Hey, guys so in todays video, I'm imaging the Elephant's Trunk Nebula mainly from my backyard but I did take all my gear to a field close to my house because I like the peace and quiet there.
The Elephant's Trunk Nebula is a collection of cosmic gas and dust within IC 1396. This incredible deep sky astrophotography target is located in the constellation Cepheus more than 2,000 light years away from Earth.

Hey guys, I spend almost 2 weeks imaging the Elephant's Trunk nebula, mostly because of the poor weather but like mentioned in the video I hade difficulties getting some good RGB data, so I would be glad to hear your experience, and lat me so your images from the NEOWISE comet, tag me @tadejskofic Take care and clear skies!!!

Had the same experience with this nebula. Imaged it again 2 weeks ago under darker skies but havent been brave enough to integrate the data:p. Hard target indeed, but your H-a data looks great! Personally I would correct the CA around the blue stars a bit in Photoshop RAW, but you can definitely see that collecting this much data on this object was worth it! Love the video:)

Yes you are definitely right about the stars, but I did spend quite some time on trying to correct CA, somehow it didn't work out too well, I think it's time to upgrade the telescope too, probably more than the camera, but I appreciate your opinion and agree 100%. Take care 😊

@@TadejSkofic I understand it is an achromatic scope, I also have some CA with a doublet. when the CA gets too bad the Camera RAW filter, lens correction, defringe function helps me out a lot;), But I can imagen working with a achromatic telescope is tough. All the more impressive is your result:)

Have you done anything to mod the AZ-GTI? I've already had to shim and adjust the azimuth to not seize in certain directions, and have lots of play in the altitude, which seems to be commonplace and requires more work.

So the thing is that the mount is spring loaded, so it has some play I will go over that in the very near future I'm preparing a "rewiew" vido and I will show you the mount on the inside.

I want to buy the Omegon 90/500 (I have not much money). Would you still recommend it? And is the chromatic aberation bad or ok? Greetings Max PS: love it how you pull out such amazing shots with your low budget setup. Continue making videos!!!

Hey, yes if you have a low budget, I would still recommend it, for the money you pay, is probably the best you can get and I will star making videos again soon 😉
