@ktcarl they're 11th in scoring. Offense hasn't been what it should be, but pitching has been like 80% of their problem this year. And Framber swinging wildly from pitching shutout complete games to giving up 5 runs in 4 innings between each start is really hurting.
The only thing that's changed since the last time I commented is that Bregman's gone a full game without popping up in the infield. Abreau's still shit, Peña can't lay off outside sliders... there's no freaking hustle outside of a few exceptions.
We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal, endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
We haven't reached the All Star break yet but is it still too early to stick a fork in this season's Astros? The team needs to be put on life support. They sure do miss Tucker not being in the lineup. I guess it's time to start following the NFL and high school football.
I think we need a petition from all of the astros fans to tell Edpada to bench Abreu. More so we need to tell Espada to not start framber (or give him 4 innings max), to NOT have montero close, maybe let pressly close.. sigh.. shouldve kept hector neris..
And do you really think Astros coaches and front office will listen to us? The fans is the least of the concerns of any professional sports franchise except to sell beer.
If Abreu gets benched it makes Bagwell look bad. If they play Abreu it makes Bagwell look bad. If they release Abreu and eat his multi-million contract it makes Bagwell look worse. It's sad when good baseball players reached that time in their careers when they just can't do it anymore. Abreu has reached that milestone yet is making good coin while sucking.
I'm really wondering if abreu's ego is in the way? What I'm suggesting is that maybe abreu is losing some vision, but he won't get prescription. Just a shot in the dark, it sure would explain how a great hitter could just stop hitting
@@donpickett202 .. I thought something very similar. I thought he may have had nagging injuries that he hid so it wouldn't mess up his contract. His lack of hustle & almost appearing to swing at any pitch to just "get the AB over with".
