I'm not sure what the actual symptoms would be probably slow acceleration maybe increased fuel consumption, my engine had a lot of other issues due to a lack of servicing by the previous owner, I would have thought vibration when pulling away is likely to be clutch, engine mount or maybe even an exhaust mount

The twinport system on these engines is designed to improve lower speed torque and fuel economy, Vauxhall/Opel/GM fitted the system for a reason so although the engine will run without the valves/flaps fitted I wouldn't recommend removing them, it will effect the performance of the engine as it will have been mapped to include the changes in airflow caused by the twinport system, also if you removed the control valve and position sensor you will more than likely get the engine management light on all the time

Not really sure to be honest, I would imagine both engines share some components, sorry I'm not much help

Hi, Thanks for your comment, unfortunately I didn't take the fuel rail and injectors off so I'm not 100% sure, I believe the injectors are just a push fit into the intake manifold and there is a spring clip that retains them into the fuel rail one thing I would say is if you are removing injectors, replace all the "O" ring seals when reinstalling I'm planning to make a series of videos on completely dismantling the old engine in the new year so I'll work out exactly how to do this
