This is probably one of the most important videos available to Survivors of violent childhood abuse. As a Survivor and a Practitioner (retired), I cannot recommend the video and book enough. Theoretically, the book is a major leap forward in the thinking and treatment in this arena. I know, I’ve been there from A to Z. There is nothing wrong with us, nor, was there. Only the incredibly strong, sane, grounded, beautiful person, makes it to this point. Realized or not, that is what we are. This book is extraordinary, and I have been recommending to all dealing with PTSD and Violent Childhood Survival. We don’t half to live fearful, in the dark. Ours is a continuous journey of experience. Our bodies and Archetypal Astrology show a path of understanding. Before Psychiatry, there was a more inclusive understanding. I cannot recommend this book and Dr. Gildea enough. Remember: We are the strong ones.” 💕

Poetry and poetic language provided that missing piece I didn't know was missing until I could tap into it fully two years ago. It has since then helped to improve all my creativity I feel and it was powerfully aligned with a sense of returning to a true source within me. I think it has brought an authenticity to my other pursuits because it doesn't really allow you to take shortcuts to the truth, there's a necessary vulnerability to it that can help to remind you that whatever else is going on you actually have this natural connection to yourself and to the world that nobody can really take away from you, it's always there waiting to be returned to. It can feel like a real blessing and it is, but it's almost as if it simply is what we are made of. It feels primal and waiting there to be tapped into when we can find a chance to. On another note, while that poetic revolution came first for me it is almost as if it has taken a back seat a bit while astrology has taken over my life over the last 6 months. I'm reassured by your words that it's all quite interconnected and I was glad to hear it said out loud because in a way I hadn't been able to take a step back and really consider why I've been THIS obsessed. But I do think now it is because I recognised early on how it might provide a framework for further healing and a fuller engagement with those archetypes. I just had this calling where I felt I had to absorb a great deal of it before I could return to other things, similar to the poetry in that sense. I'm really happy that you shared this video, thank you!

And I relate 100% with falling in love with the Salish Sea. I traveled west when I was 20 years old and when I reached the sea, I instantly knew I had dropped my anchor on the west coast.
