Another great video! With winter on it's way please could you do a winter tips and tricks/products video. I know other channels have done these videos, I'm interested in hearing how you make detailing in winter that bit more easy/enjoyable👍

@@HarpersCarDetailing Thank you! picked up several tips/tricks from your videos like the elastic band around soft brushes my favourite is using a microfibre after cleaning tyres, I tried it myself it makes a difference when applying dressing as it seems to soak into the tyre more and lasts longer👍

Great as usual. Question : lots of your videos are called "maintenance wash", and you start by removing iron from the wheels everytime. Does it mean that you recommand using iron remover for wheels for every wash (eg once a week) ? Thanx.
@HarpersCarDetailing
@HarpersCarDetailing 2 года назад
You could use the iron remover every month as there would definitely be brake dust, but that might be a bit over kill and also expensive. If you are washing the car every week then maybe use the iron remover once a month 👍🏼

You should try Gyeon Interior Detailer for the gloss black, well on anything on the interior it’s fantastic and will smell much better than glass cleaner.
@HarpersCarDetailing
@HarpersCarDetailing 2 года назад
Thanks, it’s worth a shot. The glass cleaner I use is bubblegum scented, which I’m not keen on but clients seem to like it.

Quality content as usual 🔥🔥🔥 the attention to detail is spot on. 2 questions, how long did this maintenance detail take? And approximately how many cars are you servicing a week?
@HarpersCarDetailing
@HarpersCarDetailing 2 года назад
Thanks 👍🏼 This one only took around 1-1/2 as it wasn’t used much. It really depends. It could be 2-3 cara if doing paint correction or not Or 15-20 valets. Really depends

I'm curious what's your approach on Detailing in hot/direct sunlight? Always look forward to your uploads man 👌🏼.
@mazda_rt24-p
@mazda_rt24-p 2 года назад
never do it because the paint is full of tiny plastic bits that get warm and melt in the sun and can scratch paint
@HarpersCarDetailing
@HarpersCarDetailing 2 года назад
I would try and put the car in the shade. If this isn’t possible I would use filtered water and rinse the car a lot more frequently, to essentially remove chemicals before they have time to dry. 👍🏼

I love your style of videos! Sleek, great dialogue! I just got myself a go pro and I’m going to start making proper videos. How long would you say it takes to edit something like this. I’m guessing a lot of man hours go in to 1 video?

Thanks a lot. Honestly doesn’t take me too long to edit. Only a few hours. My videos are very basic and I want to keep them as natural as possible

Would appreciate your opinion on which you think it best out of Auto Finesse Lavish or Koch Chemie Protector Wax? Thanks
@HarpersCarDetailing
@HarpersCarDetailing 2 года назад
I wouldn’t personally class either as a protection alone and would use them as more of a topper or to aid with drying. Koch Chemie is far more economical as you only need 30ml in a one litre foam bottle, whereas auto finesse say 2-3 inches which is around 60-90ml 👍🏼

Uhhh whatever you’re using to clean those tires isn’t actually removing any of the old tire shine. I’ve noticed that in all of your videos.
@HarpersCarDetailing
@HarpersCarDetailing 2 года назад
10:54 you can see there is no dressing left behind. You can’t have watched all my videos in that case as no maintenance videos I tend to scrub the tyres after with a microfibre which draws more dirt out of the tyres wall

why dont you take the wheels off, when you are clening the wheels and arches.
@HarpersCarDetailing
@HarpersCarDetailing 2 года назад
This is a monthly maintenance wash. Taking the wheels off would be overkill for this service. You can also gain around 90% of the area without removing them

Hi Harpers, nice video. I've noticed that quite a few of the cars seem to have no protection on them when they come to you for cleaning (the lack of beading is my reference), do you find that to be the case? I think I've only seen the odd one that looks to have had a ceramic in the first place? Just found it odd that they go to the trouble of getting someone to regularly clean their car but they don't have a form of protection (wax/sealant/ceramic) on it. Do you find that tend not to do any sort of cleaning at all, e.g. on a nice weekend they might think to put a wax on? For this Aston, do you add something on at the end or is it common for clients to just want the car clean but not really protected? Found it interesting anyway. As a sort of driveway warrior, it got me thinking that perhaps the vast population don't really care about protection and just want a clean car rather than the faf and expense of applying something at the end, or maybe they dont even know about it in the first place!? Have you thought about dropping a line in at the beginning of your videos to say, "its got an existing wax/ceramic that I've applied/nothing protecting it" before cracking on. I think that'll be a good little detail to add. Keep the vids coming, I like watching them and getting tips on how best to do things and good products to use.
@HarpersCarDetailing
@HarpersCarDetailing 2 года назад
Hi! Yea that’s right not all customers have protection on their cars and in all honesty some don’t care as I’m cleaning them regularly anyway, even though that’s no the point of the protection. Some people have a ‘ceramic’ applied at the dealership and it’s sometimes hard to basically tell them that they have thrown their money down the drain. Regardless of what valet/detail, if the paintwork doesn’t have any protection I’ll apply a drying aid to help me dry the car, and it adds a little protection 👍🏼
