a flat earth model is useful in the same way that a flat rectangular map of the earth in a book might be. ie it can be convenient sometimes, but it does not mean the earth is actually that shape. The earth is of course a globe.
When you say "the Earth is of course a globe" what evidence do you have? The 5th Canto has no description of Earth/Bharata-varasa being a globe. There are 100s of visual proofs that the Earth does not curve. All "photos" of Earth from space are composites. Isn't it possible that the flat area of Bharata-varsa/Bharata-khanda is bound by a meta-physical karmic lotus petal? ..... That the Earth is flat, but the latitude and logitude, the distances between countries, and the observation of astronomical bodies is actually engineered by Lord Brahma to keep us imprisoned here, as if we were on a globe? After all, the globe mentioned in the Surya-Siddhanta is simply a mathematical construct, it agrees with Bhagavatam that Jambudvipa and Bharata-Earth is flat in the 12th & 13th chapter. Neither the Srimad Bhagavatam, the other Puranas nor the Mahabharata support a ball Earth concept. Are you forcing the Bhagavata model to fit modern astronomy?

Dandavats Prabhu, this is without a doubt the best presentation of this material available. Thank you for this work. Unfortunately I find this material to be an impediment for Bhakti due to the quarrelsome conflicts with modern cosmology. While you present this material quite well I still see one significant issue: at times conflicts are harmonized by stating that the material is from a geo centric perspective, at other times from Jambhudvipa. If we are to believe that the contents of Srimad Bhagavatam are transcendental then we should expect material describing the universal cosmology to be from a transcendental perspective revealing eternal truths rather than illusory apparent motion from a simple geo centric perspective. In modern political conversation this is called alternative facts. At such point that "facts" are being equated with "alternatives" in terms of veracity, a useful conversation can't really be had. While it is one thing to recognize the experience of an observer as having a certain existential reality to it, it is improper to equate the truth of apparent motion with that of an outside observer with the the perspective to see both the observer and the observed, and thus know the true motion. The mandala created by the apparent motion of the outer planets is truly beautiful, but it's a from a perspective of common ignorance, not higher knowledge. Despite your best efforts, and those of other devotees I have met, the only way that I am able to harmonize this material (5'th canto) is to consider it as something that the jnanis who are not quite ready for bhakti will get hung up wondering about and thereby the secret rasas of bhakti will remain hidden from them - which is a speculative opinion at best, and offensive at worst. One may simply meditate on the wonders of Krishna appearing as a baby crawling in the courtyard of Nanda Maharaj, or mother Yashoda giving Him affection, without needing to sort out the mysteries of the material universe. Simply chant the Hare Krishna maha mantra.
Brother as we understand the Vedic literature was composed around 1500 BCE; so how do we understand the time before that. What Yuga is 1500 BCE? Did they not need scriptures in Golden and Silver Ages?

Although I am not saying absolutely, I am suggesting that the brahmandala egg and its layers (a 'universe') is actually a single galaxy. There are many brahmandalas just like there are many galaxies. That means the mahat-tattva and corresponds to the entire cosmic manifestation called the universe today
Still very confused...🤔 When I tried to correlate modern astronomy and our vedic texts about this universe, what I used to think earlier was, these millions to billions of other galaxies makes one universe and just like this there are infinite multiverse which comes out of lord maha Vishnu. Now the confusion is, 1. If the garbhodaka sagar is beneath our galaxy, that means each and every other galaxy has its own garbhodaka sagar and there is no existence of multiverse the way I used to think, the other galaxies which we see from modern day telescopes are the multiverse, pls correct me if I am going on the wrong track? 2. As per above doubt, the location of karna sagar (salil) or the causal ocean or what we call the maha tatva, where lord maha Vishnu is lying in yoga nidra is also not clear to me. 3. Also, pls clarify about the location of lord kshriodakshayi Vishnu and the vaikunth loka mentioned in 8th dimension. Once again, the ancient knowledge of the Vedas is being retrofitted into modern theory of the universe. Bhagavatam makes it very clear that we do live on a flat plane. Bharata varsha is 72,000 miles in length and has 9 kandas, which are around 8,000 miles each in diameter. Our little earth we live on is one of the Kanda out of the other parts of Bharata varsha, which means there are more lands where human beings like us reside. We have to be living on a flat plane for any of this to make sense. In Mahabharata, Arjuna went on a military conquest all the way to Hari Varsha with his vast army. They traveled on foot and chariot. How was would they make it there if earth was not flat?

+yoga lounge I think its essentially both, ie somehow, from the mountainous regions of central Asia, through some type of porthole, qualified beings can access higher realms that are invisible to modern man. Those realms may indeed be in other parts of the universe

I went to the place shown as the the blank white screen when I smoked 5meoDMT. I wasn't even me, I just... was. It was like going back to somewhere more familiar than the place you call home but more alien than visiting another world in another dimension for the first time. The Indian soil was perfect.. the weather was perfect crops water etc..so the economy flourished. People wrte motivated to make it the best economy or civilisation.. . DID THE WRITERS OF THE HINDU VEDIC RELIGIOUS TEXTS KNOW THE BIBLICAL GOD? Hinduism advocates Idolatry. Primarily it preaches polytheism. The hindu pantheon is so big that it puts the number of gods at 330 million and even more.However any reader of these texts could observe that few verses reflect the spirit of the Bible. How could it be so? In Rigveda, there is a sloka(verse) which is the basis or foundation for Idolatry. It is "Ekam sath vipra bahudha vadhonthi" Sath = Truth (The God) ekam = is one. vipra = (but) the scholars who study the hindu vedic religious texts vadhonthi = say about him (i.e., that truth or the God) or call him bahudha = by various names eg.,he is fire, he is eagle and so also so. Meaning:- The God is one. But the scholars who study the hindu vedic religious texts call him with different names and worship him. The four vedas are the Hindu vedic religious texts.They are 1) Rigveda 2) Yajurveda 3) Samveda and 4) Atharvanaveda. These contain the basic tenets of the Hinduism. They contain the teachings of various sages and truth seekers. They made attempts to seek divine wisdom by applying human understanding outside the purview of the Bible.Their attempts were against the spirit of the Bible. The Bible says that the Idolaters (which implies inclusion of the writers of the pagan books) know who is the True God i.e., the God who had revealed Himself in the Bible. Romans 1:19 - since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. read chapter Romans 1:20 - For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Romans 1:21 - For although THEY KNEW GOD , they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Romans 1:22 - Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools Romans 1:23 - and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.(NIV) (emphasis in verse No.21 is mine) Thus they bypassed the True God and invented human gods intentionally.The writers of vedic texts claim that they were inspired and guided so to write these books by some supernatural power and We Christians are well aware of who he is. One thing to be noted is that to the Christians, God is the Creator and Omnipreseent and to the Hindus also God (who is in their mind) is the Creator but all-pervading. However in respect of the Godship, the Biblical views prevail over pagans' views. Significantly one vedic religious sloka (verse)which is mentined below says that one cannot approach the God by the study of the Hindu vedic religious scriptures. "Nayam atma pravacanena labyho Na medhaya na bahuna srutena yam ev aisa vrnute tena labhyah tasyaisa atma vivrnute tanum svam". (Sloka No 23 of Chapter 2 of Kathopanishad of Krishna yajurveda, Page Nos. 67 and 68. translated by Swamy sarvananda, Published by Sri Ramakrishna math, Chennai, India. The same sloka is also found in Mundaka Upanishad of Atharvanaveda in third mundaka, 11 canto.Sl.No.3, Translated by Swami Gambhirananda P.Nos.85 and 86, published by Advaitha ashram, Kolkota, India). Ayam = this atma = supreme being means God pravacanena= by the study of the vedas (Hindu religious texts 4 in number) na labhyah = can not be attained na medhaya = nor by the intellect na bahuna srutena = nor by much learning esah = this (supreme being or God) yam = whom eva = alone vrnute = chooses tena = by him labhyah = is attained tasya = his esah = this atma = supreme being or God svam = its own tanum = form vivrnute = reveals. Meaning = This self or supreme being or God cannot be attained by the study of the vedas (Rigveda, Yajurveda,Samaveda and Atharvanaveda which contain the basic tenets of the Hindu religion) nor by intellect nor even by much learning, by him it is attained whom it(God) chooses, this his, real form. These words were said to by the Death to one Nachiketa a young boy ( the main character in kathopanishad) when he had asked the multiple Gods in hinduism post death life. The above vedic sloka clearly states that the vedic texts could not help human beings to approach the God. It admits that one can approach the God only if he is chosen by him(God) or only God chosen people will see him(God). Kathopanishad is the most important book of the Hindu religious literature and all the sanskrit vedic scholars agree in one accord that it is the basis for the writing of Bhagavadgita, a popular hindu religious book which is revered by all hindus and which is found in the Bhishma parva of Mahabharat. The above mentioned sloka clealry states that only God chosen people will have the revelation of the God. And who are God chosen people? Read below.. Deuteronomy 7:6 - For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.(NIV) Deuteronomy 10:15 - Yet the LORD set his affection on your forefathers and loved them, and he chose you, their descendants, above all the nations, as it is today.(NIV) John 15:16 - You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. John 15:17 - This is my command: Love each other. Thus God's revelation is available only to the chosen people.The hindu vedic sages can find the revelaion of the God only in JESUS CHRIST. One may question how can the Biblical tone or spirit be seen in the slokas or verses written by the hindu sages or truth seekers in sankrit language who were the exponents of the Idolatry?. I have already answered this above by quoting Romans 1:21. So keeping in the back drop of this Biblical verse, we can say that unwittingly te vedic writers had written certain verses which reflect the spirit of the Bible ofcourse very rarely. I think that it is pertinent to mention a sloka mentioned in Taitthireeya Aranyaka of Krishna Yajurveda. To the surprise of the World Wide Christendom,it is found there in that vedic text. According to secular historians, Krishna yajurveda was composed at a place named Kurukshetra in the state of Haryana, India around 8th century B.C; According to Sayanacharya, the author of Niruktham, one of the six vedangas, the Krishna yajurvedam was composed by Thitthiri sage. The said sloka is produced below. "SARVA PAPA PARIHARO RAKTHAPROKSHANAM AVASYAM. TAD RAKTAM PARAMATHMENA PUNYA DANA BALIYAGAM" Sarava papa = All sins of the all human beings pariharo = in order that they can be redeemed, rakta = blood prokshanam = sprinkling avasyam = is compulsory, or a must tad = that raktham = blood paramathmena = should be that of the God, who is the creator punya = that comes freely danam = as a gift baliyagam = which is to come through sacrifice of him (God). Meaning = For the forgiveness of all the sins of all human beings and redemption of them, sprinkling of the blood is a must and a compulsory act. That blood should belong to the God who is the creator and it shall be donated to the human beings by Him as a free gift through his sacrifice". We can see the above mentioned was fulfilled in the death and ressurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ who was born to a virgin by the Holy spirit and sacrificed His life for the forgiveness of our sins and for our redemption, on the Cross in 28 AD or 29 AD. Thus we can say that the vedic writers know The true God THAT IS THE BIBLICAL GOD, but ignored Him in their approach to invent false gods who cannot save and redeem the human beings from their sins.

yes geo-centrism does not necessarily claim that the earth does not orbit anything. Rather it is a convenient vantage point, based on conscious observation. Like in astrology. However we must also note that in modern astronomy, the earth orbits the sun, the sun orbits the galaxy and the galaxy itself is moving. So its all rather relative.

Maybe 'south' means we are below the higher dimensions.. looking from the side of the universe... and north would be further dimensions.. not that it is like you represent here... with a big golden trumpet on a flat plane.. i think that is misinterpretation... you know.. drawing multidimensions is difficult i know... ancients draw domes and people in 2018 think we are on a flat plane in a dome... so.... drawings are misleading sometimes

how can you just flip from heliocentric to geocentric? Is it really so relative, or is this just an excuse or simple said? I do believe in more dimensional realms, and I know, it is hard to explain.
A few problems, the earth is flat, and those mountains on the earthly jambudvipa are not 16,000 miles long. I think there are many suns lighting different parts of this plane and the subterranean planes which extend for billions of miles. Our sun and contents are somewhere in the salt ocean region. There is a main sun god in jambudvipa and others light other regions in the 7 concentric island rings and their oceans.
And if you don't think the earth is flat, why does the Chinese Navy conduct all of its activities based I a flat earth map, why do u.s military documents operate based on the same. The different exotic oceans belong to heavenly planets/ realms that we cannot see. They are not the planets of our solar system but there may be links between them that we cannot understand. For example, such heavenly realms could be accessible various regions in the innwr solar system, to those who have the qualification to go there. The solar sydtem as a whole is like a huge disc in space. All the planets do orbit relatively ckose to the ecliptic plane when compared to the overall scale of the solar sydtem
