Without Arctic LF II and Deepcool LT/LS these comparisons are pointless. If we are talking about the performance wise they have to be in the list. These 2 products are the giants of the market and I really would like to see how “Asus” performs against them!
@@OC3D For sure. But again, if we are talking about the performance, at least one of them has to be in the list to show the reality. Yes, you may try to compare OEM brands with each other, but we have to get the point somehow.
I bought one of these, but I'm disappointed with the screen quality. When placing the gifs, the quality is automatically reduced by the software, that is, I did not see any change in quality as promised. There don't seem to be any changes from Ryujin II, has anyone else noticed this?
I’m the type that spends a lot on HW with upgrading to the latest i9 and 90 series each time. But the Asetek technology is the same on 90% of the AIO’s beside the cryo cooler from coolermaster and that german cooler. You just have to get the one with the latest gen, nxzt, lian li,… they all do the same. 😅
@@basshead. So Asus doing a 180 on the Warranty, Does this mean they care or did they have a gun pointed to their head And as for being naive, it was the customer that put them where they are ****head....
I purchased the Original Ryujin 360 when it debuted with its postage-stamp sized screen, then I purchased the Ryujin II 360 and just yesterday I purchased the Latest Ryujin III 360 all are in separate systems. All Three totaled up is just over $1,000. USD. D"oh!
This AIO system has a very, very bad screen. When you turn it 90 degrees you can't see anything. It inverts colors like the very first old smartphones. and it's very sad. Disgusting screen on a premium product of a premium brand. I warned you before buying
And if they are at the third iteration of the product, it means it sells well enough for them to continue. This is absolutely stupid. Who are the brainlets that buy this crap ? If overall prices are creeping up in the hardware space, it is not because it cost more, it is because idiots are buying it.
I love it when comparing the 360mm version to the 420mm 150i by corsair you can see the ROG perform 10*c cooler than the bigger models of the previous gen pump plus a 6 year warranty.. you know what they say, you get what you pay for 👌🏼
I just received my ryujin 3 360 today :3 can't wait to get this beauty inside my new build. your temperature specs sheets looks awesome. hope it can handle the 13900k well
Can't justify the price personally (though wireless fans are always a win). I'm sure there's alot of R&D budget tucked into that price. And at £300 they would recoup that R&D cost allot slower but reviews and therefore sales would be allot better anyway. Also people put the hoses that side..... It makes it look cluttered :D People think it'll clip the rear fan but 9/10 times you can get them to miss, Bit off topic. Jonsbo HX7280 review (£90 OCUK)??? I've got one and love it! But can't justify buying another to send to ya just yet though.
Differences between v2 and 3 are minimal; the pump is not there's, so no actual cost involved, and Gen 8 is louder than the last gen. EK is still better overall from a performance/cost point.
Ive had mine for a year now. I had a lot of trouble with usb/lcd screen in armoury crate. Got that worked out after many updates. The rgb on the fans stay red blue and green. I filed a ticket with asus. They ran me through the steps i already did. Asus escalated,i got an email telling me to do the same steps again and if it didn’t work to contact my mobo manufacturer. Well guess what my mobo is an asus b605e -f. So the buck stops here! Waiting on a response from asus. Check and mate asus!
I ordered one, mind you I live in Thailand so it only cost 250 quid here. Like you said, my rig is already very expensive so that bit extra doesn't really make a difference at this point 😅
granted this is an old video, but i am wanting some help, where on the motherboard do i connect this to so i have total control over fan speed etc ? thanks
First of all, I would like to thank you very much for your beautiful art, but I have a question, I am very curious about the sound coming from the pump.
I had mine for three months now and the cpu fan sounds like an airplane. It so loud and I can't adjust the fan speed through its software. So far, it's been a piece of crap!!!
I can't say I approve of the CRT TV like design! 🤣 I like the Lian Li inspired fans tho, this needs to become the standard...looking at you, Corsair. I don't know if this has improved but I had a Z73 and hated the LCD screen. It's a cool idea but the viewing angles were atrocious and just wasn't doing it for me so I sold it and went back to a H150i.
Hey man, thank you for this great review and btw, could you review "Phanteks Glacier One T30 (Gen2) 360mm AIO" as well? Cause, according to Robytech, it's 1 degree better then EK-Nucleus Lux CR360 (under full load), and it's also very quiet apparently... Would really love to hear your thoughts! Thank youu
I bought a complete ROG build with the 14th gen i9 and a ROG RTX4090. I had a NZXT Kraken installed and it bothered me so badly and felt very out of place. Now the performance wasn't bad but I had to replace it with the Ryujin III just to have everything matching.
I bought the NZXT Kraken Elite 360 rgb and it rocks. I can run RU-vid videos, Gifs, different temp readings and even make my own custom screen layouts. They give a really easy way to make it how I want. It keeps my Ryzen 7 5800x around 50°c when gaming, at around 35°c in idle.
Im sure the pc industry are all hell bent on self destruction! Disgusting prices on most components and now one of my Favourite brands behaving like a spoilt brat, then game developers doing dreadful ports the list goes on..... Sad sad times for PC gamers 😢😢😢 Cheers
Bought the Ryujin III and transferred my Ryujin II to my backup PC, and I can simply say this -the Ryujin II is equal to Ryujin III the "ROG Tax" here is coming from the new magnetic fans and a "better" screen.
I bought one of these, but I'm disappointed with the screen quality. When placing the gifs, the quality is automatically reduced by the software, that is, I did not see any change in quality as promised. There don't seem to be any changes from Ryujin II. Did you notice that?
For me the only plus point will be that Asus will release Ryujinn III also in white which they didnt in the previous generation. Will i buy it ? Not so sure yet
I was using the biggest Noctura to cool my i9-13900K and it was on average about 80 C, The CPU went bad due to the whole motherboard power rating debacle so i replaced it wth a 14900KS and decided to get back into liquid cooling after 20+ years. Decided to try this item along with a CPU contact frame and the difference is awesome. Running temps are around 35 C. If I do a CPU stress test, it might reach the mid 70s.
Make sure you undervolt the CPU - The KS cpu really needs a delid - please take a look at my 14900KS review and then go take a look at the undervolting guide I did
@@OC3D It may be that the new bios with the intel microcode 0x129 has handled the voltage and power issues to make mine run so cool. However, I'll keep in mind the de-lidding for a future rebuild.
I like a good blueberry muffin. That price though. I didn't know AIOs got that high in price. I haven't looked in a very long time since I got my Noctua NH-D15.
Asus ROG Rjuyin 3 360, Kraken Elite 360 or Lian Li Galahad 2 LCD 360 would you recommend for Intel 14900KS (Special Edition)? Price doesnt matter ... which is the best?
I just priced out a full EK water cooling build for the CPU, GPU, Distro plate 2 @ 420, 18 fittings with colored fitting rings and hard tubes and the medium that cost is 1798. USD and I would still have to do the work of installing it all. The build ASUS GR701, ASUS X670E Crosshair Hero, Corsair Dominator 6000 @ 64g DDR5 , ASUS Thor 1200 PSU, ASUS RTX 4090 OC that cost priced out before tax and shipping to be 4998.32 USD. Maybe the ASUS Ryujin iii 360 Not a Fan boy of ASUS nor Corsair But the case comes with fans installed, ASUS AIO at this point is less than a full water cooling system and I does not void the warranty of the 4090, Plus last build I fought with so many work arounds to make different manufactures hardware work with one another. Not this time one company for compatibility, okay two or three companies because I have Corsair Key board headset and other Stuff and I really like really like the LIAN LI Fans you would think that Corsair would have thought of that first all those cables are a joke. IT is 2023 enough with the extra cables already.
I'm selling my brand new uninstalled Corsair h150 with LCD Elite upgrade kit that I got from Corsair due to RMA of 'Red Triangle of Death' for the Ryujin 3 in White which per ASUS comes out in about 3 weeks. Also, don't have to deal with the overrated and hogish ICUE software crap anymore. Doesn't play nice with Armory Crate and honestly, the ASUS software is better. I think the Ryujin 3 is selling for $360-$370 in the USA. Not $400.
Just ordered the 240 version for £180 which aint too bad a price but after watching your Version ii video did they ever fix taking the CPU temp from the socket issue instead of the actual CPU?
i recently bought this as an upgrade to a 240mm thermaltake I was using, and my god the temps are about half what they were before. granted i haven't gotten a stable overclock on it so that may change. Only real issue, is armoury crate isn't showing the Ryujin so I can't use the screen at all. contacted support so maybe they'll get back to me soon with some assistance. has anyone else had issues with that? i've tried reinstalling armoury crate a few different way, but have had no luck so far.
No dude, otherwise I would have said. TBH though the performance is great.... Its just the pump noise and the price thats the problem.... To big a problem IMHO
Nom nom on that blueberry muffin, That price tho...... and given asus's current issues elsewhere (GN)this will go down like a lead balloon. Good review as always just the product sucks for the price.
I have had both; the pump noise makes it hard to use. Lian LCD was the loudest, but it goes to 3400 RPM. Cooling is the same +/- 1-2 degrees depending on setup.
didn't expect the nucleus to get dethroned so fast.. albeit not much but damn. I wanted the Ryujin 2 - but the cr360 was just so much better. Now 3 is out, and it's better, hah. ROG Tax be damned, that's what you get for visuals. Nobody else is doing it, at least in their style.
They did not show the EK Nucleus 360 at 1000 RPM; my test shows it's better than the ROG; it's also a lot quieter, and these 8th Gen pumps are louder than previous versions.
Gotta say... I am glad I am still rocking my old Noctua NH-D14 in 2023 and looking at how awesomely noisy watercooling is I think I will be using it for another decade at this rate.
When it comes to Noctua I really like their fans because they do the job good and I have replaced the fans for the AIO in Cooler Master NR200P MAX UK Edition Mini Tower PC Case with Noctua NF-A14 PWM Industrial PPC 140mm Fan, plus I put 4x Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM 120mm Beige/Brown Slim-line Fan on the bottom and the side panel.
Im staying on the fence because its not all as one sided as its been made out. Its also not the first time voltages have been a problem, another brand is far worse.
While I certainly really like the quality of Asus hardware (atleast for the most part), their pricing has become ridiculous over the years, especially on the ROG branding. The biggest issue I have with Asus however is their god awfull software. AI Suite is pretty much malware that can brick your system, cause instability and is pretty much impossible to get off your system cleanly without the cleaner they have hidden somewhere in thef orums and armory crate has pushed my system into recovery mode more than once when it tried to update drivers/bios aside from both programs being absolute resource hogs with like 20 background processes just because you want to change your fan speeds.
i remember i went into the 'dashboard' section of ArmoryCrate and it bluscreend my computer LMAO didn't happen again, but you bet I don't use AC anymore
@@julianrodriguez1305 It's the vrm fan below the screen. limit it's speed in armoury crate. Or it could be the pump's sound as buzzing is usually a high speed pump. As it was said in the video the pump is very loud. You can limit that to 50% as well, won't be that different from 100% pump speed in temps.
The problem is armory crate. Total garbage software that randomly breaks and either turns off all your fans and let's your CPU cook without any warning, or the fans will randomly get stuck at max speed. RGB breaks all the time, losing control so you get stuck on rainbow puke or no lights at all. I can't count the amount of times I've had to reinstall armoury crate.
