Everyone's commenting on how good this looks, and it does look good, but what gets me is how authentic the audio is. It's probably one of the best sounding games racing games I've heard.
Damn. The stuttering POV and insane sound effect actually makes it feel scary and gave me the chills. Only game that came close to this feeling was Battlefield 3 in the F18 carrier launch scene.
If were wondering about the transmission noise, it's because most racing cars use spur gears in the transmission, whereas road cars use helical gears. If you've ever noticed that cars make more noise driving in reverse (especially when going a little faster), it's because most cars use spur gears for the reverse gear, since it is typically used at low speeds and doesn't need to be as quiet
Damn this thing really looks crazy, the rain is so heavy we can't see jack shit specially staying behind other cars water streams, it reminds me in real life with heavy rain at night and I have to go at super low speed on the mountains because I can't exacly see jack shit in front :)
@@kodax1292 jack shit - basically putting emphasis on whatever was told before. For example if you can't see jack shit, you can see barely anything, if anything at all.
Thanks for the comments and support, it's greatly appreciated!! There are so many comments and questions and I can only get to so many. Please refer to the video description for system hardware info. I will make another video showing my visual settings in steamVR and game. I have a tendency to change things frequently when it comes to visuals, but I will show the most current settings. Please note, these settings are for the Valve Index and depending on the headset you have, results may vary. Thanks again! And yes, I would strongly suggest giving this title a try if you haven't already :-) Visual settings video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cLhKTs4lmBg.html
on the screen yes but looks completely different in VR i have the Index and it does not look like this, this is how it would look on your monitor no in VR
I have played Asseto Corsa on my HTC Vive last year, it's surreal . You get a great sense of speed and anxiety which doesn't translate well when viewing on a 2D monitor
HP reverb has better graphics. this is miss leading video because of the rain. You cant really tell how good the picture is when 200foot in front is just water spray.
Best rain effects I've seen in my time for sure; they aren't just droplets, they modeled the streams as well and that just makes it look legitimately real. hats off to kunos But I really wish this game had street cars.
Since the last update, I would say it's the most immersive VR sim racing experience to date. It does many things much better than any other title out there. This last update did wonders for optimization.
u did an amazing job to get it running as well as u have ... its a game i watched for along time ... and was meh ... finally got it a while back , and its so polished but at the same time different .. it rocks! im sure u like many others [myself included] ... wait with baited breath for the new 3xxx series of graphic's cards
I love the rtx2080ti what a card. I don't care what anyone says but I'm glad I got one.. and saved up for it it. well worth the money if you are a hardcore gamer!
Hi Redstar! Really cool video, thanks for sharing! I have a question about your set up, more specifically, about the valve index. Do you find that you have to use the basestation sensors to get adequate head tracking in a race sim environment, or can you make do without? Thanks!
@RedStar 602: Your video footage looks so crisp. At which resolution do you have set your screen mirror for recording? Do you use OBS-plugin for recording?
That's interesting. I'm currently in market for a new VR Headset as mine is now super old but when looking at options, the Index being one, the resolution is only slightly higher than my Dell headset. I have to say though, the image quality is so much better. Reverb or Index. 🤷
