So a few of you will have noticed the expansion of the HD Connect in Huddersfield and the new HX Connect buses appearing in Halifax with First West Yorkshire...well in this video I explain the new brands, the buses that so far have been repainted and what the plan is with it!

First Glasgow still have plaxton presidents and ALX400s in service but only a handful of both types of buses remain in use and as I know are coming of at the end of the year

@@AndMoreCentral aye first Glasgow now starting to get rid of their Volvo solars 69115 was on loan to first Scotland in February it’s still in the 9 pink branded so was strange seeing a simplicity branded bus on the X24 to Livingston and a few older E400s were on loan plus 2 E400mmc and some streetlights due to the native first Scotland east streetlights undergoing upgrades to euro 6

A massive congratulations to First for the refurb on 69564. It looks like that bus won't be compliant to Bradford's Clean Air Zone which maybe introduced in Spring. To my knowledge it didn't get an engine emissions upgrade unless somebody knows different.

Aye the refurbs are nice though the bus isn't allocated to the X63 Bradford route so the clean air zone there shouldn't effect it unless misallocated

Next OMSI video can you do Westcountry route 35 in the B8RLE? I just did it and it is probably the best combination you could wish for!

69580 was painted for HX Connect and it was the first single de K to be a long time ago. 66780 is in the paintshop

They are painting buses as old as '54' plate into the livery now

I saw 37691, 37693, 37694 heading towards the M62 today I believed to the paint shop ans 37687 is being interiors refurbishment

@@ChilternTransportProductions I don’t know. I don’t live in Huddersfield. I do visit though. There are plenty and some of them have been repainted with a Blue front for the HD Connect services so they aren’t going anytime soon.

@@transportationuk7656 At least we know some won’t go just yet, that’s a start 🤷🏻‍♂️ I don’t know anything about that area other than what I’ve already seen on this channel and maybe the odd bit from Deano, so you’re one up on me on that front

@@ChilternTransportProductions A livery change is a sure sign that those buses who have them aren’t going anytime soon. Hopefully when I go to London on my Birthday which is Monday 11th April I will be able to catch the VBL/DB220 Gemini Eclipse 1s before they get scrapped(or sent to Powell’s which I’d love as I live in Sheffield.

37690 has been repainted and also has a refurb since. Or it had a repaint since its refurb 😂

Refurb since repaint though it can get confusing aha. 90 was first bus to the painted into the HX Connect, actually entered service with 'HX Connect' namings in the HD connect lighter tone of blue!
