And I love to see that hustle be rewarded. Gotta be so disheartening to get on with no outs/1 out and not be able to make it home. Glad to see both Dubon and Jake get home after their hustle plays before that first Yordan Jack!

With Tucker back in the lineup everybody gets pitched to differently even if he doesnt get a hit. Dubon took advantage of that down in the order.

Yeah, but they're .500 in road games. It's like they're too spooked to leave the house. 21 games left you say, hopefully they can win more than a third of these coming up. I was surprised they shutout the rattlers,seeing that they are above .500. It's like the Astros don't even try to win against teams under .500,never underestimate your opponent.

@imnotcreativeenoughh 10 out of 21 against the Angels and Athletics. 3 against Seattle. 3 against San Diego and Cleveland. 2 against Arizona. Very likely if they win the games they should.

@Wikikiman considering Jake Meyers has been a .196 hitter for the last 3 months and Pedro Leon hit .100 in his chance with the team, who the hell else you want out there? Chas had a couple good games in Cincinnati, why not see if he can keep it going? There's literally no one else.

@@imnotcreativeenoughhNot Chas McCormick. I know Bregman was rested tonight but I’d like to see Dubie out there with Bregman at third. It would have also been better to not have made the trades, like getting Verlander, back, trading Loperfido, inserting a 35 year old Jason Heyward. We have a LOT of deadwood and Chas is right there among it!

It's not like Heyward is costing us money and his defense has been great. Idk what there is to complain about with picking him up, he's a great option for when we need defense in the outfield, he makes athletic plays and covers a out of ground out there.

Surely, a team like the Astros can attract outfielders that can bat?! We FINALLY have a catcher w some pop and have accumulated outfielders (Meyers, McCormick, JHey) that can’t hit.

@@Wikikiman What do you mean attract? They aren't going to come here for free, you either gotta trade for them, sign them from FA, or draft and develop them. Hayworth was picked up off waivers, so he's super cheap, we don't need him to be a big bat, just a defensive option, especially since Tucker isn't back in the outfield. The last time the Astros tried to sign a guy who could hit we ended up with Abreu, so it's not like that's a guarantee either and we are still paying for that mistake into next season.

That’s funny, I just posted, asking the same question, though I don’t think Heyward is any better… I never got that trade. He’s batted less than 250 for many seasons bar one, when he hit 269. He’s 35 years old so he’s not going to improve in that department or get any quicker.

I think the Astros were just looking for anything that could spark the outfield offensively. It's disheartening when your right and left fielders bat 789.
