These videos are so good even if you are not Radiant you can learn so many wicked plays alongside some game techs. Mr Hooj I just started playing League of Legends and want to learn how to climb you got any tips ?
the best advice to climb in league of legends is just dont. val still exists otherwise go become gm in chess and get 12 degrees in psychology and anger management training before you touch league of legends
@@Woohoojin But the college wifi sucks for any fps game. Although we know how much of a no grass touching moment it is, my friends and I have collectively decided to sweat in that game.
I don’t even play Valorant, I’m a long time Counter Strike guy but these vids are really fun to watch. I wish my community had someone who broke stuff down like this. Steel used to, back in the day. Styko is good nowadays but there’s no banana.
Used to love watching steel one piece of advice that always stuck with me form him is it’s not always about the kills or plays u make but rather the deaths that u don’t have.
I love how intricate and complicated plays can be made in this game, and is the reason why I'm so addicted to the game. It's such a rewarding experience when studying the game pays off.
@@Pariuxbut the recent status of valorant doesn't have that much complicated, if people get better aim in average rank than this wet dream can become true
Wow my two favorite streamers collab, this is sick Also no wonder so many pros speak so highly of him, being this smart even when a bunch of stuff is happening at the same time plus he's a strong communicator PLUS he works tirelessly to improve? Can't ask for much more from a player
Just taking a minute to thank the Banana. I've learnt a lot watching valorant vods since the beginning. i'm not a ranked demon (I barely play) but I enjoy the strategic aspects of the game. I recently jumped back in my favorite game, Tarkov, with the release of their tactical shooter, and I found myself much better after a long break, because I can still apply what I've learnt about reading the enemy team, adapting my plays to theirs, coordinating with my teammates and their utilities and capabilities, etc... even in a different game, it's change the way I look at the strategic approach of my team plays in a video game, and that's something no other coach even got close to. keept it up Banana man, merry christmas, and a succesful 2024!
As someone that plays kayo frequently on ascent this was great insight. Also, this is unrelated but you mention that Tenz clip in the beginning and I remember watching that live and I believe it was sarcasm as he was extremely tilted from his bad teammates and was malding lol
This channel is very informative and entertaining, it’s super fun to implement the stuff I learn here into my unrated and swiftplay games because my casual ass only ever played comp like 5 times over a year ago out of curiosity for my rank
Its pretty funny hearing woohoojin say hes not a fan of the dart flash combo, he might mean in that situation, but im pretty sure thats one of egs lineups that destroyed so many teams when combined with a sova ult or to prepare for rushes
Just a note on the high A main flash Asuna throws on Defense - It’s because Sova has ult, so if they can’t break the dart and get scanned then you can create an opening.
Thank you Woohoojin I was hardstuck silver for almost a year before I saw ur videos today I hit diamond for the first time(4 months after discovering you) . But the grind ain't over yet thank you for the videos much love❤❤
@@utsavmisra1292 agent choice doesn't really matter as much if you're below diamond/ascendant. Playing Reyna (maybe Iso now too?) is completely fine in low elo. Presumably, if he has been watching Woohojin, then he has been playing Reyna these 4 months, and now is probably trying out other agents that make more impact in mid/high elo. If you're looking for an agent to play because you're also Diamond, most duelists are your best bet for solo queue (Jett or Raze are best, but Phoenix and Yoru are fine too, just not on every map), for controllers obviously Omen and Viper are the best, for sentinels I'd say just avoid Deadlock, for initiators I have no idea but it probably doesn't overly matter (you might have a hard time finding gecko vods to watch though).
at 42:17 i mean yea it is slightly omen fill diff but i think subroza was trying to flash the guys that were pushing cat from window thats why it went low maybe
Your favorite Deadlock one trick here. Literally today, and I mean today, I’ve started learning flash initiator. Finished watching FakeAnanas Skye Split VOD analysis earlier and I’ll be watching s0m’s later as well. Gotta learn KAY/O on Ascent and Breeze so this is giga helpful :) Do the pro analysis videos leave out anything important that the VODs contain or am I all set?
the trick to the kayo flash from rafters is to strafe along the shadow, aim your crosshair down and when it hits the corner of the spam wall and rafters pop flash, then continue to strafe along the shadow
Gotta say I finally reached immortal the other day after playing since release and you are definitely the reason I got there. I shot up to immortal 2 now! Thanks mr banana for the help in reaching the cool red rank!
this video makes me super impressed on how good pro players are, but at the same time, it makes me not want to be a pro player watched the entire hour of this (with 2x speed)
I knew about people smurfing in radiant lobbies but this vod hits different and i still cant believe it is 1 hour long, i catched up so bad. Good job on both sides asuna played so good and hoojin were explaining everything in such an interesting way
Fun fact subroza played open for tsm. There’s probably a reason he misses certain util, like the 1 way. It wasn’t as popular when he was playing omen a lot. The missed flash is most definitely just he’s in a rush or something. To assume subroza doesn’t know how to through that flash is unlikely.
I almost don't spend any time on Valorant and other competitive games in general cause of studying but your analysis is always very interesting to watch.
IVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THAT FIRST KNIFE FROM THE CORNER BEHIND RAFTERS. This is so much more consistent Second knife too? I feel so bad as a player for not attempting to learn these sooner.
37:39 Damn there are literally ZERO alternative universes where I can find out about this nuance myself. Sounds weird without context but my goat is a banana.
I liked watching your videos but I quit valorant and don't have the time to spend on valorant analysis videos anymore. You're doing great. I'll take my leave now. You helped me a lot in understanding how to think ingame using maths.
I just watched one of your videos where you said 300 edpi was as high as you thought playable, just dropped from 480 and i cry everytime I have to 180 and moving around the map is painful. But the my aim is SO much cleaner. Waiting to type more until after first low sense comp (I used to play ~600 and before val even higher in the 800 range). Post first comp game: started 0 - 8 and really wanted to switch back but didnt and ended 16/19.
That's insane that the game came down to just unpeeking in the wrong direction. I wonder how many of my games that happened to me but I didn't even realize it. Also I'll really have to remember the tip about the A main one way, as an omen main
52:21 looks like an intentional jump because his crosshair dipped down to counteract the jump effect. If the jump was accidental then we should see his crosshair fly above the jett briefly before he realizes and bring it back down, thus the jump was intentional
man i dont even watch these videos to get good like i dont think i ever played kayo lol but its insane to see how good these players are. and the vids are so good i watched this whole thing lol
I think in 48:18 he hadnt the read that reyna is main, more likely that he wanted to plant the spike where Sova from under can play with it (=better plant spot). If he had the read he could have planted it save from main
Im not sure if you've done this but I'd love for you to analyse well known one tricks who dedicates themselves to a singular agent like ziptie or grumpy or AverageJonas I think that'd be incredible.
Do you recommend filling in immo 3 or should I only stick to a very small agent pool? I mastered cypher/kj/sova/viper but in ranked I fill flashes and other controllers too where i feel comfortable on but not as good as my 4 mains. Should I stop filling?
subroza's most played agent in pro play is omen and he played controller for a long time, him missing those flashes and 1 ways were probably just an honest mistake!!
Hes 100% dialed in, comming on everything, trying hard as hell. Meanwhile, sinatraa's playing music, giving half his attention and barely lost. Bring this man back to Comp.
59:19 I would instinctively do the same mistake as Jett. As standing in open spaces in solo queue doesn't make me comfortable with no comms Gold lobbies.
the roght click kayo molly never goes where i want it to, that could be why people dont use it, then again NONE of my util ever goes where i want it, that could be why im bronze 2
Hooj , this vod convinced me that while filling in gold is probably fine once i get to higher ranks I'll be fucked cus i won't be great at one thing I'll just be average at every agent . Any advice on how to pick a main ? ( I have about 150 hours on 7 different agents omen , viper , skye , breach , killjoy cypher and chamber ) I can't for the life of me stick to one i tried once for 1 week and went on a losing streak and just dropped it . Any advice is appreciated and im sorry if you already talked about this in your streams i never have time to watch them
For solo queue ranked, maining the Duelist role is best if you're looking to rank up the fastest. However, if you want to choose specific duelists to play (from what you said, it seems that you don't), and you can't choose even after watching pros play every duelist, I would either just pick a Duelist based on your team's composition in agent select (Avoid Neon though), or choose based on the abilities you typically enjoy using against your enemies. For team comps, you basically just gotta make sure you have a "dive" type duelist (any duelist that can enter sites with movement abilities, such as Jett, Raze or even Yoru), if your team already has one, just pick the duelist you're best at. Whatever Duelist you decide to play, just don't forget that it ultimately comes down to your aim, movement, general gamesense, positioning, etc, until Immortal. Learning how to act based on various situations is the easy part, but the execution is ultimately what matters. Study pros that play your agent, take their ideas, learn to do what's "correct" in various situations, it's that simple until you become REALLY good at the game.
@@TechSupportDave im totally down to pick always pick duelist ( i would probably pick jett or pheonix as i really love oping and flashes ) but wouldn't that ruin team comps , lets say game starts , we have an instalock reyna and jett and a cypher , i always pick last so if the other person picks controller i go initiator . But now if im going to pick duelist regardless , wouldn't that make the team comp horrible , and there's also a risk of my toddler teammates getting tilted 2 minutes into a game because of team comp no? Thank you so much for your feedback btw and whatever answer you give me i will stick with . It's beem on the back of my mind to pick one agent but never duelist and that's a great idea , im just having doubts because of team comp
@@NN-yt9bl "Wouldn't that make the team comp horrible, and there's also a risk of my toddler teammates getting tilted 2 minutes into a game because of team comp no?" [TL;DR at the bottom. I tried to keep this short but I'm autistic, I can't think in a straight line LOL] *1. Unless you're a strong Immortal player (or better) then team composition will not be as big of a factor as most people think.* Even 5 duelist comps are actually completely fine at most levels of the game, and that's ESPECIALLY if it's below Immortal. In some cases, you might even be better-off with many Duelists on your team. While team composition is *a* factor, it's not an easily-preventable one, because everyone plays different agents in solo queue, and the 5 random players you will get in your lobby will rarely play the agents that align EXACTLY with what a "perfect team comp" is perceived to be. The most useful factors to look at are going to be everything *BUT* team composition: Mechanics, Skill, Adaptability, Your team's overall agent familiarity, Teamwork, Comms, Strategy, Pre-round planning, or y' know, something as simple as whether your teammates WANT to win, etc etc... Issues that may arise from these factors are EASILY-PREVENTABLE on an INDIVIDUAL level at the very least, only as long as YOU as an individual neglect the small team composition factor, and you only focus on playing your best individually on a few select agents, in order to maximise your own potential, then it will be up to your teammates to do the same. And believe it or not, there's many people like this in comp. *2. What your toddler teammates do is not your fault nor your problem. If they're not playing nice, that's their problem, not yours.* You'll probably only play with these people like once or twice in your life, and realistically you won't be getting throwers every game, so if you're not prioritising your own performance in a solo queue environment, then you're quite literally just becoming one of those players that just 'don't really know what they're doing as much as they could be'. It's quite literally counter-productive to fill, as opposed to playing the agent you have most experience and proficiency with. You're kinda 'disabling' yourself because when you do get normal games, because you'll just end up not creating as much impact as you could be. If anyone has a problem with the team comp, they are completely free to dodge. You can dodge too if they clearly aren't gonna play nice. You can try improving the situation by saying things like "dw guys I'll carry, it's chill, let's just try our best and relax ok?" but usually it will depend on your own decision-making skills. Usually the weirdos in my games dodge before I can say or do anything, so personally I'm pretty lucky. You are only doing what will make your chances of winning HIGHER. What your normie ass teammates think is none of your concern, and if they feel like throwing and being toxic just because they have failed as humans to NOT have average thinking processes and attitudes, then that's their problem. You report them, then you focus on your own gameplay, after the game you move on, take a break, reset, etc. Statistically, you WILL end up winning more games as opposed to filling, your normie teammates will obviously never get that, and filling to make them happy really won't change anything as you're just trading out your own gameplay to make some guy less dramatic (they obviously won't necessarily play better or carry you, you would be dumb to rely on something like that) *3. Extra Information.* Even the best players can be REALLY bad if they fill, some may even end up being completely clueless. If you watched enough Woohojin then you may even know some good examples yourself, this video as well as the recent Gecko VOD review are the most recent examples I can think of myself. This video is a good example because you can just tell that the game may have had a different outcome had the Omen played their role PERFECTLY. A regular Radiant Omen main may have even helped his team WIN that game, just because they would have much more than just the "Basics" mastered, so they would be able to utilise their kit to the fullest potential, at the highest level. At the very least, they would have been able to make things MUCH harder for the enemy. OFC other factors exist, and it's hard to say exactly what would happen if the enemy Omen played perfectly, but just the fact that their Util kinda sucked (even if it's on a very simple/basic level) is relevant to my point. Flawed team composition is NOT easily-preventable EVEN IF you personally were to main Controller or Initiator. Remember: Just because you have smokes, doesn't necessarily make your team composition good. I mained smokes for 300 comp hours and it made no difference because ultimately when I was in low elo nobody really cared about that stuff. Those who did were cringe. We stay away from cringe. It's kinda funny to even want that in solo queue, because even Radiant isn't VCT. However, in Mid Immortal solo queue, smokes do start to become the minimum requirement. You'd have to ask a better player as to why that is exactly. Though I don't think the "Why" is important. Ofc it's also completely valid to play comp if you are in the process of learning an agent, but if you care about other people's comp experience, then just use an alt account or play some unrated/swiftplays first, and prepare by either using playbooks from one of Woohojin's analysis videos, or by watching pro vods yourself first. Or both if you're a "nard" (nerd + chad). Or should I call it "Churd"? (Chad + Nerd). Idk. I'm not funny, I know. FYI I'm a professional typist so thinking about this took me more time than typing it. And also it's Monday in the UK and no work. *Disclaimer:* I'd also appreciate if anyone corrected any incorrect information, though I doubt many immo/radiants will read this. Everything I know is basically from coaches and players like Woohojin, Charlatan, pro players, etc, but sometimes I misremember things or maybe even misinterpret. I'm not perfect. *TL;DR: Team comps don't really matter much until Immortal, even then, mostly smokes become the minimum requirement. Maining a role is the statistically-correct choice, if your teammates don't get that, then that's their problem. If they throw a fit, they can dodge, and if they don't, you dodge. If you can't dodge, you report, you focus on yourself during the game, and after the game you move on, reset, take a break, play another, etc. Realistically, you won't get the same people two games in a row.*
@@TechSupportDave my friend , you left me speechless. I am a changed man from now on haha, from now until the end of the act and next act and on I will be sticking to one role and one role only and do my best to stick to as few agents as possible within that role . Thank you so much you have cleared every question i had .❤️
to i’ve got a question, how do you get to be able to draw on your pc? hard to explain but sometimes you pop out a pencil tool thing to draw and explain stuff, is that a separate application or?
