great work! that model was really abused; it still was fairly complete, though. great work with the skiers! at least they weren't mounted on the roof, like with that other movie. XD cool gadget, and it works, too. ^^
Great restauration Paul, and although not the best Bond movie in my humble opinion, we may consider this as a little tribute to Maryam d'Abo, the Bondgirl from this movie who sadly became a widow just a few weeks ago
I'm a new to your channel I started watching your work it's nice to see someone else who loves repairing Old model cars and trucks I've seen so many toys disregarded I find lots of them I had so many I'd give them to children who has nothing God bless you for having the Thailand to repair all and so much more keep up the great work you are doing be safe I'll always be praying for you and your family and friends I pray all the time 🏆🏆🏆🏆👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
I love the idea of making a movie themed cars. Ghostbusters Ecto 1 was awesome and now the James Bond AM V8. I'm looking forward for the "A" Team GMC Van.
Nazywasz się Restorer... Paul Restorer 😄 A to kolejna doskonała praca 👍🏼 Kawałek złomu został zamieniony w absolutną perełkę na pokaz 🤩 Oprócz technicznych udoskonaleń (zawieszenie), Aston Martin otrzymał również typowe dla 007 wyposażenie. WOW 👍🏼😎 Ukoronowaniem jest (oszałamiająco zaprojektowane) kartonowe pudełko. Podsumowując... doskonałe 🤩 Paweł, jestem zachwycony, zdecydowanie kciuki ode mnie za to 👍🏼 Dzięki za udostępnienie 🙏🏼 i trzymaj się dobrej pracy mój przyjacielu 😃 Miłego weekendu Tobie i Twojej rodzinie i trzymaj się zdrowo i bezpiecznie. Pozdrawiam z die-cast crazy Paul nad Morzem Północnym. 😎👍🏼🇵🇱✌🏼🇩🇪👍🏼🤠 Your name is Restorer... Paul Restorer 😄 And this is another excellent piece of work 👍🏼 A piece of scrap metal has been turned into an absolute gem for the showcase 🤩 In addition to the technical refinements (suspension), the Aston Martin also received 007-typical equipment. WOW 👍🏼😎 The crowning glory is the (stunningly designed) cardboard box. All in all... Excellent 🤩 Paul, I'm thrilled, definitely a thumbs up from me for this 👍🏼 Thanks so much for sharing 🙏🏼 and keep up the good work, mate 😃 Have a great weekend to you and your family and stay safe and sound. Greetings from die-cast crazy Paul on the North Sea shore. Alles in allem...
Freue mich schon auf was neues. Kay
A few months ago I had heard that some people prep this restaurations and this is a clear example of that, the rust part is just paint you can tell when he pours the stripping material, there is no corrosion in this materia in fact this type of metal does not corrode
There is no way for the alloy to corrode. it can become covered with a white coating if it is affected by the so-called plague. What you see are different types of paint applied to this metal surface by the previous owner. Kind regards
The only thing you have to fear with diecast models is Zinc Pest. Rare nowadays as the quality of the melted casting metal has improved. Mainly affects older castings. Almost unknown with Matchbox.
It’s a great job as usual Paul…. I’m glad you added the skis and the other bits to it, but it would have so cool to do more….. But it looks like the way the casting was made it wasn’t possible…. Still a great job
Thank you very much. I always apply a clear acrylic car paint with a hardener at the end. it gives a beautiful shine and protects the paint. Kind regards
It’s funny you mention it… I was watching the movie with my sister and she too thought it was a Mustang…. It’s an Aston Martin, but from a distance it does look like a Ford Mustang….
Hallo Paul, diese Restauration ist beeindruckend. Wirklich toll.
I'm sure the one I had was rivit pressed, it seemed to come apart too easily with screws, are you sure this was not a second refurbishment? Still, good jod though
Didier
I believe it was due to concerns of choking hazards and eye injury 🤕 that the toy makers started to tone down the toys and models capabilities .. I have mentioned to Paul in the past that I have a deactivated DB 6 by dinky , and have only recently come across a dinky Challenger tank that fires bullets , but can fire a sharpened matchstick , the Tv Batmobile ( dinky ) can also eject plastic pellets from the deck mortar , and I have a Green Hornet , Black beauty ( deactivated) that can fire missiles from the nose, and forcibly eject a spinning drone from the trunk . Also I have a SHADO tracked vehicle that spins a movable roof that fires a spring load missile , and a interceptor that fires a nose mounted missle as well . None of these would make it on the market today 😞
