The funniest moments from the TBS comedy show Angie Tribeca with the most hilarious character, Detective Hoffmann the dog. All rights reserved to the original creators, TBS
I LOVED Angie Tribeca...The openings for the first season with the screams and the one cop puking were HILARIOUS... The show was as good as Police Squad.
Funny stuff! But, I must say, my favorite Hoffman moment was in the poker tournament episode. Tanner asks Hoffman for help coming up with curse words, and Hoffman's barks get *bleeped*. Laugh just thinking about it!
So, if you like the zany, silly, slap-stick, non-stop (what some people would call stupid and they don’t get it) humor, you will like this. It’s so funny! It’s a TV show that pulls off funny without a laugh track. LOVE that. So, if you liked movies like, Naked Gun, Airplane, Major League, etc. You will love this show. They cast it so well and Detective Hoffmann is only a small sample of how funny this show is. I love everything about the show and all the cast and crew work really well together. With a movie you, can put this together with time to work but, as a TV show, this kind of comedy is really hard to pull off given the time constraints. Thanks Steve and Nancy Carell for bringing us Angie Tribeca!
Haha yeah, theres a lot of jokes that i recognize from The Police Files and Naked Gun, and just like those shows, I wonder how the hell these actors say this stuff with a straight face.
Absolutely agree!!! Hoffman is one of the best parts of the show!!! I wish they'd put him on the credits - for a tongue-in-cheek type of show like this, I would expect they would add him to the credits like a regular character. I was so disappointed that they didn't feature him much in Season 4...
I'm sorry, but I don't see anybody was able to pull off this show for an entire season. I'd lose my shit in every scene. OMG, when Detective Hoffman drove off like that I died.
It's even funnier because I assumed Hoffmann just wanted to play the bad boy cop and go do some donuts but I rewatched the scene and realized that Hoffmann did this because he was JEALOUS of Geils and Turner bonding together. Yes they tried to do character development with a fucking dog. And then at the end of the episode they just hugged and realized that they both missed each others.
This show is half dung half funny. High points are Tanner and (Officer DAVID) Hoffman and the captain from Dear John. Everyone else is ok but that Tanner and the dog deserve their own show...
