Love the looks of this car, hope the next-gen vantage will look like this!! and under £400k, that's a bargain nowadays but why only make 101 examples???
Peeps didn't realised why this extraordinary vantage is gorgeous than regular vantage!! Its those rear wheel arches which gave rear look so sharp and appealing!! Those rear arches and wrap around window concept made this vantage out of the crowd!!
I think this car is unique because it is unique. It's the kind of car you'd buy because all your buddies already have a V12 Vantage I you want to stand out. It's a bit stupid I agree, but lots of people buy cars just for that. It still looks absolutely amazing though.
Dis is my favorite Aston Martin car. (But the pearl blue duz break up d car a bit. I like red though.) This is beautiful and nice review. Looks profesional.
How could they only fit 510 ponies in that thing. V-12 engine and a decently light car I was expecting upwards of about 600-700. Especially with that large of a price tag
Protip: whenever anyone uses the word "character", or even worse "character-filled" or "loaded with character", simply replace those words with "serious flaws" and the sentence suddenly becomes accurate. This car looks awesome, but I am glad I will never own one.
Those bonnet louvres are far more acceptable than the V12 Vantage design. If I was ordering a Vantage I would insist on this style and maybe even colour coded as well. I realise they are functional but they do look naff.
Personally, I never liked the way Zagato styled their cars. This is going to sound harsh, but I think they sometimes ruin car designs. This Aston Martin, while it is elegant, the grill shape and rear light design does not appeal to me. The stitching is wick, and it's not as pretty as the original cosmetics. The DB9 Zagato had a horrendously big grill, the SZ Zagato was cool but not pretty etc. I have to give credit to how unique their designs are though. The Alfa Romeo TZ3 Zagato is quite awesome though. To sum it up, I'd have a V12 Vantage over this, but I guess those seeking a unique design will like this car. I'd choose Bertone over Zagato, they styled the Stratos ;)
But is it any good compared to the competition? This car is supposed to bring more to the table than just style (a regular Aston will score plenty of style points). Yeah you can fuss about the fact it has a carbon-aluminum body but with 4,2 secondes is still quite slow. I'm not convinced. Seems like the car is unique for the wrong reason.
you don't seem to know the sort of market this car is in, this car is in the exotic market and in the exotic market preformance is less of a deciding factor for when you're going to buy it these are some of the factors: -exclucivity (101 produced makes it rare and you're not likley to meet a person with the same car) - production( as he pointed out it took 2000man-hours to make, longer time than it takes to make a 458 for example) - matrial you don't buy a pagani because of the paper stats only
This car looks not bad. I thought Aston is a terrible car b/c someone told me that company is terrible that it could not afford to hire a decent body design so that all aston cars look similar.
The face sort of makes me laugh a bit. The grille has that shocked look that it's going fast. I do like the rear. Very mean and purposeful. But the sound it makes is the best. It sounds like a right brute.
Well looks are subjective - for example I adore the looks and thinks it is even better than the car upon which it is based, hell it is better looking than most Astons since for once they dare to change the recipe a little. And the reason why it is so expensive is, as always, exclusivity.
I think they diverted from the original concept, I remember when they first debuted it, and it seems quite watered down, maybe its the color but I'm kind of disappointed
Nice car. But the global trend seems to be making uninspiring limited editions of things and overcharging for them. Watches, restaurants, cars, fashion. Easy way to take money from the 1%.
I love Zagato styled Aston's, but this is disgrace to a great historic partnership, as it isn't actually styled by Zagato. Kind of like when Shelby (r.i.p. Carroll) started adding the Shelby name to non Shelby created mustangs.
God i just wish Aston wouldn't make their V12 so weak. I mean 5.9 liters are already big enough for a pretty powerful engine but yet not even 600? A little disappointed
makes the back of a normally really nice car not so nice, if I could afford it id stick to the standard v12 because the performance doesnt sound that different and it doesnt have that backside
The only car that doesn't have a point and yet drives so nicely is the Lancia Stratos HF. Even prick like Jeremy Clarkson cannot resist the temptation to own one of those.
It looks cross-eyed and gasping with a snappy bow-tie done with the bow part behind its head. I couldn't find a single angle i could live with for any money.
Unfortunate how the interior doesn't live up to the expectations created by the exterior. It deserves better stitching and seats, and that wavy line bs looks tacky.
prices were quoted from used cars ^ not anything new and im not sure what exactly youre looking at. And irrespective of that the point was the car isnt special at all if its jus a different shell with other Aston parts. not saying you're wrong... but just sayin
I don't like the styling, and it costs £396,000. Instead you could have: Aston Martin DBS V12 with 7,500 miles = £80,000 Aston Martin DB9 V12 with 11,000 miles = £50,000 Aston Martin Rapide V12 with 6,000 miles = £85,000 A house = £180,000 And £1000 to fill your trolley at Waitrose...
