Today’s 15.5 mile hike turned out to be a stormy affair. Though we avoided the heaviest of downpours, we got to Dennytown Rd. with soaked clothes and shoes so we decided to pitch our tents to avoid a predicted late afternoon downpour.

Nice scenery today. Think that you just traversed the lowest point (Hudson River) on the AT and within 500 miles reach one of the highest points @ Mt. Washington on the trail is interesting.

We did a section of New York including this video but we did North to South. A couple of us went up Bear Mountain heading South the rest took an easier route. The climb down to the bridge was very steep.
