The Astros have worn the same uniform for the first three games of the series, while the Blue Jays have worn three different ones. Are they just switching uniforms until they got a hit off Blanco? If that's the case, they can stop wearing different uniform for every game now.
Good news is, Mariners also lost so we didn't lose a game in the standings...... bad news is we didn't take advantage of that and move UP in the standings. Funny how at 7-0 I was just shrugging this one off as a rookie pitcher getting lit up and Jose Berrios always pitches us well, had a feeling it might be a loss anyway..... but then losing 7-6 because they couldn't score a leadoff double in the 9th (not to mention how close Peña was to a HR), it becomes a pretty frustrating L that feels like it should've been a win....
Arrighetti should've been pulled in or after the 3rd when he'd already given up 5 runs and it was obvious his control wasn't there and the Blue Jays hitters were using him for batting practice. If you're gonna believe in your starters, then you also gotta believe in your pen when it's time.
Loperfido and Cabbage. Just awful awful job in the 9th inning. You absolutely have to move the runner and get him home. Striking out by wailing wildly is not acceptable.
I hate to see them lose but love seeing them continue to fight even when they are down. You can't win them all but we are still looking good even if Arrighetti had an off day.
Imagine if we had Verlander, Garcia, Kyle Tucker back... this would have been a no brainer. Good claw-back game. A bunt to get Jeremy to third would have given you a good chance to tie that game with altuve's fly-out... Espada's inexperience
The Rangers had a homecomin' in Harlem late last night. The magic Rat drove his slick machine over the Jersey state line. Barefoot girl sittin' on the hood of a Dodge drinkin' warm beer in the soft summer rain. The Rat pulls into town rolls up his pants. Together they take a stab at romance and disappear down Flamingo Lane. Maximum lawman runs down Flamingo chasin' the Rat and the barefoot girl. And the kids round here live just like shadows, all's quiet, holding hands. From the churches to the jails tonight all is silence in the world. As we take our stand. Down in Jungleland.
