Unfortunately you are right, we live in different times now, many Assyrians/Christians are scattered all over the world. Before Assyrians were living in their homeland in small villages or whatever but still the majority were not in diaspora so they were able and ready to fight back unlike today, where many don’t even have connection to the homeland.

In fact Assyrians persecuted those who worshiped God (Jewish people) UNTILL Jonah was sent by the lord to the people of Nineveh so they repent. Not every Assyrian is Christian. There are many groups that prioritize the Assyrian ethnicity over the religion. In face many groups (I’ve met and debated with) they don’t even identify as Christians arguing that since the day Assyrian converted to Christianity in Nineveh, everything went downhill from there referring that the empire became weak and ultimately destroyed by the Babylonians and Meds of Persia.

@@ContemporaryMoses01 Jonah was sent before Christianity, and us Assyrians repented then to the G-D of Jonah, so yes we did worship the same G-D before christianity (when Jonah came to us) and after (when Jesus proclaimed the same message). I also believe we should not put religion over our ethnicity. Only because they shouldn't be on the same platform in the first place.

@@MoneerCherie Thank you, just came to realize and if not mistaken the person 5:50 is Qasha Isaac d Beth Soro d Ashitha but in a different time frame, younger then in the picture prior to that + had longer hair. The picture was shared by Newcastle University and it mentions that it is a picture of an Assyrian Priest but doesn’t mention his name. After comparing the face features between the pic 4:17 and 5:50 + another picture of him on Newcastle University I came to realize that they are Identical, obviously it’s tricky but I’m 99% sure that it’s him. if you can provide me with a link for the picture 4:17 with a better Quality I would be glad.
