Great point! I actually meant to mention that the occupy protests a decade ago started when Jupiter was in Taurus, and that part about occupying physical space seems like a shared theme.
I'm a clinical psychologist who has studied archetypal psychology and astrology for the past 30 years, and I fully support your concerns and observations about the media coverage of the astrologer's mental health episode. Psychosis and paranoia are only partly understood, but there is some consensus that they are not a failure of reason or an inherent hazard of spiritual awareness or cosmological imagination. Quite the contrary, psychosis, as the psychiatrist Iain McGilchrist points out, is partly a function of the left hemisphere's tendency to literalize, to take abstract ideas as concrete, univalent, objective facts rather than as polysemic, archetypal images and metaphors. The right hemisphere imagines, and the left hemisphere sometimes goes awry by taking those imaginings too literally. As you both pointed out, the astrologer was evidently suffering from a form of mental illness that had nothing to do with her study of astrology. She and her loved ones deserve our compassionate attempts to understand what happened, not our rationalistc judgment that provides false comfort by distancing ourselves from the admitted tragedy.

I was in the path of totality. It was dark enough that we could see some stars. The temperature dropped about 6 degrees during totality. Also, my tulips closed their blooms.
I have heard her make deeply antisemitic comments and comments supporting the Houthis and other terrorist groups and can’t watch her anymore and dismay that she is joining Chris again.

4:11 Yes! Literally directly in the path of full totality so we had 4 min and 17 seconds to see. It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen with my eyes. There are partial eclipses, and then there's totality and there's nothing like totality. The image was burned into my brain, the rest of April felt like it was months rather than weeks.
Can’t wait to watch this. I’m a Leo rising with Taurus Stellium and so much has been happening lately. I signed the contract for a new lease yesterday and I’m moving today. On May 7th is my birthday and this year the celebration is bittersweet and delayed because my grandfather’s funeral will be that day. Lots of endings and new beginnings for me.

Interesting story: bloodied horses bolting through London on 24th April in the morning because they were spooked by construction noise. They literally crashed into a bus and a taxi. Seems like such powerful symbolism. Maybe that even connects to the story about animal consciousness?
Re: Jupiter-Uranus in Taurus and labor rights: I believe there was also a law passed within the last week allowing employees to hold 2 full time jobs, lifting prior restrictions. I believe this might be connected to the non compete laws with laborers and previous employers?
@TheAstrologyPodcast one small thing you might find relevant is that some Columbia students have stated theirs wasn’t technically the first encampment, just the one that took off first in the public conversation. They said Vanderbilt started an encampment first. I looked it up and some articles say Vanderbilt started their encampment as a result of a demonstration on March 26th. This was while the moon was still full in Libra, a couple of days after the penumbral eclipse. The timing seems intriguing as a possible foreshadowing of encampments really taking off with Columbia and the Jupiter Uranus conjunction. I also want to add that it’s such a gift to experience how carefully you walk us through every transit of the month and how it might show up for us. It engages my astrological thinking and supports my learning immensely, and possibly exponentially. I’m very grateful. Thank you.
i was in the path of totality in Montreal. It was incredible, primordial, cold. everything hushed and stars came out. everyone walked around in a daze the rest of the day. it was very special and beautiful to go through an experience like this, that connected you to everyone around you. also.. of course animals are conscious and sentient!! if you've ever met one, you'd know...
One other ocean topic is the mystery anomaly in the ocean between Africa and Antarctica. "A giant cluster of waves over 80 feet high and spanning 2,000 miles" Reports stated it was just a random anomaly in the wave radar and removed it from the data. But just a few days ago it came back and is showing up on radar again so now I'm kind of wondering what's going on. For context I keep track of wave radar because I live on the coast and watch for hurricanes, good surfing weather etc.
The eclipse was exactly on my Aries ascendant and conjunct 12h Mercury 3° orb and 1H Sun 2° orb. I went to the botanical gardens alone and had lunch with 3 strangers PLUS gained a client. The forever chemicals news and law - Neptune is also co-present in Pisces. Much of this was already known but they tried to obfuscate it; forced to reveal due to Mars and Saturn, as if Saturn squeezed it and Mars fired it out.
Might you please cover bird flu in a future podcast? I worry about the upcoming trine between Uranus and Pluto in air signs next year. Bird flu started hitting the news when Pluto ingressed into Aquarius last year, then it fell out of the news, now it’s back and could clearly be a big deal (50% death rate in humans, epic deaths in animals, cross species spread).
During the Mercury Rx: Mercury in Aries is my chart ruler as a Virgo Rising, it sits in my 8H. Trying to make all my monthly large payments-tuition, rent, and electricity was absolutely brutal! I for the life of me could NOT give other people their money during the Rx 😂 bank problems, technology problems, bank technology problems! Im so glad its over, it was very embarrassing 😅

I agree with the other comments that Diana is wonderful and her insights are profound. I wanted to add my two cents on the Pluto-Venus square because it immediately made me think of the Harvey Weinstein ruling being overturned in New York and what a terrible blow that was to his victims and the “MeToo” Movement.
Also on the topic of animal rights - there was a somewhat relating campaign in Iceland where a group of people worked to nominate a glacier (Snæfellsjökull) for president. Unfortunately they did not gain enough votes, but it was a big campaign with news coverage all over Europe (ie The Guardian, Süddeutsche Zeitung).
I have Saturn in Aries in the 4th. Mercury retrograde 6th + 9th house ruler conjoined it i got the worst case of poison ivy I’ve ever experienced. Red itchy SKIN didn’t leave my house for a week and missed a lot of school. Astrology good 🙄
Diana Rose Harper is amazing, but just so you know, calling a black person "articulate" isn't the compliment you think it is. It carries the implication that the person being complimented is exceptional, and that black folks are expected to be incompetent with their use of language.
My favorite Jupiter conjunct Uranus event is NASA successfully receiving comprehensible contact with Voyager 1 after recent communications from the spacecraft had been incoherent. On April 20, 2024, NASA received the clear message that the Earth's-message-in-a-bottle probe had sent more than 20 hours earlier! From NPR and NASA: "For the last five months, a small team at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California has been working to fix it. The team finally pinpointed the problem to a memory chip and figured out how to restore some essential software code. When the mission flight team heard back from the spacecraft on April 20, they saw that the modification worked: For the first time in five months, they have been able to check the health and status of the spacecraft." The timing couldn't be more fortuitous, on point, and aligned with the starts --in addition to the spacecrafts!

Couldn’t you say AI is just actually digital intelligence which is a collective of digital information created by humans, first… therefore being essentially human? But digitally organized? I always point out, in these kinds of conversations, that every course im aware of includes counselling. I'm manic depressive, autistic, ADHD, C-PTSD. I was studying to be a psychiatric nurse, but degenerative disk disease and wanting to be home and available for my kids led me back to Astrology. I'm grateful now that i have drs who've known me long enough to know Astrology isn't a knew thing, and seeing me reading Chris and Demetras books in the waiting room, and the thump when those books are put on their desks- they're smart enough to realise, there is clearly a LOT they DON'T know about Astrology. My psychologist has actually had my Cosmos in Psyche for about 6 months now. He's become incredibly interested in mundane Astrology and i'm not so much. He's a professor of psychology and always been a working clinical psychologist. It's hugely beneficial for me to be able to be able to talk to him in Astrology speak now that he is officially "Astrologer adjacent". My very sceptical medical Dr, dispute himself, was nodding along when i was showing him his Saturn is in his 10th house. After he got a pretty decent run down on Saturn after his little bub was born with 4 plants (sun and moon inc) in Aquarius and 2 in Capricorn. There was no way i wasn't at least going to give him a heads up, with Saturn being my chart ruler. And as Chris said, know when it's not appropriate or "above your pay grade". Thank you both again. Incredibly calming for me to hear you both, who i look up to very much as a student, addressing important issues.
Just listening to the part about Danielle - I've recently started to read books by Liz Green and feel the insight into my own complexs either spiritually orientated or conspiratorial has been greatly liberating. Not that some conspiracy narratives are not real or that spiritual experiences aren't real, but having an understanding towards the psychological placements via the birth chart is a great advantage which we can hopefully gain great insight into in order to help the rest of mankind ❤
The story with the astrologer who suffered the psychological breakdown and the story about it reminds me of something Chris said before: A lie can travel halfway around the world in the amount of time it takes to the truth to put on its shoes.
Witnessed the eclipse in totality from my late grandmother's house in Texas alongside my closest family. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, pretty eerie and exciting. It's something I recommend everyone should travel to experience at least once in their life. I'm Virgo-rising so I was really nervous about this happening in my 8H. I thought someone close to me might die (I've experienced deaths close to eclipses in the past). Thankfully that didn't happen. Instead, maybe because my Mars is directly on my Asc, I'm experiencing some body transformations that I'm processing. 7:58 Reflecting on what Diana is saying: I got a job offer recently while Jupiter/Uranus was on the local midheaven and squaring my Moon/Venus/Saturn. This was a position I've been trying to get for many years and had applied to (and been turned down from) several times. I was expecting to be declined again and was shocked when I got the offer. Despite all the years of trying for this role, it almost felt like it was being handed to me out of the blue.
