VRinMotion good on you man! True, life catches up on all of us. Yep, I use shadowplay because it’s so easy 👍 will keep tinkering & try to get it right. I feel like it’s because I’ve reduced the resolution to 85% in the video settings...

VRinMotion, have you tried attaching the Valve Index Base Station to a movable platform? In theory, this should exclude your movements in the virtual cockpit.

you able to get a consistent 120fps on this bad boy? I preordered the g2 as my first vr headset, i may eventually get an index, i'm not sure yet, I'll just have to test around and such. I'd love to have a headset with higher refresh rate so I'm kinda torn between the too, granted the price tag is a lot more friendly with the g2 lol. I've just recently gotten into sim racing along with ACC. I've heard some terrible things about ACC in VR which has made me so sad since that's the main sim game i'm playing right now. Are you able to get it to run pretty well though?? *fingers crossed*

The deferred rendering method used by ACC makes it impossible for any current GPU to get 90fps/ Hz in all conditions. I have a 3900X/ 2080Ti and on VR Epic settings with the Index set to only 80Hz, there's still some motion smoothing at night or in the rain when a lot of cars are visible. If you don't mind reducing some settings, then you can have a good time in the game, but sadly nothing like as smooth as Project Cars 2 or the original AC. Automobilista 2 is apparently very good though - more realism than Project Cars 2 and better VR experience than ACC.

i tried everything over the last couple months.. forget about ACC and VR at the moment. don't get me wrong but not everyone runs a 2080ti. eventhough i'd love to race ACC with my vr headset. we have to stay patient. maybe one day ;)

It really depends in my opinion. It depends on your system, the weather and the time of day. If ACC was little better optimized, it would be the best looking sim out there in VR. Ams2 looks great, but the engine does some visual things I never really liked, going back to pc2.

I’m thinking about getting a VR headset.. ACC looks great on your channel, but I’m reading a lot of complaints about VR and ACC not working so great. Would you recommend anyone getting VR for ACC, or should I wait a bit? Also, what VR headset would you recommend? Btw not looking to spend $900 on a VR headset, or anything I’m new to this VR stuff.. thanks

I have an Oculus Rift S and i find it works nice for ACC. $300 for that headset

@@Turbyo yeah, I got it and returned it ... you have to lower all the graphic settings and lower the amount of cars on the grid just to make it look half decent

are you running it at 120fps with motion smoothing so it runs 60?

Yes, for recording purposes. It appears much smoother on screen. I usually race at 144hz with smoothing on and 90fps native while hot-lapping

@@TheFlysly54 same here ;) it makes sense since it's dividable by 60. For me 144 with smoothing works too, but it's really the limit (also a 2080ti with a Ryzen 3700)

I dont plan on it. I like having more FOV and the ability to choose the refresh rate. Also, inside-out tracking doesnt really work all that well with a motion rig.

@@antirelax I had the pimax 5k+, and I sold it to get the index. The FOV was great, but that headset had/has a lot of issues. Distortion, build quality, comfort, weight distribution, just to name a few.
