Onset: birth to 2 months
Integration: 4 months
Position: Supine with head in midline.
Procedure: 1) Have child follow an object from one side to the other. 2) turn head slowly to one side, and hold in this extreme position with jaw over the shoulder. 3) observe in functional activities
Response: Arm and leg on jaw side, extend. Arm and leg on skull side, flex. “Fencing posture.” Upper extremities participate more strongly then lower extremities.
* Baby boy 5 wks 5 days.
