In the full episode of 'Life in Six Strings with Steve Vai' I head to his house in Los Angeles to get into the wonderful mind of one of the greatest players of all time. He shows me how, through positive thinking, you can completely turn your life around, being in his universe was a truly magical moment for me so I hope you get to experience some of that from watching the episode. Not to mention how terrified I was by playing 'for the love of god' with its creator but also with a band for the first time. And then there were the Bees!
Life in Six Strings is Powered by Music Drives Us who provide grants so that children can receive music lessons and instruments in schools.

Steve’s so dang good. And those Ibanez guitars are just the best, hands down. I’m actually putting together an original swirl jem that apparently the guy who did the paint jobs got fired over. From what I’m told, it’s one of the ones Steve didn’t like the swirl on, so a few of them the guy sold under the table, and this is one of them. So I’m getting an LA custom shop guitar made for Steve via on the cheap. It’s rad. The guy who sold it to me is the guy who painted the jungle satriani guitar. Coolest guitar ever.

Vai’s positivity and spirituality is like an art. I have no idea how he does it, but it’s beautiful. He has all that talent and knowledge and such a deep grasp on the beauty of life and the depth of his own soul, so I feel he’s not just an artist in his musical abilities, he’s also an artist in lifestyle and outlook on the world. I just love the guy, don’t have the words to describe how amazing he is.

I really didn't and Steve actually had to go back to work in his studio after and said I could just hang by the pool and chill. We spent the whole day together and I loved every minute! x

I had the book The Magic in Your Mind after hearing Steve mention it years ago.... I read about 1/2 of it and the bag I had it in along with my running shoes were stolen. It was extremely hard to find back then in the late 80's.. so I ordered it from an old Book Store. I always thought it was great that Steve would write down in a journal his dreams also.

The first book that helped me realize Im not schizophrenic was " The Astral Body " by A.E.Powell ( Theosophical books ), I was having alot of out of body experiences , ' Alien ' experiences , time travel , and lots of psychic phenomenon...also guitar has helped keep me sane . Just started the video..I really hope that they look at and discuss Vai's, Heart guitar for a little bit. That thing doesn't get talked about at all these days...and when he introduced it, it was absolutely crazy. Maybe Mike Batio's 4 neck stole Vai's Heart guitar thunder...heheh.

Funny thing is I know for the love of god start to finish note perfectly (took me about 2 years and all my autistic strength and determination)... ..it would have freaked him out if I was interviewing him, he suggested it... and I was able to perform it all.

I'm sorry, and so stressed out...my only guitar doesn't work, Steve Can you please send me a guitar. I don't have any gear except a partscaster that i ruined trying to change the finish and a pignose amp.
