Watching you two on Sundays and Wednesdays is my therapy... I'm old, my body isn't what it once was, and there are days when I get down because of that but you two never fail to lift my spirits so thank you for thar.

Garden Tip: don’t plan projects at harvest time. Harvesting food, washing prepping, canning, storing and prepping your garden for next year takes more time than you think 😊.

One thing my wife and I learned in our fifty years together is to never go to bed without saying I love you. Even if that was the only thing we said to each other that day. We always found the next day was going to be find. And like Crystal says we were joined at the hip and did absolutely everything together.

You wouldn't believe how quick 52 minutes 53 seconds went, I could listen to you two for hours. The best thing about having a disagreement is making up, and do it quickly. I loved gardening when I was able, I can't wait to see your garden. Don't forget to grow “runner beans” Lots of love from Mike. ❤❤❤❤ one each for your dogs

Well done on these Podcasts girls. Really love them. Off course you fall out sometimes. You are a normal couple. I loved that you never go to sleep on an argument. My wife and I were together for 30 years before I lost her last year, and kept to this. Also I apologised. Not always my fault but thought it best to do this. I'm sitting here with the model of your cabin that I made, so you are always with me!!

I have been slogging away in my garden for the past week, loving every minute of it and aching from head to toe. This 65 year old body feels everything - but, that’s okay. It is so nice to sit down and watch this podcast. You have made me relax and just enjoy hearing your perspectives. BTW - on occasion, I do go to bed angry and I usually wake up with a better perspective. 😂🤣😂 FYI - one of the best garden channels on RU-vid is Garden Answer. Someone mentioned you shouldn’t make plan during harvest. Such a true statement. So, Jaz, you’ll want to be researching preservation: canning, freezing, drying or root cellar? Start planning now. Also, this was a great one. You two didn’t take long to settle right in to podcasting. I think that there are many reasons for your success. One is that you are authentic and another is you always include your listeners.

What’s really helped me is when my therapist told me anger isn’t an emotion it’s a reaction. And I’ve been learning how to control both emotions and actions.

What about a screen door to help solve your indoor bird and spider problem? It’s not as nice as having an open doorway, but it beats co-habitating with spiders half the size of your hand! I lived with gigantic spiders in my young crazy days and to this day I don’t know how I did it, haha.

I use orange essential oil with a little water in a spray bottle. This keeps the spiders away. I would do the outside perimeter and in closets. ❤

Couples should have arguments to get to know each other properly. Communication is so important. Getting to know each other's strengths and 'weaknesses' is very important. As is meta communication, the art to talk about the way you communicate, as you're doing here. I don't think you realise how wonderful of a relationship you have. The respect is obvious. It’s actually so nice to get to know you two in this different and more in depth way through the podcast. I’ve been watching the vlogs for a few years now but I really enjoy to learn more about how you think and interact talking 😊

Your convos and opinions are truly so down to earth, authentic and accepting of everyone… to just be who you need to be. You two are wise beyond your years and I love seeing you spread your zest and love for life. Your messages are so on point…especially to young people. And especially in today’s world … where just watching the news can bring you down. Instead, I choose to watch crystal and jaz … you two bring me up. ❤️❤️❤️

Pro tip LOL: 1) Put on a screen door for fresh air, 2) Put decals on the windows that you don’t mind looking at; intersperse them on the windows. We do this in NH USA to keep birds from flying into the windows & getting hurt or dying. But, true story: My Mom’s house had a sliding glass door between two rooms. During a family gathering, my niece came running from one room to the other. Oops! The door was closed. Man, she bounced off that door like a basketball & had an egg on her forehead about the size of one too. I felt horrible for her & went to love her up; brought her to her mom, who was one of my sisters. Poor kid. I know I’m going to h*ll l, bc I’m laughing so hard right now remembering the look on her face, that I can barely type this. Ya, so after that we stenciled & cut out apple (represent love) window decals (you can probably buy them) so that wouldn’t happen to anyone else. OMG though, that was too funny thinking about it later & since.😂 PS Please don’t put up window decals of birds so the birds mistake your windows for a place to try to mate. Ouch. But please put on a screen door; at least keep the rats out (& other zoo animals. Haha). BTW, you don’t want to get bats in your attic; they’re great for eating mosquitoes but would be difficult to get out. My great-grandfather used to put a blanket gently over them & release them outdoors. He was a State Biologist after all & they are cute but can carry rabies. Glad you’re having Porter on. Yay! I went Plant Based for 4 years and was never so out of sorts in my life. I had rashes, back pain, arthritic like pain thru my knuckles and knees, I bloated up 40lbs and couldn't sleep. I was tired all the time, had vertigo and sweat profusely. I was a super clean vegan eating only tofu, beans, and quinoa with veg, fruit and loads of water. Didn't eat sweets or chips, no alcohol either. When I went back to eating animal protein everything changed. I lost 40lbs, all my pains ceased, I started sleeping well and all the other yucky things went away. My dietician said my body could not process carbs like other peoples. I now eat gluten free and only meats and green veg. I feel like a million bucks. Plant Based if definitely not for everyone, but good for you all to be able to .

I totally loved this weeks Chat. The reasons to reduce meat intake can be plenty. I like that you are not aggressively preeching vegan lifestyle which often happens, thanks for that. I actively reduce my meat intake and am very picky about which dairy products I buy (local and ecological). I have my own chickens for pest control. they do not give many eggs, my tomato plants struggle this year, but there will be loads of Chilis and BellPeppers probably. You need to hang up wildlife camera traps. I bet there are plenty animals to be seen on your property. Curious for next weeks podcast.

When I watch RU-vid…..it’s either building or gardening. I have learned so much. I have 2-4X16 and 1-4X12 raised beds and some containers. I still have food in the freezer from last year.

There are los of moose in Nova Scotia…they’re on Cape Breton Island 😊

Visited my daughter a month ago for 2 months. She eats a lot of steak, chicken, and pork, which I ate with her except the pork. My husband is a vegetarian since he was 16. I am back to no meat and I must tell you, it is difficult to think of eating meat again now. I will never forget a pig struggling not to be slaughtered. That sound stays with me. Your meals look amazing, too. We do eat cheese, thus dairy, and eggs. BTW, I live rural, and the sound of coyotes are frightening. Also, we feed the deer. 4 apples are cut up every night. Love your energy!

Love gardening

We have a backyard garden. We built a greenhouse in 2020 during the pandemic. We live in Midwest USA. This year it’s been very hot so it hasn’t produced the amount as in the past but we love it. We talk about constantly. This year we had a wild duck 🦆 mallard come and nest in our flower bed. It was amazing watching and waiting for the ducklings to hatch. She only had one hatch. Within 6-8 hours she took the baby to a pond couple blocks a day. We named him/herWalker and his/her mom Thelma. It was amazing.

It is nice to find someone who has the same as I do. I have Colitis and have had it for over 10 years now and what I find is that the biggest thing for me that causes it to trigger is stress, but what I eat can contribute a bit to it. It is not what causes it though. I think the biggest thing for me is stress and none of us of any of that now do we. Yes, we do. I have been told that I should pursue a higher-paying job where I work and I have decided no not really interested as I like what I do for a living. Plus I have 5 years left then I retire. When I retire I am pursuing a side hustle with Blogging, so doing something I am passionate about. Some mornings are good and others well cannot really leave my bathroom or very far from it. 5 years is not that far then I will be retired and have no stress from work, which is the biggest thing that sets my colitis off. It is nice to know the struggles that someone else has with this painful illness. I have found that those around me mean well, but they do not get it. Thanks for sharing is make my day and I do enjoy watching you guys it is nice to have some encouragement, which is what you do with your content.

My sons ADHD classroom the teacher was awesome. She didn’t have a set schedule. If the kids were bouncing when they got to school she would go outside first. If they were chill then they would do desk time. It was the best grade he was ever in.

I only just saw this and am now subscribed. That it is 3 weeks old, you may never see this. However, I feel a bit like Michael Billington. You make me smile and sometimes, literally, laugh out loud. I am hoping to hear that you have not been impacted by the fires.
