Well I have the exact opposite problem lmao I constantly reload on like 20 bullets and whenever I go into the red I always just auto reload no matter the situation
happened to me yesterday, i queued into 2 duo's who both no commed all game, i lost a 1v1 after killing 2 earlier that round and he asked why i played like that and i fucking SCREAMED at him holy shit i was so pissed (im taking a 1 week break from val)
You know you've been watching to much Woohoojin when you're trying to get to sleep and you're hearing him tell you the best position to sleep in to get the most kills...
Had a chamber whose comms were "all four of you should quit" and "so bad." Even before the match started, he insta locked chamber and decided to not dodge screaming and singing "We lose, pearl is the map." I shit you not, Chamber's "Enemies, B" types of voicelines were more helpful than him opening his voice chat. One dude even made a party and invited all of us except the chamber because he was brain dead.
These are the same types of people who will go to Reddit and complain about people not taking their advice too. Fact is a large portion of people have NO IDEA how to give advice or critique.
I'm gonna be devils advocate here... Sometimes while I'm clutching, i get tunnel visioned and a team mate reminding me of X utility I have can open the possibilities in my mind for better plays. And it has helped me win rounds
Yeah but most of the time it's just executed annoyingly, though if u do feel like he might have forgotten his util u could say it once and then shut up afterwards. I think its the best balance.
I mean, sure, it's personal preference and it works for you, but have you tried looking at your util before making the clutch so you'll know which utils you have beforehand? That can work, too. Iirc some people lose their focus when people are trying to backseat/comm anything. I know I do because sometimes I get distracted especially if their mic is so low qual I have to lose my focus on the game to comprehend what they said lmaooo
One of my worst online experiences ever was in this game. A couple games straight I got no responses for my comms. Then on my third game, I tried to pre-round comm the entire time, and the first comm I got back was "Yo nobody is responding to you shut up bro". This was like round 9 or 10. I'm already not very sociable, and I was actually trying to keep energy up by complimenting players, trying to call shots, and giving call outs. Sometimes the people in this game are absolutely impossible.
I’ve had games like this too, and I have a hard time being “brave” enough to comm sometimes because teammates can be pretty toxic. But don’t let it discourage you please. I’m trying to get into comp and a friendly teammate like you I would value so much more over the ones who only come during the last rounds to be toxic
shit happens man it's honestly shit trying to IGL for some people as a woman I'll try to comm for my team topfrag and basically solo win the game but if I fail I'll still be told to "go to the kitchen" when it's people way worse than me it's just self-absorbed men.... I feel you just do your thing
@@carlvargas7911 They get better because they know the game better and know what to do and say more than the previous rank. They are still trash because A) you see the mistakes of others more harshly and frequently than than yourself B)Matchmaking tries to match you up to at least one person having a very rough day/s I haven't reached high immortal yet but low immortal-high ascendent has as much variety of playstyles as from when I was low plat so its still very easy to see a teammate make a very stupid move once in a while, being higher in ranks only lowers that frequency of stupid mistakes.
Thank you so much for being an actual legitimate, harsh, coach. I've learned so much and understood from only you that it takes so much effort to improve, not just simple "game breaking" tips. I went from bronze 1 to silver 2 in only three weeks because of your helpful and insightful content. Your routine for gold is exceptional, and I can't wait to see you grow even more.
the ghost comming in clutches is my absolute pet peeve in this game. the worst part is they will give you advice on your abilities, when they dont even play your agent!
if your teammate doesn't use util, they probably don't know how to use util and didn't get to the rank they are by using util, so making them think about util mid clutch probably decreases your odds of winning the round
I didn't think was gonna be a vod review I really thought we reached the point where we needed a 50 min video telling people to shut up 😂. I was like damn woohoojin had a bad teammate in ranked finally snapped 😂
I had a game last night with no comms and once I started actively comming and making strats they started comming back. Lots of ppl are just nervous/scared/young/anxious but once the ice is broken, they know u aren't weird, and talking becomes normalized, then its not a big deal. But man do these games kinda lowkey suck when u gotta put in so much social effort just to get comms back LOL
Imo, I cannot stand people comming anything I have on my hud in a clutch. I have so many games on fade, trust me I'm playing around my eye coming back up. I know I only have 5 bullets, just be quiet and let me gamble the one tap. Its ridiculous
only things i’ll call out is if they have ult/will have ult after plant, the number of bullets left if they are low, and the cool down on abilities that are about to recharge. They may be making terrible decisions, but you backseating them is just going to make them question themselves and i would rather they make a bad decision with confidence than have them play a clutch hesitantly
Im a raze main, who wasnt soing particularly good one day, and my teammate went "just hit alt+f4 you cant do shit" in a 1v3 clutch It pissed me off so bad that it actually motivated me to top frag, which i did 😭😭😭😭
24:27 Can you give examples of preround plans here? Isn't pick/retake the default option when playing solo on ascent A? With smokes and blind omen should get a pick 70% of the time. What other kind of plan can you cook when sova is hoding tree? /g This playstyle is pretty close to my own on Ascent.
His point is any plan is better than no plan, for example I personally would play dice and tell my Sova to be ready to recon the wall so that when they come out and I blind them, we get a higher chance of holding down the site (or at least work some picks). Didn't really see how he played that round, but judging from the smoke, he was holding A main, where Sova is in no position to help him, and if he dies first as a smoke, it is virtually impossible for Sova to hold the site down alone. Compared that rough plan of mine earlier to the plan-less round that played-out, the convergent rate should always be higher for plan (if they did hit A). And out of curiosity, what rank are you?
You're thinking too restricted, the plan doesn't exactly have to involve you and where you are. For example, it this round you can say "Yo sova I'm gonna smoke top mid, can you and harbour wait for my smoke and fight tiles? I'll watch A main"
Haven't even finished the video yet but I saw a chat message that resonated with me so hard lol: "You know where they are is the least helpful comm ever" Now if that ain't the damn truth! That one and "YOU SAW THEM" are my absolute least favorite comms. If you know where they are and you think I don't, just TELL ME AHHHHHHHHHH 🤣
Is it really that bad? I use that comm with friends to check whether or not they know something or not. Rather than call a position and make them second guess themselves, I'll say "u know whether are", and if they say "I don't", then I give the call-out
@@BabyRage100 it just wastes too much time to comm something that literally contains 0 information If you call where they are and they're NOT there, then you shouldn't have said anything cuz you didn't know in the first place If you call where they are and they ARE there then there're two possibilities: either (A) your teammate already knew (in which case that's fine) or (B) they didn't (in which case that's good, you got them the info quickly) Comming "you saw them" is literally saying nothing lol, if your teammate actually saw them then it's a useless comm. If they didn't see them then you shouldn't waste time and just tell them where they are directly
@@BabyRage100 Why not just call it in the first place? That whole first sentence is useless and it makes them take their mind off the game. If you're gonna speak anyways you might as well say where they are instead of asking trivia mid clutch
@@MiLa-xi6qj at least mid-clutch trivia would be funny and recenter them, like id rather be asked "who was the second US president to be shot and live" (Reagan) than told "you saw them"
This is the only time I’ve ever disagreed with you, KJ can’t cover where Omen was exposed to but they absolutely could’ve covered where sage was, when omen died she was looking at the wall and when she peeked sage was a good 5 meters out of cover on the mini map 23:05
45:06 Okay I understand the point you're trying to make, but in Gym and Exercise it is INSANELY important to give your body COOLDOWN TIME. Shredding yourself to pieces everyday =/= gains. Shredding yourself to pieces, three days rest, some cardio, two days rest, repeat, is definitely a lot better.
42:34 you didn’t call him out when he said “close right” towards Reyna and Reyna would have had to look left to see him, not right. that’d kill me in a match so easily (he didn’t take into account reyna’s position, which I would cause I nitpick about that stuff) though, i rewatched it and it kinda sounds like “closer?” “Close”? Which is even more arbitrary if Reyna hadn’t had gunshots to his left
i have 1 guy that i play with regularly, who does this too much but ~66% of the time it's a great callout/tip, so i ignore the other 33%. anyone else that tries to talk to me during these moments gets told to shut up or instantly muted.
no sorry i 100% disagree with the "you play omen then", the amount of times i appreciate people calling out what i have so i dont need to look, when someones says "you have flash" in my head it goes "ah i should use it" this isnt from a bronze player, this is from immo 2, i call it out because they need to know what they have. Sorry wooj, but i think ur wrong
his coms are definetly subpar and he needs to consciously work on that, before taking that route of improving that i totally understand sometimes autopilot staying quiet when absolutely noone is talking in the game, personally, i always try to com whenever i find it valuable, but even in diamond 3, i will not lie there have been games where ive said next to nothing because noone else did, but that's something i've recognized myself recently and have been trying to work on, props to him, definitely still a valuable upload to everyone
Just in general no matter what rank it may be , its not the best idea to just simply tell your teammate how to play/handle a situation ESPECIALLY in clutches. It ruins their own momentum and experience , just let them suck so that they can be better at it next time or whenever , especially when your teammate makes a mistake.. yelling at them and point out that they suck isn't gonna help anyone and not even you. You can't expect them to see what you see.. If you really want to point out their mistake , pick your words wisely , like a friendly tip or something and encourage them to try better. When one person is positive , so will everyone else regardless if you lose or not.
Tip is always useful. Truth is if you're with pros or your boys (premade), a comm for what you have or where they could be is extremely useful in clutch. Most people who complain about getting "advice" are either having people yell at them (which occurs 20% of the time) or players misplaying and blaming "loss of focus" due to three words. If I tell someone "he's playing offsite" or "he's not backsite" and they get mad because I'm distracting their clutch, they just have extremely poor presence of mind. Any player worth their rank would appreciate useful callouts especially when you're tunnelvisioned with the clock on your ass
Honestly, when i'm the last man alive and I need to clutch for some god forsaken reason and I'm waaaaay far to the other site. I give them permission to comm me their last known location, their health etc. After that, they need to shut up while I'm trying to clutch or else my pressured mind is going to malfunction like a broken record and won't clutch at all with the pressure.
Is it wrong of me to mute players like the reyna the moment they start providing comms in that manner and have proven they don't provide comms? I'd rather just not listen to them complain about their deaths and use their mini map info instead. To be fair, I'll still comm for the reyna's success should I be in a position to do so, but I won't want to hear reyna's inputs.
am i the only one who appreciates, the callouts of my teammates? if i was that omen in the first clip its not like he was yelling at him, but im bad and gold 2 so what do ik lol
I was playing a comp game “I’m gold 3” and there was no coms the whole game even thought they all talked first round. I saw 2 on flank and I knew one was dead for sure but I asked if there both dead no response so I just hoped and died.
on 8:10 when you comm what you hear it's clear to me that I can't hear both them taking orb nor the stim, but I hear the footsteps. Can someone here in the comments help me figure out if it's youtube video stuff or just my ears 😅
Yo this video got me dying with the incessant roasting esp from like 8:00 to 12:00, poor dunkchai lmao and woohoojin is sooo funny when he's disappointed hahahaa
Yeah, the idea of shutting up in clutches is completely dependent on rank. I'm only just starting in valorant so I'm diamond, but I was global elite for 4-5 years in CS. making comms in clutches in the highest rank is completely unnecessary because typically the decision making is already good. But in any comp game, with lower than the highest levels (so in diamonds and below) the DM is usually panicked or just outright wrong. Making calm calls to teammates then, in my opinion is completely fine. The only time I would say not to do it is when the person clutching is clearly on a heater of a game, then it's best to stay quite. Especially if your having a bad game.
i hate when people just say "you know where they are" and NOTHING ELSE, LIKE MAYBE I DIDN'T SEE WHAT YOU SAW SINCE IM TRYNA SHOOT THE GUY IF HE SHOWS UP
BRO'S PING IS AT 12 💀💀. The server room is just his neighbor. I wish my wifi would do that, instead of giving me 13k or 100% packet loss once in a while
Wohoojin, i don't wanna be that guy, but as a latin-american, if you dare comm every single thing like that round 1 explanation, you are just gonna get yelled at to shut up, idk man, i think comming more escencial desicions is better
I'm a lower rank player, and the chat is always quiet like shit. No one respond to my callouts most of the time except when I'm the only person alive, then the other 4 suddenly have ideas as to how I should play and what util to use.
Someone did that to me on Fracture on A Main today. I was Skye they were on site (just two) and they was like you have dog. Dog out and im like no their right there i wont get both and one of them could swing while my dogs out.
the reyna was comming that he had smoke but hit push to talk too late. Still doesnt excuse only comming in a 1v3 clutch but thought i would point that out.
1:58 this is true in LoL, if your team made a bad call or a bad engagement, why follow that? do what you can control and if you know you cant control your team then fuck it
I hate when ppl call out low ammo, like I KNOW, I SHOT THOSE BULLETS. Maybe I don't want to give away my pos with a reload sound. In general, if someone has to listen to bad comms in a clutch, they are X amount less focused on their aim placement and gun fight preparedness depending on how dumb the comm was.
Wait I do wanna know what I should be doing if I'm playing at over 100 ping in that gen off angle hold scenario. Because I do hold off angles playing at higher ping because I remember hooj say how when you're peeking right, ping also comes into play when determining who's winning a peek battle
okay i play comp cod and i’m pretty good i rank top 1% every year when i grind ranked play and in hp it’s just call outs after call outs and i do this in val because i’m in silver/gold and there game sense is just shit and i’ve very much have helped win rounds just by calling out what to do
Imo if you comm out that hey you have __ ability is ok if they dont notice it but, you sould never only comm it out in a 1v1 and your its first comm of game. Also when they probably know and wont need to use it. Because sometimes your teamates dont notice and it could help them win rounds but it can also mess you up.
i run deathmatch quite a lot, however, i'm hardstuck S3. my deathmatches are filled with immortals, ascendants, and diamonds. i can hold my own, but it's hard to work on stuff like movement, and all that when i get sat down the second i see anyone
what if the enemy is guaranteed far away and you want to give them an idea of how to play the clutch since u feel like your idea of how to play it is almost flawless/rlly good conversion? or is that a nono too? just cuz i feel like sometimes people panic with their decision making in clutch scenarios, or maybe im just low elo :( edit: (specifically for when theyre attacker and they hv bomb down since defender retake is harder to come up with an "absolute plan")
you think its bad I you call out a util that just recharged? ex: sova used dart and just got it back I usually just say "recon is back" or something short
I'm not a live viewer and only like 15 minutes into the vid, but what's the point of reviewing the vod when they don't follow the advice you give? It's nice of you tho
I had a teammate scream at me during my clutch that I was going to lose and that I should off myself; so... uh... yeah, I would rather have someone tell me that I have flash.
played in Singapore servers silver-gold elo and i swear i can't remember the last time I had a fully toxic teammate. 99% of us are pretty chill altho sometimes the com can be way too quiet.
32:07 I'm practicing making plans. Omen, Reyna, Sova to hold A. Omen with a phantom in wine, playing contact off Reyna. Omen in wine allows for a really good blind, and the idea behind the phantom is he''ll be less likely to get shot from enemies shooting at where bullets are coming from cuz they won't be able to see the tracers(While they are blinded or Reyna eye is out). Sova can either play heaven or tree based on recon (Tree would probably be best). Idk if this is a good plan at all.
Hey! Not sure if this is late or if you still play the game but I would still like to comment. There is nothing wrong with the plan itself, but it is somewhat shortsighted. You have a good setup for A itself but with a sova, reyna and omen on a you have a killjoy on B and a rather weak midhold with cat smoked. For one round this is a very good plan, but not a good plan to set up with every round, especially with how strong Sova is on B. Maybe you can do something in the midround with this plan. Hope this helped and good luck!
