hey, after having some problems with my laptop performance i asked on a service advice facebook group and because my gpu was running on 92 celsius degree inside a game and at 0.7Volts creating thermal throttling, so i opened up my laptop and before unscewing anything i notice that the metal threaded insert(black painted zone) are broken, the only thing holding that part is the termal is there anyway to weld those back or is there a way to fix it? my laptop is working fine if i am not gaming but is a problem that i need to fix, or do i need to buy a new motherboard for it..?

There is some 2 screw at the top that don't come out and just keep spinning what can I do??

Bro for real!! I pushed one pretty hard while turning it and kinda unscrewed and came out okay but the other doesn’t come out at all just spins..

This laptop has 2 type gl553ve and gl553vd. Are inside still the same?

What mm of thermal pad did you use?

Hey :) looks like the OP forgot to come back here :P I just finished repadding this exact laptop "GL553V" and i can confirm the thermal pads are 1mm thick. You will only need x4 pieces of 15mm X 10mm X 1mm and x4 pieces of 0.7mm X 0.7mm X 1mm. Remember to disconnect the battery before you touch anything on the motherboard :)

@@adnantoromanovic491v4 I think the gap will be too far with thermal paste, if the VRAM level is the same as the GPU, it's okay in my observation, it's not
