Yes, I have found these Chinese pellets can keep up with the best from JSB have to offer, but it's down to the barrel liking them at the end of the day.
I bought a tin to try. Straight out of the tin and only 6 sighters, I shot 98.7 25 yard benchrest from my BSA Scorpion TS. Single hole groups 2 clicks lower than my favourite BSA Goldstars. These are without doubt the best pellets I've shot in many years.
I'm not a fan of music playing on hunting, shooting and generally informative videos, but, I think the Oriental music you've added to this video is brilliant.👍🥰
People were using these last time we came out of the first lockdown Mark, and some of the lads swear by them , not bought or tried any yet , cheers shaneweightman
That was a great review and test Mark, and interesting, by they are a bit steep on price dont you think, geeeez, any thanks again for great video, and very helpful, Cheers
I have watched a few of your videos Mark , thanks for the content . Watching this today i noticed that you are putting quite an angle on the rifle when taking a shot through the chronograph something others have noticed when i am doing the same , its dificult to estimate i know and i thought next time i do the same i might use an elastic band to fix a bubble level to the barrel just to give me some idea 😊
I thought I was shooting straight through my old chrono and was getting 11.5flb with QYS streamlined. I then shot using an FX chrono and was getting 12flb. It is new shooting safely in the mid 11's but as you pointed out, Mark was shooting at a very steep angle.
Excellent review / test you done there ... tested them quang yang pellets a month ago ..firstly in my R10 , probably the most fussy rifle I own ... specially jsbs ( in any guise ) .. and they were ( as I expected ) AWEFUL , lets say the best group over 30yrds was top of an egg cup size , just , ...YES it was breezy , where my range is situated there is ALWAYS some sort of breeze ..even in still days ... nonetheless , I wernt surprised at the result ... NEXT ..I run them through the brocock bantam sniper hr .. with I must say , better results ( I may add , the brocock is without doubt the most pellet friendly rifle I own ) with the best group covering " slightly " larger then a penny ... which I though was ok ... the other groups were somthing like old 10p size ..but I recon with a barrel clean and a less breezy day I may be able too get penny piece groups ... havent as of yet tried them in the goldstar se ..or ...the MK4 .. but both of these with FX own pellets ( jsb ) are amazingly ( if not boringly ) accurate .. and therefore I recon the ting tangs would be no better ...BUT .. @ £16.99 a tin ( £9.99 from weston park country show ) I use them sparingly .. and I'll wait till NEC in feb too get some more ... will re-test ( maybe today as its quite still now ) ting tangs ...see if I can emulate YOUR results ... god ..im waffling again ..
Some interesting points Mark. I know that some rifle barrels are pellet fussy. I have had some. It does make you wonder if its the cold hammer forged barrel over the walther that it doesn't get on with, or maybe the twist rate can make a difference. It is good to know though that it doesn't suit every barrel. I will ask some of our members at the club to try them through there's. In fact Phillip Sharpe below owns a Ratworks tuned R10. He will have to see how they perform through his. Strangely enough my Webley LiteW8 would only shoot with Air Arms Diabolo Field before it was regulated at the Ratworks by Phil Crampton, but since it was done it seems to shoot most pellets without any problems and I now have a choice of at least five that I can rely on to group within a 5p piece at 30 when conditions are right.
You will have to let me know how the magazine is working. Is it the 2 shot? I have the Air Arms multi shot conversion kit fitted, so it doesn't make sense for me to change it, unless I was doing HFT where you have to unload between stages.
Ps , I will only ever use alloy pellets when I have no choice ,not keen on the idea of shooting aluminium, it doesn’t have the same material properties of lead , sick of all this going green crap ,,
Hi mark this message is a few years on from this video. But have you tried the QYS 9.56gr in 177? I tested 6 lots of different pellets gr and found them to be more consistent and get more ft/lbs. But I don't have the range to check the accuracy.
When I was a kid my dad earned £9 a week in the fire brigade. I'm paying nearly £10 for a tin of German pellets. I'm going to give the Chinese a go if they are cheaper. Producing a pellet isn't bloody rocket science.
I think its a small fire bell. The cardboard target was sat on a bell target which was designed by one of our members. It just happend that the centre of the target was in the right position. It's a flat metal plate with a small 8mm hole drilled in it, with the bell bolted onto the rear.
Barracudas are shite. I got them for my hw95 and tested them against my air arms diablos. The diablos smashed em. I brought the barracudas cos they ain't leads and someone online said they kicked ass. They was wrong lol. Im waiting on these qys ones cos I've heard the hw barrels like them. Hoping they will be tighter than the diablos I can get 1p grouping with the diablos at 20 yards. Not the best but I'm hoping these qys ones will tighten em off. If I shot my barracuders at that range there would be a foot spread they're crap.
