Please be sure to invite some big names like the great, Patrick Husbands; the great Joel Rosario; Irad Ortiz, Jr.; Jose Ortiz; Andrew "Narry Cartoon" Ramgeet; Shawn Bridgmohan; Rajiv Maragh; Deshawn Parker - he needs absolutely no introduction, and whose presence alone will re-kindle nightmares for some other Jockeys holding memories past; Javier Castellano; John Velazquez; Mike Smith or Victor Espinoza. A no-name Jockeys' list just doesn't fly! Congrats to Dane Nelson and the connections of Toona Ciliata. Well done.
Then again, at my mention of those highly accomplished Jockeys - the Diamond Mile's purse money is chump change when compared to most major stakes races in North America that these elite Jockeys are used to riding for. However, the Diamond Mile holds similar prestige to the Breeders' Cup Classic in America. These cash-rich and principled gentlemen understand fully that it'll be just a show to rev up the fans' base and nothing more. A PR move geared most towards helping the promotions company rid itself of the red (debt). No worries!
