@@inboundtitan7905 He just barely turned 22 years of age last month. He started in 2021 low single A ball for the Mets. He made it all the way to triple A in only 2 seasons. He needed something like this to possibly happen to break his nervousness at the plate and break the ice to get his bat going. The Cubs got him for Javier Baez who is batting .197 this season and has gone quickly down hill batting since the Cubs traded him. Take for example Patrick Wisdom 32 years old and was a professional minor league player his whole career so far until the Cubs took a chance on him. Making it to the pros is never a for sure thing. I am 66 years old and have seen everything where I had 2 very close friends talented enough but never made it to even play in the minors. Then I also had a fellow high school alum who was big time in high school and college but again was a professional minor league player in the Montreal Expos system. At that time was extremely difficult to get to the Expos from the minors as they were just hammered with a ton of great outfielders throughout their whole system from the minors and also at the major league level. Give the kid a break!

I can see playoffs but no shot they are winning World Series this year. I’ve got Yankees this year. When the cubs get a closer next year which I know they will then the cubs should have a chance of winning. Honestly next year I got cubs winning around 100 games considering how good counsel is.

They have have faced the dodgers, diamondbacks, rangers, and mariners. What are you one about? 3 of these 4 teams they have beaten. Dodgers, diamondbacks, (World Series contenders) and mariners. Cubs have had a very difficult schedule to start, one of the most difficult schedules.

@@Decristostyle Arizona and Seattle are at or under .500. 3 series at home against Rockies, Marlins and Astros. 3 of the worst teams. Padres under .500. Played 2 good teams this year, Rangers and Dodgers.

Before opening day it looked like the toughest April schedule in baseball. Not their fault the Astros have sucked. Mariners and DBacks kinda underachieving so far too...but the Cubs have helped that by beating them, along with beating the Dodgers

It’s because everything they ever had was because of cheating. They were never actually all that good.

See, they made it year after year because they were clearly blatantly cheating all the way through 19, and they were never punished properly after that. So they had all of the stolen post season money from their Elicit cheating scandal to spend after that. Luckily, we are finally seeing what they really are made of.

No, the Reds didn't make the playoffs, but after a terrible start to the season, they'd sit in first place for 32 days, as late as Aug. 2. They finished 82-80." In other words, it IS early.
