I have to say a few things since this is the end of the road for the season: #1) Thank you Chili for your excellent work as always. I don't have access to watch the games live and over the years I've come to rely on you for the awesome job of editing the recaps. #2) I apologize for all the Jose Abreu hate I dished out this season. He was underwhelming during the season and I assumed it would be the same in the playoffs. #3) To all the Dusty haters...get a life. It is not his fault that the team played so poorly at home. #4) How does a team that won 55 games at home last year only win 39 at home this year? #5) Hopefully this loss lights a fire under the Astros for next year. Out of all the playoff losses that have come with the playoffs wins, this one sucks the most. Even more than the 2019 WS loss. Why? Because it was a loss to that team from Southern Oklahoma!!! This was one of the few talking points I had against my acquaintances from dallas where they had no response or comeback...and now...F***!!!

Chili, many thanks for superb highlites! As an Astros fan, I always get a big kick -win or lose. I remember the years when the Astros while in the National League had crappy owners. When it went for sale, Jim Crane's bid was initially rejected by the MLB Old Boys Club. It was a long process -can't have outsider Crane join the club! Finally said yes provided the Astros are moved to the AL where it was projected to languish in the cellar with 100 game losses. Cut to today: some folks are talking DYNASTY! Nah! Crane & Houston are still outsiders. The fans have no say -we're not owners. But as long as Crane remains competitive and brings forth a good product, the fans will stand and fight on. Win or lose we'll be that thorn on the Old Boys Club. And that's my unsolicited opinion.

Brantley went 8 of 28 in playoffs. Maybe he shouldn't be re-signed? Diaz (23 home runs, 128 OPS+) should catch at least 100 games next season and use Maldy as a sub. Jason Abreu sucked for most of season but came to life in playoffs. Is he too expensive to keep? Pena slumped in playoffs but Astros don't have a better defensive player at SS. He needs to work on hitting in off season. Tucker slumped in playoffs. With 29 regular season home runs and his defense he's got to stay. C'mon i'mnotcreative...help me out. What does every other Astros fan think?
