Disclaimer: I OWN NOTHING. All rights go to their respected owners. King of the Hill is an American animated sitcom created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels that ran from January 12, 1997, to May 6, 2010 on Fox.
It’s sad because king of the hill was probably one of the last American animated shows to actually have pretty good writing. Now the Japanese are the only ones with a monopoly on this.
2:05 whole scene just kills me. Bill’s scream, Hank deciding to throw loose change instead of his beer and Dale immediately picking it up, the way the raccoon runs, the way Hank sounds, and Dale offering his card for further services after he shooed it off…. Just a masterpiece
I didn't really like it as a kid, but as an adult, I freaking love this show. It just has this timelessness that other shows from the same era just didn't have.
@charleskadletc2431 King of the Hill Reboot Ordered at Hulu With Original Cast - IMDb. A return to Arlen, Texas is in the works at Hulu. A King Of The Hill revival has been ordered by the streaming platform with co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels set to return along with the rest of the original voice cast.
I think this show can serve as an IQ test of sorts. If you find this show funny and understand it’s themes, you’re probably of at least average-above average intelligence.
@@SarcyseTiranin My uncle was at a Hooters in Florida and was asked by a waitress where his accent was from (he has a thick New England accent). he said "New England" and she said "have you ever met the Queen". So yeah lots of dumb in this world
The scene where Boomhauer relates the story from his perspective and all the characters have his speech mannerisms but his speech is normal is quite possibly the best scene in the whole series, at least top 3.
@@Kaerikillington i dont find the more raw parts more flavorful. to the contrary. browning the meat gives it a lot of flavor. i draw the line when it starts to toughen.
Spot on!! I watch it almost everyday on Hulu now lol so damn funny. I watched The Simpsons when I was a child bc I didnt understand KOTH as a kid. Now I love it waaay more than The Simpsons.
I used to hate watching this while waiting for the simpsons to come on, on fox 11. Then hated even more when the simpsons would end for an hour of malcolm in the middle now both of these shows are better imo then the simpsons
gogotrololo 619 I don't get that joke. hank should know English is about writing properly with propositions and proper punctuation not just speaking English.
I love how Hank Hill is portrayed as super up-tight but he would rather throw money at a raccoon then to waste his beer. Than Dale picks up the change, that's gold.
kingdomkrook Dale would never do such a thing, everybody knows that coins are still in circulation because the government hides little trackers in each one to track people... especially poor people as rich people can be tracked by their cars, and today by their electronic devices.... I saw that scene as a total screw up in the script....Dale hates the government and would not knowingly acquire government tracking devices without immediately throwing them in an RF blocking pouch (at the time of this cartoon the only known cheap way to do that was with a faraday cage or thick lead lining)....
The male soccer and football teams at a local high school were practicing on adjacent fields, as I walked by them on an adjacent public sidewalk. Some female students walked by, also. One of the females, looking at the soccer team members, said to the other females "They're so little." I played goalie. But I'm the same height and weight as the guy who has scored more touchdowns than any other player in the history of the NFL.
Bryson Kuhn they couldnt include it because that was one of the most useful uses for a can of WD-40... it was more of an instructional video than a funny moment...lol
You shoulda seen the KOTH rpg threads on 4chan where everyone pretended like it was an mmorpg and pocket sand was one of dales skills that was OP and constantly getting nerfed
The "I'm too fat" scene is one of the funniest things I've ever seen on a TV show. You think it's going one way, only for the tables to completely turn on you.
Just like on Silicon Valley, there are no wasted characters on King of the Hill. Every single one has a very unique personality and they're all hilarious. Mike Judge is a genius.
I think that’s what makes a good show great. That’s why I like futurama. Each character has a unique personality which is entertaining enough to not need constant comedy.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but hath passed from death unto life. This verse is from the Christian Holy Bible, and the speaker is Jesus Christ. My friend! Your sins (All bad deeds, thoughts, neglect of duty in the good things that belong to you, e.g. all wrongdoing is a sin!) Your debt before God has been paid, and therefore you can pray for example: God, Jesus, I am a sinner, forgive my sins, and become the Lord of my heart, and give me your Good Spirit! YOU HAVE NO HOPE OF GOING TO HEAVEN BUT JESUS CHRIST, THE LIVING SON OF THE LIVING GOD!!
I never understood Hank as a kid and laughed at how "over the top" he was as a kid. Now I'm an adult and I married and purchased my first house. Nothing in this world beats mowing my own lawn. It beats doing drugs.
@@MapleisCrack Yeah I can only remember at the top of my head, but it was some kind of congregation with Connie's religion in the Hill's Backyard. There was this table that had these sacred item on it, and Connie was elected to pick up a pair of items for the monks. (I guess as some form of initiation test.) Bobby randomly strolled in out of nowhere and accidentally picked the right pair, leading the monks to believe that he is sacred himself.
I never got the appeal of this show until I hit my twenties. It's actually a pretty wholesome show at times. Hank Hill is a top 5 favorite animated character on my all-time list.
This show is amazing. I just love it. Despite all the differences they have, they're just human. The Hank is an anagram for Khan gives it away a lot. They have their differences but are alike in many ways. Hank tries to push bobby into sports and it does not work whatsoever, Khan pushes Connie into studying and learning the violin which obviously works. Hank represents our obsession with fuels (propane being the metaphor) while Khan represents our obsession with materialistic stuff. I could say loads about this show. Like how Dale would approve of Bobby if he was his son, and hank would approve of Joseph if he was his son. Unhealthy sex lives and emotion repression is a big thing in the show. It's very well put together.

@@ryanbrown4053 Yeah, I remember when old Family Guy was funny. Like the times they played entire Conway Twitty songs. Its even worse than the time I told Elijah Wood to give a mentos to that chimp! (ENSUE LAUGHTER)
@@johnnywhitsel1583 south park is still funny because it only takes about a week to animate an episode and they can do jokes relevant to the current things going on
im 14 just came across this show a couple months ago and its brilliant. everyone thinks its boring but its so therapeutic and calming. fr a comfort show
@George B why would you waste perfectly good meat by cooking it well done? If I buy top tier steak and you ask for it well done I might just have to kick your ass
Best clip from the show is when Peggy was growing an organic garden at Bobby's school, but she started having problems with bugs, or something, and she was reading how to get rid of them by putting a bowl of beer in the garden, reading that the bugs will start drinking the beer and fall in and drown, and then she adds "JUST LIKE GUDY GARLAND!" I swear, I about fell out of my chair on that one, and I'll bet it isn't part of this video (haven't watched it all yet).
