Yooo So To Everybody Try These Steps Mines Updated Using My Device’s App Store Version Of Command Center BTW 1.Hard Reset off and on base station (Try Both) 2.Delete And Reinstall Astro Command Center From (Astro’s Website And Your Device’s App Store) 3.Try Both Versions But Make Sure To Close The Other Before Trying The Other Version 4.Like He Said If You Get The Pop Up It Won’t Work It’ll Fail At Step 4 of 4 5.Open Your App Store Version Of Astro Command Center and You Should Get The Update Now Next To The Headsets Information This Will Finally Update You Headset
So I've had this same issue for over a YEAR with these fucking things and finally decided to give it another go at fixing them and your video finally helped me! I did a shiiiiiiiit ton of research and nothing else worked until I came across your vid. Had the same issue, even down to having a Mac when ALL the other fixes, people used their PC. So I did the same thing that you suggested. The only thing different I did was that when I opened ACC and the pop up showed up with the Firmware Update Detected, I opted for Yes and as soon as it began updating I unplugged my base station from my Mac. Then I hard reset the the headset via the Dolby and Game buttons, set it back on the base station and sure as shit, the update failed and the pop up went away and I was able to see the "Update Now" button you mentioned near the word "Wireless". Clicked on that and the update started, took less than a minute to finish the 100% and now this bitch is running FLAWLESSLY! Over a year I've been stuck with these bricked headphones and nothing worked but your video! Thank you so much!
idk if you figured it out yet but this is the main idea... you gotta work around it by trying it over and over again resetting the headset and unplugging the base station in different ways the corrupted update starts... eventually if you can see that little update box behind the big pop up try to find a way to click it by removing the big pop up and it should work! been dealing with this issue for about 24 hours now and its finally working again! just gotta find a sweet spot replugging and turning on when that update starts!
Just worked for me as of September 3rd, 2024. Hard Reset on the base after the 1st attempt failed (pop up did come up), Disconnected for 3 sec and plugged back in the cable to my MAC and took me directly to the dashboard. Clicked on the update now and it was a 1 of 1 step!!! Thank you so much!! Just saved me from a Best Buy trip lol
I had the exact problem using my Mac. Unfortunately, I didn't have the luck you did but I got it working using a PC laptop and the Microsoft Store version of command center. Thanks for being the only one out there addressing it from the Mac perspective. Great video. May not have worked for me but process of elimination and all of that. Its unforgivable this issue still exists.
I had the issue where it wanted me to re dock it after in bootloader mode trying to update. Just unplug cable from computer and plug back in. Don't remove headset. Then I was able to update by clicking update firmware in command center and it worked. Thanks for the video.

You saved my gaming life i was stuck in bootloader mode after that when it was about to fix it the app wont recognize the headset and you get stucked and right there i used your method of hard reset while on the base and then i disconnected the usb out of the computer once i plugged it back on the screen went away and it let me just update the headset only while using the left upper corner like you said amen!!!
Hell yeah dude I’m glad it helped. I had to make a video it was so frustrating for me and I had the time so I figured why not help someone who may be in a time crunch
do not wait to fix your headphones because they may not look like they are turned on but the are on and sucking down battery, took me 2 days to find the hard reset fix and took 2 tries to update firmware and when it finally fixed my headphones were at 15% power and they need to be powered on to fix them with the hard reset
Dude you are a fucking wizard . The exact thing you said with the whole screen not being covered and the update now button being there. It’s trial and error to get there but when you do it works! Just make sure it shows the update now and do it and headset will work!

Hey man. Thank you for this. Trying to update the fw. Quick question. Even before this… How did you get the Mac to find the headphones. What cable is connected to the Mac? I have the software and cannot get the Mac to find the headphones/dock. Thanks.
Get a different MICRO-USB CALBE and try updating it again TRUSTTTTT i was going at it for about 3-4 hours I was about to hop on with the boys but then the headset didn't want to connect so I went to a lot of didn't videos and non of them helped me but I was trying a lot of didn't stuff and I juts got the idea to change the power cable and it worked!!!!!!

No i haven’t had issues but I haven’t been playing as much so not sure if anything else has been going on with the headset. But yeah I only use the command center to change the EQ and updates but that’s really it. Basically I only use it once headset stops working lol glad it helped
I think it’s a great headset, it’s just the updating of it and it not working when you need to update it that’s the issue. Like our phones don’t stop working when we have an update, you know? It’s bogus
keep redownloading and getting the "update now" small text, but now it's getting stuck in "step 0 of 2" and not DLing anything! going to keep repeating the redownload step a few more times
I used a manual install once I was able to get the automatic download prompt not to pop up. I had to hard reset literally right at 50% and again at 75%. About 8 to 9 seconds at each interval. You literally have to time it perfectly. IIsh was MAD ANNOYING.
i picked up a brand new set for $100 from my coworker and i can’t get this thing to sync to my xbox series X for shit lol my crappy turtle beach headset from 2015 just uses blue tooth idk why they have this stupid ass command center or whatever! can’t even connect the headset to the app
I gave up! I updated mine just fine! Worked for 2 days and it got no audio! No matter what i did it would not work! These headphones suck! I went back to bestbuy & got a refund!
@@devanlesane apparently there is a standby by glitch that destroys the headset I'm pretty sure that happened to me because I've gone through 2 headsets in 2 years Google it and do a video on it
@@devanlesane sure did and he still could not show any updating of anything… all he did was SAY what should pop up and work and couldn’t show any of it… smh. Did you watch the whole thing?
@@devanlesane since when do we make how to videos and not show HOW TO? Usually the content creator will show you the steps AS THEY DO IT and not just a verbal of what SHOULD happen and them just pointing at a screen.
Easy fix for this Problem, turn off the "search automatic for Updates" function, then you get this small update box on the left side next to the firmware number
