I have the 48" model. I didn't receive the spring alignment wires(part 10). Has this part been eliminated for newer models?

You forgot the most important final step. Attach the dethatcher to your lawn tractor on a level surface. Adjust it so that all the spikes in both rows touch the floor then tighten the screws in the rear high angle brackets to hold it in place. Just bought the 40 inch, will let you know how it works.

My kid was missing two nuts and one bolt. Annoying! Thanks for the instructions
