Ben, thank you so much for posting this. I am getting rid of my old computers. I had this very old EeePC 1005HA I wanted to wipe everything to give away. I couldn't remember what old copies of data I had on it. I kept getting a BOOTMGR error. This workaround helped me get it restored, wiped and on it's way to Best Buy to recycle. Many thanks!
sir can u help me? restoring the windows? my laptop dont have the boot booster there's only 3 choices Boot Device Priority Boot Settings Configuration OnBoard LAN Boot ROM [Disabled] thats the only choices i have
Do you still have that HP Pavilion 6545C, and if so, were you still planning to make a video about it? I ask because that model was a computer from _my_ childhood.
Unfortunately, I no longer have the Pavilion. My dad recycled it when I got my second PC. However, I am always perusing thrift stores and eBay for one. If I come across one, I might buy one for a video. :)
Hie. My Asus Eee 1001 pxd is upgraded Windows 7 ultimate. I want to restore it to factory settings. Will my windows will go back to Starter pack which was earlier. Kindly reply
You probably don't have the recovery partition intact anymore. Check Disk Management to see if the recovery partition is still there. If not, you'll need to do a clean install with an external USB optical drive.
@@benkleinberg97 Hello. I wanted to follow up on this part. I am pressing F9 and when the Windows Boot Manager screen opens, I'm only seeing the option 'Windows 7" and not "Windows Setup" like yours is. Is this what you are talking about when you say I need to check the Disk Management to see if the recovery partition is still there? Thank you.
