good review! picked up the coupe version last year (12,000 miles on the odometer), immediately (like the next day) started out on a two week, 5000 mile vacation trip from here in the east bay to the great lakes region and back. had absolutely no problems with the car. today i will be heading out from here in the east bay through napa to the mendicino coast and back for an all-day drive. can't wait. one of the best things about the car is that i can work on it myself. there's very little that can't be done by anyone with a set of tools and some confidence and experience working on cars. parts can be had at an 80% discount.
This is the era of Aston's I was bringing up on your live show. Lot's of part sharing with Ford, Volvo, and Jag, so actually not crazy expensive to fix/maintain. Find one a few years older it depreciation pretty much bottomed out.
I’ve driven the SL55 back and forth to Toronto to Ottawa, at least six times. Much more enjoyable than my Carrera - noise, wind, no cup holders, comfort etc. This Aston Martin takes it to the next level. I simply love it. Sadly .. maintenance/reliability do no go hand-to-hand with style, passion and elegance. Thanks for an amazingly hedonistic video.
Zack, you should have asked your wife to join you in this Aston Martin. This is the classy kind of car to be enjoyed with your significant other. I envy whoever puts this car in their garage.
I own a 2009 automatic and a 2011 manual vantage. Very nice cars that turn alot of heads but the clutch and brakes on those cars go quickly! Obviously it's about how you drive the car and how much you abused, but if you don't know somebody personally who can work on that car stay away and buy a 911 😂
