Awesome. So glad I ordered plug and play. Even so. That build would be easier since it’s all cut out and explained. That wee bit that you played was it with or without amp. Thank You Josh very much. You look very excited.

My suggestion if you're going to get a DIY kit is to borrow a cordless Torque Screwdriver Wrench (or buy one for around $35). For those not familiar, you can set the "tension" and when it it's that tension it stops screwing. With a handful of drill bits for your hardware and the proper setting (which is easy to set) each bolt, pin, screw will average less than 10 seconds each, to tightly secure. Because the torque on the screwdriver is fixed "screw" goes in perfectly without the risk of over or under tightening. A torque screwdriver will reduce the overall build time from 3 days to probably less than 3 hours.

Thank you! I am going through the same process. I am on my third day now. I should add that I have had my own harpbuilding business so I am not a novice. There are a couple of places on the harp-e video that probably would need further explanation, and pictures from another angle. One of the spacers was missing. Some of the holes for the tuning pins are too big and I am already envisioning the pins going round and round to no avail...I am tackling the stringing-up today. Wish me luck! Dear Josh, thanks for video. I have a question. Did you try to change from stand to belt for playing. We are just putting together the E harp and wonder how it should work, if the harp is completely mounted.

I assembled a Harp-E and then sold it a couple weeks later. I appreciate what Joris Beets is trying to do, but I thought he'd cut too many corners with the design. First off, I hated the levers: big, clunky and a pain to use. Secondly, the upside-down stringing was annoying. Thirdly, using hex bolts for tuning and regulation is a bad idea as hex bolts wear with time. Fourthly, the pickup is just way too sensitive to bumps and knocks. So, kudos to Joris for bringing a cheaper electric harp to the market, but it could have been so much better.

Wish there were videos where we can actually hear what it sounds like with and without amp. I didn't find any, other than when he plays with an ensemble. I would like your comment on how the high pitch stings sound.
