The newly redesigned A10 Gen2 headset is just as durable as before, brings the noise in a good way, and keeps you comfortable for those long gaming sessions. Shoutout to ASTRO for hooking me up and being an incredible partner to my channel - If you want to get your own A10 Gen2 headset you can pre-order at astro.family/prestigeiskey and use code 'PRESTIGE' at checkout for a discount!
I’m got my pair of A10s and they are the best gaming headset I’ve purchased. After spending $100+ on other headsets that would die or fall apart, my A10s have kept going and it’s nice to see Astro giving them a revision and not discontinuing them. If anyone has ever been curious-you won’t regret it.
Have had mine for 3 years now, best purchase I’ve made, convinced my friend to get a pair after a couple of months of having them and he hasn’t had a problem either. 10/10
I like that they made the padding on the top bigger. When I had a10’s my biggest issue was after a couple of hours the top of my head would hurt real bad because of the small padding.
Don’t bother there customer service is god awful bought a defective pair and they thought I was an idiot and just wasn’t plugging them in the right way bought a set of steel series Arctis 3 Bluetooth and will never ever go back headset works perfectly and has the awesome feature of Bluetooth also can listen to music on I phone while gaming
I don't understand why these still don't have USB capabilities. Like, I'd love to buy this for my 3080 laptop, except that it doesn't have the proper inputs to separate input and output audio.
My concern is size (they look kinda small). I get that there's "no pinch because there's a ton of flexibility" but that's not really my concern. My head is 8 1/4, most headsets aren't designed for that. Regardless of flexibility. I'd like to try them, because durability is huge in my household, but I fear it would just be another waste of time.
I hope I get an answer, but is it possible to use the Headset for Game Sound on Playstation and for Chat on Xbox? I did that with my A50 on my Ps4 and Xbox and the PS5 doesn't have an optical audio port anymore, so I can't use my A50 for that. I would love to get an answer from anyone who knows :)
Can you confirm if the volume rocker works with the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S? Looking for a lightweight wired option/alternative for my wireless headsets.
theres games where water is a flat surface but the texture on it moves when you shoot at it (Metro Exodus) and theres games where the water moves in a tridimensional way (RDR2) and also games where the water looks like its moving in a tridimensional way if you look at it from afar but if you get very close it turns into a flat surface (Far Cry 5). Didnt really explain any of that
The A50 headband is built cheaper than this which is unfortunate. Just from wearing the headset the headband warps and the pad no longer clicks in place. Had to ziptie it for it to stay
I have had my a50 for about five years now and I can’t find a way to customize them. Can you customize them and how. I have tired to look but can’t find anything
I have a50 they're horrible broke twice now I have to keep sending back and waiting weeks if you buy Astro buy a turtle beach set too so you have a reliable headset to use during the constant issues
Durable headset sounds like Toto Wolf from Mercedes F1 team should get a pair if you haven’t see him during last season’s races take a look he smashes his headset quite a few times
I'm kind of upset because I heard the A10 gen 1s are better sounding than the gen 2s and I just got four of the Gen 2s for my family so we can watch movies since we live in an apartment.
@@PrestigeisKey yess! The thing that's stopping me from getting a40s or a50s for my PS5 is that they don't support HDMI 2.1 :( so you have to use a HDMI 2.0 adapter and that sucks. I'm on a20s at the moment and they are good but obviously a40s/50s sound WAY better.
@@Brad-ut1ro yea you have to dismantle them cut the wires cups off the band everyrhing. It kinda hurt to do that. They didn't work but damn. Also had to make a video of it and take pictures.
I just bought this headset after seeing this review and it has to be possibly one of the worst sounding headsets I've ever owned ? Have i been sent a faulty one ? Vocals on games and movies sound soooooo bad ? The wire is finicky and constantly i only get sound through my left side and have to move the wire around until the right side sound comes through IVE LITERALLY JUST PULLED IT FROM THE SEALED BOX? HELP ? ( ok so the wire is incrediblyyyy finicky but ive managed to get it to sound better 😄 🤣 😂 wow the wire is so bad but it is fixed ) edited ......
@@redburn1990 sorry mate i wouldn't like to answer as this is my first astro headset, was sick of buying turtle beaches and razers for the crappy plastic bits just to crack when taking off or putting on the headset so when i seen the durability of this one had to try my first astro headset, i will say i was using the razer nari ultimate headset which cost 200 quid and last about 4 months and i cant even see a difference in the audio tbh, they both sound similar and its not like ive downgraded in audio if that makes sense, only drawback is this is wired, hope astro do a wireless durable one like this cause wireless seem to be designed to break after little use Hope this helps ya
@@redburn1990 well when i put the wire in it sounded tinny, couldn't hear voices in games or movies, but shooting sounded good in games, so genuinely thought thats how it sounded hence my angry comment, can't really explain it but the wire doesn't seem to sit the best( or its my wire) after roating it a little bit the audio was clear crisp and well ..works haha, thats the trouble with wired mics i have a feeling I'll be ordering another wire for it shortly with this being a new one and finicky it spells trouble but thats just wired mics for ya, if youve ever used wired mics in the past and ever had trouble with jacks in the bottom of your controller its similar to that , if the wire doesnt sit right the audio is messed up and thats what i was experiencing when i put the comment up
@@BonkerzWIZARD oooo ok lol I had the same problem with my 1st gen a10’s lol also the volume wheel made some static noise when I would move it but yeah. Thanks for explaining your problem you had. I’ll look out for that if I decide to buy the 2nd gen a10’s I appreciate it god bless 🙏🏼.
Y’all need to get some sennheiser pc38x astros/steel series/Logitech/turtle beach all use the same cheap Chinese drivers and all sound muddy and way to much bass
