I just had my new Zenfone Max Pro M1 (as a replacement for my Zenfone 2 Max I used for almost 4 years) when this came out. I wanna know if M2 is way better than M1

You tell it like it is, as usual. Looks really good, but like the Honor 8X and the Redmi 6 Pro, Micro USB this late in the game is really troubling. It's kind of turning me off to these otherwise great looking budget midrange phones. 😕
They underclocked SD 660 to 1.8ghz rather that 2.2ghz, and they have to put microusb because it is going to outsale Zenfone 5/Z, their main line series. USB C means fast charging and they did not include tthay because they have to put something disappointing so they can still sale their main series, this is marketing strategy and also apply to other brands as you may have noticed. Zenfone 5 is still better than this with solid build quality with similar design but built in aluminum and glass, fast charging (charges in just an hour), long battery life despite only having 3300mah etc. with the price as close as the M2. Also Zenfone 5 has AI boost, which boosts the SD 636 to be as fast as SD660.
torn between the new m2 and honor play, battery vs procie power since the price is very close especially now the play gets a discount. Well the play has usb-c has good charging time but will it offset the batt capacity of the m2? Now that's the argument in me as of now..

I bought Zenfone Max Pro M2 last December 23. I must say I'm impressed. It's really fast specially when gaming. Pubg runs smooth on medium settings. Dragon Nest M on high settings. Battery lasts for a day and a half for me (gaming included). Good steal for it's price.
@@xanprimo8511 pretty decent. Wifi connects pretty fast. Data is in 4g. I tried it in areas which my old phone doesn't pick up much signal and it went consistent 4g.
Nice specs for a mid range phone.... However, it would be great if they incorporated a wide angle lens in front camera for group selfies... In a cheaper price... If would definitely a game changer....
i just got this phone and yeah, it has a minimal lagging.. lil hiccups when I tried to clear/exit the apps... but comparing to my iphone 8 plus, I have to say that I am enjoying this android in terms of the weight.. iphone 8 plus is to heavy! anyways, glad to have this phone for the next year to come...
If you ask me, I would pick the M2. And, for what I know about stock android, it doesn't have bloatware or unnecessary apps that might make your phone lag, uses only google apps or doesn't provide proprietary apps for images, music, videos etc., and also guarantees updates for android version for at least two years.
I just got the Phone now and I must say that this is pretty impressive. The screen is big, sound is clear and round, and the fingerprint and face recognition is faster than my internet. The only downfall of this device is that the launcher looks simple but I guess I can install another one. Overall it is very impressive phone.
If it matters to ya. I had a budget of 300. And the m2 64gbs was 270 while the pocophone was 285. I went with the poco. The benchmark scores are double the m2s.
I already bought one and I promise you wont regret. And in my opinion if you are planning to get the 4gb version and you have an extra cash Just get the 6gb one.
I have a Zenfone 3 5.5 aging gracefully and saw this m2 on the shop. Nice upgrade time I guess since it's got dual cam and faster proc. more batt. Nice in paper. But when I tried em out side by side, the Zenfone 3 camera kicked the M2's dual camera's ass both front and back BIG TIME. M2's camera colors were DEAD compared to my old ZF3. I'm keeping my zf3 instead. Not worth my upg.
