Our stroker 2.3 Sonata (G4JP) block is almost fully assembled. The direction we took was to install as much as the Evo 4 engine as we could. That ended up being the Lancer Evo 4 (CN9A) head, turbo, intake manifold, and thermostat housing. Complications ensue. Hopefully we get the engine running soon.

In Saudi Arabia, the Galant 03-06 has a 4g63 Sohc engine, but the oil pump gear looks similar to a 4g63t Dohc! You can see it by searching for 4g43 sohc timing

I have a sonata 1997 2000 cc Can i use a mitsubishi 4g63 engine instead of hyundai g4jp engine ??? I mean without editing mounts or other parts cause it so difficult nowadays. Please we are waiting your

Assuming you are just replacing an existing G4JP engine in your car with a 4G63. yeah should work . as long as you get the correct generation 4G63 that works

Can i just using the original g4jp head and intake manifold but with modification like port & polish, and be able to install the turbo?

@@kuholgarage is the stock g4jp cooling system, enough to maintain a safe temperature when installing the turbo? is it necessary to use a cooling system from 4g63?

@@mr.eervianlesmana9263 depends on your climate, existing radiator size and condition, usage situation, power goals, etc if your stock radiator will still be enough. Try it out first, can always make radiator bigger or thicker later, or if you need more cooling fans.

@@mr.eervianlesmana9263 I cannot answer that. As you can see, our engine has forged internals with lower compression pistons. But fitting Evo 5-9 OEM pistons should allow you your 350hp goal
