I dont have access to my aspect settings nor do I have the ability to update and change anything going forward because theres no mac drivers it seems so i'm stuck with an old version..

What is the blinking sensor beneath the monitor near the Asus logo? And what if it would be covered?

It's the proximity sensor. It's an IR strobe, you can't see it to the eye - it's just picked up by the camera.

You can cover it if you want to, you just wouldn't be able to use the proximity sensor.

It is covered in the video, 13:20. It's a useful feature but you don't "need" it.

So why are you using display port 1.4 (32.4gbs)? Just a question because it has a lower bandwidth then hdmi (48 gbs)?

My nephew has this monitor. Every time he starts or restarts his PC the monitor defaults to 120hz. He has to manually switch it back to 240 Hz. Does anyone know why this is happening? His Windows display and Nvidia control panel are both set to 240. He uses the correct DP port (furthest from the HMDI) and is plugged into his 4090, not the MOBO graphics. We are at a loss and any insight would be appreciated.

That's really odd and shouldn't be happening. Might be worth reinstalling the graphics driver. And also go to Nvidia Control Panel - 'Manage 3D settings' and make sure 'Preferred refresh rate' is set to 'Highest available'. If it keeps on happening regardless, just use DisplayPort instead of HDMI.

Because of some setting you've enbaled which disables that functionality. If in doubt perform a factory reset of the monitor - also make sure you're not running HDR without the appropriate toggle selected ('Adjustable HDR') that would unlock those things.

@@PCMonitors ive updated the firmware and it fixed it. so the only thing that doesnt work now is when i adjust the brightness. it still does increments of 10 and not 1. i cant use display color space and gamma functions they are greyed out
