Maybe it will sink just like the zen 5 did failing waterproofing and becoming water logged time will tell nobody has totally dunked this one yet that i know of.
I think oneplus has just forgoten his original community, and Asus has understood it and made the perfect phone for real tech nerds who loved oneplus at it's beginning
Nah dont be fooled by slight of hand. Asus has gimmics their cell phones still dont hold their value and this cell phone will only continue that trend.
How have they forgotten their community... They've always has top spec phones with cheaper prices. The pro variant of this year model is cheaper then the standard variant of the LG Samsung and apple and Google devices.. There are better then those, with faster charging, faster and more intuitive UI, great screen, and decent camera.. All for a 3 years ago flagship cost. Sure the price had gone up since they first released phones... But that tends to happen. Every damn phone had gone up If they kept their 300-400$ phones they would be bankrupted..
It has got a lot of good stuff packed - The SD 855 Almost bezzel less screen 48 mPxl front and rear camera 5000 mAh battery Dedicated memory card slot Stereo speakers Headphone jack Remappable smart button - All these in a comfortable price range. One can easily forget the misses like IP rating, AMOLED screen, wireless charging - all these comes at a price. So, from a common man's perspective, great job, Asus 👍🏼 Waiting for the phone's release in my place 🇮🇳 And, a very good review, cheers mate 👍🏼
I'm rocking a Moto G5 still. It's time to upgrade and I have been trying to decide what phone I want next. The Zenphone 6 has definitely caught my attention. I think I found my next phone
I still have my Galaxy S3 (6 1/2 years old) and I'm in the same position as you. Can't decide between One Plus 7 (normal version) and the Zenfone 6. I'm leaning towards the Zenfone 6 but I always hear people mention update support as an argument for One Plus 7. That's really the only thing that's holding me back from making a final decision.
You don't have to upgrade your phone every year, you know? I Had the Moto G4 and my brother the Moto G3 and only now we decided to upgrade those phones to something else. They were still in top condition and will be used by our parents (who really need to upgrade their 100$ ZTE's) in the future. It's not even about price, just about necessity. I can't see any reason to warrant a "time to upgrade" on a Moto G5 after a mere 2 years after release. Just giving you my perspective though. I know there's people who upgrade every single year, but thankfully this trend is regressing gradually.
That 5000mAh battery is soo refreshing to see. I need that dual sim with the micro SD card slot too, but I also need Asus to add bands 66 and 71 if it's coming to the US. 🙏🏿
Damn, you just took the air out of my tire. I don't see anything about 66 or 71. I'm on a second go around with Mint Mobile on my essential and it seems to work better this time around in NYC, but if I go out to PA I won't get any service.
@@Cryosxify their past phones were best except for battery draining.. they fixed battery issues before itself.. been using asus since they had intel core processor in their smartphones .. another con is that they have too much zenUI apps which is a waste only for those who don't know how to use it.. once you learn deep about zenUI, u will know its the best UI ever in smartphones world..
Im watching this on my zenphone 3, which is 4GB...64GB storage...got this 3 years ago it runs super fast by today's standards...will love this new Zen 6
Sd855+ 5000mah battery + 3.5mm audio jack+amazing and very useful rotating camera for great selfies+ loudest stereo speakers (out of the box it's come with hi-res earphones
@@paulkramer2893 Not really, Zenfone 6's color optimisation is much better, because of high quality super IPS screen with 100% dcip3 wide color gamut, that you will hardly find much of a difference. Even the year old Zenfone 5Z's IPS LCD screen is better in color optimisation when compared to Oneplus 7 display, if we leave 90hz refresh rate apart.
Give me a way, apple, samsung, oneplus, huawei, pixel. I am the real deal, the real mpv, of course i am the real flagship with reasonable price! Yours : Zenfone 6
Im not it takes longer to charge lets be real with only 18wat charging lol. One plus has warp charging at 30wat with a 4000mah battery bye bye zen suck dust.
@@sneekibreeki4952 OP has leverage Asus doesnt when its comes to trade ins and holding their value.OP More well established brand and always will be. Asus will never be known for their phones thats just the way it always will be. OP has to many Bonuses with the best screen on the market. Asus just has cost cutting gimmics like a rotating camera to cut costs and give you less cameras with a weak display. The price of the phone is low for a reason. Add it up very simple.
I wish ASUS would make flip part bit wider and put also telephoto camera on it + one directional mic for better audio recording. Even If it would increase price up by 50 USD it would be still fine. If they can polish that flip design so it does not look so cheap and reduce display chin, ASUS have great potential in this product.
im still using Asus Max 3 (5.5 ). and its still worth it these days. 16MP rear camera, 3 gb ram. It's still very suitable for light gaming, camera shots on day. im thinking of buying the ''Max Pro'' or this 'max 6'?.. which you guys think is better to buy and more affordable?
İ am still using 2014 zenfone 5 with broken glass and broken buttons... But still i can do most tasks on it like playing games and watching movie. Zenfone 5 is my first phone and it just doesnt die. I wish i could get the new zenfone 6 but i dont have enough money. 😢
You can check out the budget zenfones, the max pro M1 and M2 are really great devices with the same 5000mah battery. The ME might be coming soon as well
It looks like dirt gets behind the camera when it's flipped open, see end of video, which would mean constantly wiping it clean to maintain a nice appearance.
This looks an interesting idea, and could be very useful for taking photos from unusual angles...where you wouldn’t normally be able to see the screen, or what your shooting. But... did you find taking photos with the lenses in the standard position awkward? I’m asking as because of the position on the lenses... very close to the edge of the phone to make the flip possible. seems like fingers would cover the camera very easily with that position. This phone could be very useful otherwise.
Asus would seriously be challenging OnePlus if they'd added band 13 for Verizon users. I was sold on this phone until I saw it didn't have band 13 at all so if that's something they can do for the Zenfone 7 then I'm all for it
Wish the camera bump didn't bulge out so much so the phone could remain flat (and not wobble) when it's laying on its back. Aside from that, the battery size speaks volumes and the triple slot for SD and SIM kills the other competition/flagships especially in favor of international consumers who travel to and from the US.
the battery is its best feature, gor $619 you can get OLED but with a notch, secure face unlock, 1440P LG G8, for $669 the one plus 7 pro gives up the headphone jack sd card, secure face id, flat screen but gives you a 6.42 1440p curved oled and triple cameras and faster storage. All are great and under $700
Well, if you had to take panorama shots Everytime you wanted a wide shot it wouldn't be as quick, and most likely because things in the photo would be moving while you set up the panorama shot, it probably won't look as good as a dedicated wide cam.
I carry the impression that the actual dual camera is necessary for video call and not the single camera as Asus Zenfone 6 is having. Hence, whether Asus Zenfone 6 supports video call? Whether Asus Zenfone 6 has FM Radio
They made front camera complicated and still manage to put 5000mah battery so nice compared to others because of front camera decreasing battery capacity
I do like this phone. Has great specs and a good price. Problem is, I have heard phone performance is not great. Also, I'm a dedicated front facing stereo speakers, lover. I've heard too, this phones stereo speakers aren't that great. And with all the other great specs, the phone sound quality and speakers could be a deal breaker. What are your thoughts on that? Thanks
What about the Lenovo P2, Back in 2016 with a 5100mah battery, and a super AMOLED 1080p display. Sure the camera isn't fancy. It won't break though, and it was less than half the price.

The P2 was a great phone, but with a Snapdragon 625 it was quite a bit off being a flagship, putting it in a different class.
Best battery in the world of smartphones. I'm fine with an IPS LCD display I've seen my mom's iPhone 6s plus they're fine. Screen is flat and excellent size and I love that. Headphone jack Traditional fingerprint scanner which I love. Top notch internal specs A super decent, imo, better than op7 pro, camera. Best front camera in the world Pure Android. Stereo speakers that sound better than those of op7 pro. Corning gorilla glass 6(u get 5 on op7 pro which is half as strong) Best price No notch Beautiful back imo Wide angle camera is the widest and clearest as compared to S10plus and OnePlus 7 pro and Huawei P30 pro holy **** Also has a customizable bixby type button damn man. I mean, purity of pixel, camera better than op7 pro, battery better than THE P30 PRO, headphone jack of s10plus, perfect screen size imo, stereo speakers that actually sound good, best price...... omg what else do u need it's a dream come true.
How did they fit a 5000mah batt in a 6.4" body? This is the smallest phone to do that, only phablets have achieved this, until now. Everyone has been removing 3.5mm to fit a bigger battery, yet this has the biggest battery AND the jack.
Looks like samsung A80 system for the camera, LCD, but sd card and headphone jack. LG G8 at $619, Oneplus7 Pro at $669 and this at $550, are amazing values, with tons of flagship features. secure face unlock, notches, 1440P, sucure finger print readers in screen and out, even both on one phone. sd card, headphone jack, seperate amp and dac on some. , google assistant, 855/6gb/128gb. hand gestures, medium to huge batteries, flat glass or curved. faster flash storage, insane memory options. crazy ppi, OLED or LCD We really have these great flagships available at way lower prices than the Samsung s10, Appl iphone XS and XS Max, and Google 3XL, and they are actually better in some ways, for slightly more than the one camera, no sd card, slower processor, less storage and ram, 1080P lcd Google 3a, and ridiculously overpriced iphone XR. It's a good time to buy a phone.
