I was in band 5 years before this anime was released. The flute was there in my closet and this anime helped me pick it up again

I was in band in middle school and quit because of the instructor. Haven't played trumpet in a few years, this anime is making me enjoy music and playing overall again.

I'm really craving to play the trumpet and piano again. mainly the trumpet. I loved band, the instrument, jazz and concert. except I quit going into highschool. I really wish bands are taken seriously by the students and schools in the US, until then, I'll be buying myself a trumpet and playing it for my own good 😊

@@BodeyBennett sorry it's 8 months late on the reply, but the main reason I love this anime is the relationship dynamics between Kumiko and Reina and more importantly, between Kumiko and her 2 older sister figures, Mamiko and Asuka-senpai. The last half of season 2 is just beautiful in its nuances and parallels, I often come back to watch just the last few episodes just to cry again. The feeling of seeing your senpai go beyond high school, seing them grow far and far away from you, to the uncharted waters of adulthood. Kumiko is only first year, so she has 2 years left until high school graduation. That's 2 whole years behind Asuka. It's a scary feeling, and I've been there before. The last episode of season 2 where she says "I don't want to say goodbye." I felt that. I felt that hard.

@@stonecat676 ( no worries about the late reply, i usually dont expect one ) i get it, at this point i mostly read / watch stuff for the romance and relationship dynamics, though that usually still depends on having a good story, and yeah, the feels are really real in this series

Tbh euphonium is like a suppourt character that doesn't appear all the time. It's not like the most important but it is important to my heart

@@keegantan3859 ironically, that description fits Kumiko so well. She's "average" looking than most of the main characters in animes, she's not as popular as Asuka, and compared to others, she's seen as just an ordinary girl. Technically a "support". But the thing is, music won't be complete with just the trumpets playing. A support is needed. That's what makes Kumiko... well, Kumiko. Truly one of the best main characters I've seen in animes. When someone asks me what's so special about her, I just tell them, "Nothing, really. She's an ordinary person like me. And I love that about her"

The meaning of Euphonium is "Sweet Voiced". That's the reason why its warm to hear and you will feel the emotional while you played it.

Same, Hibike is literally the only anime I ever watched and I cried like a bitch. Can't get enough of it honestly

I started this in nearly the same situation. I had just finished Nichijou, a *fantastic* show, and didn't know what to watch next. I started watching the first episode of one who after another, but when I came across Hibike! I locked in on it and watched both seasons. Now I must watch the movies and await the probably-happening season 3

​​@@R3in_Ch Who thinks about yuri in this anime? I can see how before Reina said she was massively into Taki-sensei, she was acting a bit sus with Kumiko, but that's all! Not even Kumiko and Asuka were very much more than good friends (actually I still don't get Asuka as a character, but I'm bad with people like that, I take even longer than Kumiko)

TheMrCream ‘ Lmao wow it’s been a year. I attempted playing this song a month before the pandemic and was able to reach the high notes✨.But, practicing is hard when your not with the band and when you don’t have motivation 😔. Corona has been sucky and I got braces so ....pain. (Btw yes I can play the right notes/rhythms but my tone quality has been sucky lately)
