, 24 karat. You new players listen to T7 PDM. The seasoned players learned from him.
@D Abyss Sword damage should be at 140%. Sword damage is more important than Crit damage in most cases, check the math shown in my builds. Anything beyond 800% Crit damage can not be an optimal warrior build. Sacrificing damage with swords for more crit damage is reducing your damage. Most likely you have just made a joke with 1000% and I did get it wrong. I hope its not an actual build, then you should optimize it.
Thanks for this T7.....just started my first AC and was trying to level up too fast ,this is just what i needed to watch to understand engravings.....even as a novice your streams are very entertaining
I wish I had watched this when I started, so much time wasted because the game does not tell you anything that actually matters, not even the tool tip and such. THANK YOU so much for this video, it pretty much covered everything I was curious about and could not find a clear answer with google, reddit etc. T7 PDM you make this game fun!
It is an extremely beginner friendly new player guide, that explains the game. Use captions if you want to read it. If you dont understand this video you should not play video games.
I'm watching a lot of your videos, because I reach level 62 and yes I manage to fight and play +- the game but I don't fully understand the engravings and I see you put almost 100% indestructible and I put (the best daggers, best swords, best ...ever thing) at least is what I think and I struggle a little bit when I'm fighting against a boss, even when is 2 mercenarys!
Just watch the build videos and copy them exactly than you can deal the same damage and play in teh same way! But the best build in the world will not be able to improve your skill, if you are not atleast a decent player. Thank you I love to play Assassin's creed revised under you supervision I like to make my own weapons armor maybe even powers would that be awesome I definitely buy your version But for now I appreciate the awesomeness you give , thank you for your time energy and awesome content T7 PDM
What is the first thing I should do on this list? I'm at level 41 but would really love to upgrade my weapons. Should I do all the crit damage/crit chance challenges first? Thanks in advance.
Wow, damn, silly me, never even noticed the tabs at the top of the engraving screen! :O How handy! :O Well, it's ok though, I do have all my engraving maxed out! Phew, saved! :O :P
The strongest build with the most warrior damage is the one I made directly after the Bighorn bow discovery: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EbTb6Yu6uCQ.html But the Godmode Warrior and Godmode Assassin and Best Hybrid 2020 are probably the best, not directly fulfilling your term "strongest", but they are almost invincible, while being still insanely strong.
This is great. I do not know if there are some videos around about this topic though: what are the best builds at low levels: for example 10, 20, 30 would be nice. Also it seems that my favorite assassin build is totally worthless in conquest battles so I have respecced to hunter damage for that, but I would like to know if there are some viable low level melee builds for conquest battles. Much of the content everywhere is either for very high level (which is understandable at this stage of the game) or they are just badly aged/false from the launch of the game.
I made a lvl 55 Hyper Warrior build with 100% Crit chance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-37P2BW9eOOg.html And a lvl 55 Hyper Assassin with 100% Crit chance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Jb7T31YOBNE.html Everything is listed on the channel page, just go there and you will find everything.
@@T7PDM Thank you. I only got to level 23 so far, but I could adopt stuff from the builds and gear selection principles. Adding the Bighorn bow to the mix I am suddenly doing a lot more melee damage than I was doing before. Soon I will start working on those Ostrakas to increase crit chance and damage.
Hello T7. Did you notice that "+25% CC with charged heavy attack ability" doesn't work? I've just tested it, made a build with 80% crit chance and engraved "+25% CC with charged heavy attack" which supposedly has to make it up to 105% CC. But it is NOT critting! I guess it doesnt ads up directly. Probably it is smth like "80% + (100%-80%) * 0.25" but not "80% + 25%". Gosh, I'm so disappointed, I've just bought this spear from helix store for 150 H with discount
What a fail by the game designers with regards to legendary sets. I realized relatively early that epic sets were better than legendary by counting the number of engravings. I just needed P7 to show me how to engrave efficiently and which were the best engravings
I think it was intended, the fail is rather that legendary gear should have 4 engravings aswell, like the Northern traveler set. But still epic items with better engravings would remain better. A complete custom build with random gear will always beat fixed rolls.
@@T7PDM I think that is why AC is going back to unique items in Valhalla. I honestly think it is a step back, and I know I will not enjoy Valhalla as much. I think it will be more like Origins than Odyssey, and I prefer Odyssey by far.
@@l00d3r Sadly Origins was a one and done game. There was no intention to do it again and improve your character. What gave them the microtransactions were the gear system in Odyssey. Not so for Origins. We will see how that is working in Valhalla.
I just over-wrote the Northern Traveler set bonus with a different engraving, on one of it`s pieces...Comparing to the same epic piece - it`s now better , even thou it`s Legendary...How do you explain that?
1. The northern travelers set is the only set with 4 engraving slots in the game. It was the latest added, and probably done by different developers. 2. The set has a lot of really trash engravings in it, for every slot you gain, you either get 10% all damage or an adrenalin engraving. 3. If you have an epic item with the same engravings, then this epic item must be bad aswell, since you shouldnt use "all damage" or "adrenalin" engravings anyway. Of course you need to compare it to one with BETTER engravings, like 100% crit damage. The Northern travelers set is not a good set at all, by using perfect epic pieces you can get over 200% crit damage more than with the legendary set, and the setbonus is still using the 50% not 15%, when you engrave it on epic gear. Check the epic build I made with it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gPSyE3q4NN4.html PS: The armor value is an unimprotant stat.
Yes, if it is fully upgraded to 20% and not on second or third position, you can do that on any item. But on weapons there are a lot better options. It is only viable to use it on certain gear pieces.
Thanks, but I'm still a bit unclear about elemental stuff, like, in general. Do you have any videos explaining that stuff in more detail? I tried searching through your videos.
@@T7PDM You said: There are 2 ways to deal elemental damage. One way is to deal damage over time. Me: Ok, but how do I deal damage over time? You said: The other way is when you simply use your elemental damage on impact damage. Me: Ok, so how do I do that? Like I said, I'm unclear about elemental stuff in general. New to the game.... Do you have a video that explains the basics of elemental stuff? I've tried searching but all I can find are videos about elemental builds.
Nope. Engravings are for Certain pieces of gear. Engravings usually good for 2 to 3 pieces but some are only 1 piece. For example isu enhanced only for head gear.
When you see the damage numbers, is that how much damage you deal to that persons health pool, or is it the damage done in general. For example, when I overrun mercenaries I deal over a million damage, compared to regular soldiers for which I do around two hundred thousand damage(Normal Mode). Idk, im confused
I have a epic weapon at lvl 20 and when i upgraded to lvl 30. The default engraving stay the same. Why is that? How can I make it to the upgraded states?
@@T7PDM Interesting. I've noticed some items with inconsistent levels between different stats which would be explained by what you're saying. Do you know whether any randomness is involved in deciding which stat gets upgraded at what level or if it follows a fixed pattern?
@@realEchoz Some stats probably upgrade earlier than others, they want to make it look a bit random, but I think it isnt. No need to worry about, really...
T7 PDM dude I know same I don’t dig the map or the whole graphics of the game idk how to describe it’s just weird. I don’t get ac vibes from it although the one thing I did like was that they brought back the guaranteed assassination which for some odd reason they took from odyssey
What make some upset as a newer player to Odyssey comin from origins and seeing this it's much different and I do and do don't like it the one thing I can't stand atm is how they took out animus pulse so u can see all the loot on the ground to make it easier to look everything around u so u didn't miss anything cause ik I miss a good amount off loot cause I don't wanna sit in one spot trying to loot everything when it would be easier to animus pulse it like u could in origins I this is why origins will always be better i hate change man
Animus pulse is still available. It is the ability in the lower right corner in the assassin ability tree, you can get it, if you want. But since all random loot refills after 5 minutes or less, its not needed to focus on looting every single amphora.
This guy really loves math and Odyssey lol. After looking around odyssey has a bad rep. It’s what got me into AC. After playing Ragnarok I wanted that TRUE open world feeling again. A god who can’t climb a rock. Odyssey you can go everywhere! I just put another 100 hours in on top of my original 171 hours. Probably my longest played game. Or too 5. Lots to do.
I just got this game and wow is it different lol Black Flag is the only other AC game I’ve played and this is just a completely different style of game I was so confused
Hey my friend, loving the lvl 22 build!!! I have a question, why do normal assassinations sometimes take adrenaline? I thought a stealth kill would give you adrenaline, especially if they're sleeping!
Just downloaded this game cause it’s on ps plus and it’s my first rpg ever and wow it’s so much to take in. I burned like 8 hours just doing side quests and exploring kephalonia, it’s so immersive. The engravings and upgrades is the most confusing aspect of the game for me but hopefully I get the hang of it. Nice video! Does anyone else have any tips?
At what level would you recommend to start doing the DLCs in your first game run? I have the season pass and am in my first run but I am currently only at lvl 21.
At level 50 you should start the Atlantis DLC. it gives you a 6x XP boost. Check the level 1 to 99 playthrough plan: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fIk6DrwPPFY.html
T7 I have a question, is Crit. Damage(CHD) increased damage or just a percentage of your damage? For example, with 600% CHD, would the multiplier be (1+6)=7x? 600% increased damage is 7x multiplier. Or does it just deal 600% of your damage?
I play Diablo 3 and for that game the calculation we use for our Crit. multiplier is 1+CHC*CHD I just came back to odyssey after a few years and it surprises me how much I didn't know before and how similar building a character is in both games
There is no 50% critical dmg on any item on my ps4 version only 50% dmg after critical dmg. I have 200h playing on this game right now and lvl 93 and never see that bonus why you tell on your videos.
Did you visit the workshop to learn more? I think you start with like 10% crit damage but you have to hephaestus workshop to learn (pay) the rest of them. I think that's what I did... not sure can't remember I have way to many hours in this game around 360 or so...
Solve your Ostraka and egraving challenges, as explained in this video, dude. You must have played 200 hours blindfolded then, it looks like you know nothing about the game, dude.
Its translate error. In my polish version i have the same translate: 50% to dmg after critical hit when it should be 50% crit dmg. Check your stat page.
You dont farm it, you either buy it, or wait until the game gives you millions. Check this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-evgc7_sK-xM.html
If u have the atlantis dlc u can get a special engraving from the hades boss fight (Crit Chance now affects elemental buildup) and if u make one decent build with 100% crit chance u can set them on fire with one arrow ( same happens with poison). If u dont have the atlantis dlc I think u need around 200% elemental buildup (could be wrong tho)
@@kyu7283 Buildup is not needed at all, you should never use it. Your enemies will die in one or two hits anyway, there is no purpose for damage over time. Elemental damage is applied instantly, Only use fire or poison damage it automatically adds to every hit.
Currently 207 hrs into the game & i am yet to start the Atlantis DLC & maybe 50% of those question mark locations. Enjoyed it so far but i think will take a break before i burn out xD
I’m still a fuckin lv45 after 20Hrs in the game. Ugh this game is so fuckin frustrating with the lvlin system this slow I feel like they should’ve made the lvlin faster I can’t even do the mythical creatures yet I have to be level 50. And did I add my sets so trash I can barely one hit an enemy whos 2 or even 3 levels below me it’s disrespectful
Dude, you played half the game in 20 hours. This is not a rush game. Enjoy it. BTW: You can beat the creatures at considerably lower level except maybe for Medusa. You are playing it at lightspeed and still complaining. I totally dont understand you.
T7 PDM oh ye lmao when I first got the game I wanted to be like u ya know one shot enemies that’s my type of fun not like chippin bosses bit by bit it just not fun for me I hate being challenged I like being the god of every game to obliterate all enemies so I wanted to finish the main story ASAP and I did I just want to hit lv99 them make ur builds cuz it’s great
@@isleepunderthebed4514 I started on "Easy" difficulty and that helped reduce frustration. I increased the difficulty to Normal then Hard only when I wanted more challenge. Nightmare difficulty is for Zeus and T7 PDM to use.
