At what age do women stop growing?
Women stop growing at 14 or 15 years of age. Or a couple of years after menstruation begins. Girls grow at a rapid rate throughout infancy and childhood. When they reach puberty, growth again increases dramatically.
Women usually have a growth spurt one or two years before menstruation begins.
For most women, puberty occurs between the ages of 8 and 13, and growth spurt occurs between the ages of 10 and 14. They grow only an extra 2 to 5 centimeters in a year or two after they have their first period. This is when they reach their adult height.
However, this can vary. Women who start their period at an earlier age can often expect to see more total inches of growth after the start of their period.
