We use to pay on average $300 nz to attend a training day from local top hairstylists, which weren’t as detailed as the explanations you give Matt, your passion for the work is a gift to us. Many thanks 💙
That's why I'm here, because I like having my hair like this. Until a hairdresser messed it up she shortened the long parts, and left the other parts which were supposed to be cut short long. If you want something done right, do it yourself.
Thankyou for these videos. I finished my level 2 apprenticeship last year and now on maternity. It's currently 2am here in UK and I'm feeding little man and as well as learning these videos keep me awake lol. Great videos Matt and so easy to follow and understand the cuts !
I don’t always comment but Every so often I like to let my fave YT’s know how much I love and appreciate their vids. Your hair cuts etc are always on point, your 1 amazing hair dresser Matt. 😊👍
Thank you so much for this! A young family member of mine lopped her long, thick hair off and I used this tutorial at my cosmo school today to fix it! I follow you on a few forms and you always have such AMAZING info to share and I truly appreciate it.
I go to Paul Mitchell school of beauty and I just love this cut .. this is what I’m going to do on my sisters hair in the morning .. the pixie cuts are all my expertise..
Thank you Matt soooo much. I just couldn't remember how to connect the short to the long for the Asymmetrical pixie haircut. I watched your video one time and I was dead on it brought back things that I forgot. I've done hair now for about 36 years and a lot of times I forget things that I've done but watching your videos help me to remember those things and the haircut just turned out absolutely fantastic tonight. Thank you again Matt love watching your videos highly educational.
April Ann Brantley Moses I know how you feel,it’s so frustrating learning soo much at Cosmo school and then I seem to forget a lot of things I was taught. my memory is terrible and my health isn’t good and that’s made my memory even worse. I have chronic pain/fatigue and I’m always unwell and it’s destroyed my career as a hair dresser. I can’t be the full time stylist until retirement age now 😩 I dreAmed of being a hair dresser since I was little but sadly due to my health my Dream has been taken away. I wish so badly to be healthy again so I can do full time hours of hair dressing again. It’s really not fair when you put everything into a career and then your health takes a turn 360 degrees for worst. These videos help me so much too Cos I’m not doing hair as much so I’m worried I will forget things.
Unreal. Per usual. I wish cutting came as easy to me as color does. Still struggle daily. I think i rewound ( did I say rewound? That shows my age lol) this video 167 times. Awesome job !😁 👏👏👏
Same here I thought I would get haircutting faster than hair coloring but not so much. I am a good colorist and a not so confident cutter. I can’t see the “shapes” when I cut... 🧐😩😥
I know what you mean, it’s not as easy as it looks for most people. Some are just gifted naturally and matt beck is definitely gifted. Wish I was as good as him.
Love your work, you were correct calling it horizontal. You have to think where the front of the face is and how the line is to the front of face. Your section parts on top of the head were horizontal to the front of the face 😉
I just got my hair cut like this today and I was messing around with it and now it just looks weird. Found this to style it again and it looks better now. I hope others will like it. I feel i made a mistake by asking for the longer side to be shorter. It was fine before!
BEAUTIFUL Cut!!! LOVE the live model videos!! I learn SO much more with them! Thank you for being such an AWESOME role model! If I had someone like you to watch back when I first learned, I may have stuck with it more!! THANK YOU!!!
I like your video, even though I don't cut hair I think it's informative. Have you seen the hair of Maye Musk. She's a older model and has some great style. Would you consider a video in showing others how to do several of her styles, along with product suggestion? I live up in the Pacific NorthWest and many of my coworkers have that style and I think would love to learn more about styling that type hair cut. Thanks for considering.
