I would like to see the wild ponies, so I guess Nat'l is where I would need to be. One of the Nat'l Parks near me is not open now, hopefully all that will change by next year. I wish sooner, but it does not look like that. So, does a Nat'l Park pass cover the camping fees? Thanks for the quick tour, liked and subscribed.
Great information thank you for sharing, so just to confirm, are you sure we can use the National park pass here at Assateage National seashore park? I was going to purchase the pass and asked REI and they said we couldn’t use it here. Thank you.
You can use the pass at the National Park. Not the state park. The state park is first, smaller and has life guards. The national park is further down the road and is huge. The national park pass will work since it is a national park. Hope that helps!

I’m not sure if you are referring to the limited facilities at the national park. They have been very basic for a long time. I believe it is just the type of camping experience they offer. There is actually a third camping option on assateague. You have to walk a few miles (or more) into a campsite. Campers must carry in their own water. Some people like to rough it. I prefer a flushing toilet. 😂
